College offers a good campus life.

Faculty: The college and the department have a very good faculty who have years of experience in the teaching field. They provide notes and study materials of their own and not from outside sources. The courses are curriculum-relevant and help students with placements.

Supportive teaching and good placement training.

Faculty: The faculty members in my college are well-qualified, experienced, and supportive. Teachers explain concepts clearly and are approachable for doubt clearing. They guide us in academics, projects, and exam preparation. Internal exams and lab internals are conducted accurately, which students find university exams easier.

TIST Arakkunnam: An honest review from a fresher.

Faculty: The department benefits from experienced faculty members whose advice helps bridge the gap between theory and practice. While the schedule can get busy, focusing on labs and solving previous year papers makes the exams quite manageable.

It has good placements and a calm campus, but self-effort matters a lot.

Faculty: Teachers are generally qualified and knowledgeable. Most of them are helpful when approached. Teaching quality varied among faculty but was overall satisfactory. The course curriculum is relevant under KTU, though it is more theory-based and requires additional self-learning to become industry-ready. Semester exams are moderately difficult and need consistent preparation rather than last-minute study. The overall pass percentage is good. Many students pass if they attend classes regularly and pr...

It is a very good college for doing an M.Sc. in Forensic Science.

Faculty: The professors are all very helpful, they are all very knowledgeable, and they have a lot of teaching experience. This course is absolutely curriculum-relevant, and it makes the students industry-ready. Since the semester exam is based on practical, it is a little difficult, students have to study hard, otherwise they will not be able to pass. The pass percentage is 40% for each subject.

Good college for M.Sc. in Chemistry.

Faculty: The professors here were very qualified and well-educated. They were all very knowledgeable. Their teaching quality was very good. The faculty members are all very helpful. Here, semester exams were taken every 6 months, which was a bit difficult, and if students don't study well, it's a bit stressful to pass.

Although it's a good campus, there are some negatives. Should improve the sports activities.

Faculty: Teachers are very supportive and teach well. The syllabus is very good and a bit tough to study. Exams are also tough. We have to score 20 out of 50 in semester exams to pass. For internal assessments, it's also the same 20/50. But if you fail in internal assessments, you have to get the balance marks in the main exam to pass. So, the total should be 40 out of 100. Scoring maximum in internal assessments makes the marks safe.

Satisfied, good faculty, and energetic events. Good placement and worth money.

Faculty: Teachers are really good. They teach well. Explain topics very clearly. The syllabus is much different compared to KTU. So you may find it difficult to find online classes related to the syllabus. Most of them help you with any doubts. Exams are a little more difficult compared to KTU but the university is good unlike KTU.

There are many opportunities for growth, and placements are consistent.

Faculty: Permanent faculty members are really helpful and knowledgeable. The course curriculum changes every 4 years and is relevant. Exams from old semesters are somewhat tough. Students should acquire 40% in semester exams and 50% in total (semester + internal) to pass. Electronics and Communication Engineering classes are at DOE.

Review of Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kochi.

Faculty: Our curriculum is updated. It is harder compared to KTU. We also have the option to take a minor and an honors. We can take a minor in other branches. Our teachers are highly qualified. Most of them are Ph.D. holders and take their profession very seriously. They keep us updated and help us to be industry-ready. Semester exams are harder compared to KTU. Questions can only be answered by students who understand the concept fully. 50 percent is the pass percentage. The courses offered are good. W...

CUSAT overview of performance, reputation, and student life explained.

Faculty: Teaching is just what you expect from any other government college. Few of them teach really well. Given that, they are all pretty approachable. Pass percent as per the 2025 syllabus is 40%, and it is required to have 40% in internals as well. Minimum attendance of 75% is required.

Dissatisfied because of the lack of events and campus life, but teaching and placements are good.

Faculty: Most of the teachers are well qualified, and most of them have a doctorate too. They also teach well. Some exceptions are there, but still, most teachers are good. As per the 2024 syllabus, the course is highly curriculum relevant. Therefore, many skill development courses are being studied.

The college has a vast ocean of memories.

Faculty: They are very supportive. The curriculum is amazing. We get to interact with many professors who graduated from top IITs. We also get to interact with many senior students from different states or reputed colleges. Since, our university provides the best research resources.

Other than the contact faculty members, everything is good.

Faculty: The permanent faculty members are really good and knowledgeable, but the contract faculty members are not so much. The curriculum of the course is relevant to the industry. The exams are quite easy to pass, and quite hard to get good marks. The most permanent faculty members are well qualified with published research papers, and all but the contract faculty members are just postgraduate passouts.
