IIIT Bhopal College Review.

Placements: About 75% of the batch has been placed, and the placements are ongoing. The highest package so far is 58 LPA in this session. Top recruiters are Microsoft, Cred, Atlassian, Google, and Flipkart. About 40-50 students got internships and PPOs in the 3rd year at Flipkart, Google, and Salesforce. Top roles offered in my branch would be software developer, AI / ML engineer, Data analyst, and quantitative analyst.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not that good, as sports facilities in our hostel were allocated to us after almost one semester. Even when they did provide sports material, it got stolen or broken. About the food in the mess, it's terrible. There was even a nut bolt found in biryani once.

Faculty: The faculty is really qualified and knowledgeable. They perform their duties with full dedication, and they're really good at ATIT. They would never make students feel like they're being judged for asking questions. The curriculum is super relevant to the modern industry requirements, and college exams are moderately difficult. About 80% students pass every subject.

Student perspective of the Indian Institute of Information Technology Bhopal.

Placements: Placement opportunities at the Indian Institute of Technology Bhopal are steadily improving every year. Since the Cyber Security branch has been recently introduced our batch will be the first batch to graduate so the placement data for this branch is still developing. The overall placement scenario of the institute is good. The average package is offered around 12 LPA-14 LPA in recent years. Several reputable companies such as Amazon, TCS, Adobe, and Rapido visit the campus for recruitment. The placement percentage which I heard from my seniors is generally above 80 percent.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure at the Indian Institute of Information Technology Bhopal is still developing as the college does not yet have its own campus. Classes are currently held in the NTB and MPSTEP buildings of Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal. Hostels are located in BHEL Township, Bhopal, near the NCC ground and are only provided for first-year students. The hostel is below average with some issues like water, electricity shortage, and pests so from the second year most students shift to flats or private accommodation.

Faculty: Faculty at the Indian Institute of Information Technology Bhopal are generally qualified and knowledgeable, though teaching quality can vary from professor to professor. Some teachers are very supportive and helpful in clearing doubts. Review of Indian Institute of technology of Bhopal.

Placements: From my seniors, I heard that only people with above 8.5 CGPA are allowed to sit in the placements. So recently from the strength of 500 people only 150 were allowed to sit, and out of these 120 were placed. An average package came out to be around 26 LPA. Top companies like amazon and Rapid Nvidia also come to my college.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very poor. The Internet does not work properly in the college. In the name of the campus, our college has only 2 buildings as the campus is under construction. The names of the buildings are MPT Step and NTB.

Faculty: The faculty of the college is great but for some branches the faculty is not available. In Cybersecurity branch, there is only 1 faculty. There are 3 types of exams held, onle is mini for 10 marks and mid is of 20 marks and end exams are of 60 marks. There is a problem of attendance.

It is a decent college mainly focused on academics.

Placements: Placement states are generally good. Many students got placed here on campus but many students often try to go off-campus. The on-campus average package is about 10 LPA- 15 LPA with the highest going about 85 LPA. Many companies like Amazon, Nvidia, TCS, and Geeks for Geeks come here for placements.

Infrastructure: As of 2025 there is no permanent campus but it is in progress to build a decent campus of IIIT Bhopal. Right now we are using MANIT Bhopal campus and we have hostel facilities for only first year for boys and for girls they provide hostel for 2 years. After that you have to live on your own.

Faculty: Teachers here are qualified and knowledgeable but you still have to put in your own efforts to pass the exams and tests. The course curriculum is relevant to the needs of modern society and you can learn many things by following the college course. College provides a relatively grading system here.

Other: IIIT Bhopal is a bit on the more expensive side around 16 lakhs for a one-year course including fests, hotels, mess, and daily needs. As the campus is currently operating from MANIT Bhopal we get to access the MANIT Bhopal central library, sports facilities, and many more. The crowd is good and the college provides a good coding culture. We have many coding-related clubs and cultural activities for extracurricular activities.

Placements: The percentage of placements is very good, and last year, 86% of students got placed with an average package of Rs. 1,800,000 and a median of Rs. 1,910,000, with the highest placement of 8.6 LPA. Additionally, 70-80% of students got internships last year with major companies like PayPal, Amazon, Meesho, and Flipkart.

Infrastructure: Hostels are just okay. You can enjoy the hostel, but all hostels are only for 1 year. The Wi-Fi facilities are not good, but the classrooms are very good. We have 4 departments: CSE, ECE, Maths, and Physics. The mess food is not up to the mark sometimes, but sometimes it is delicious.

Faculty: The curriculum is good, but not industry-focused. You have to do coding and academics side by side, and you have to qualify for exams with more than 8.5 CGPA for good placements. The exams are sometimes tough and sometimes easy, and the teachers are highly qualified and experienced.

College is under MANIT campus so placement is good but campus is not very cool enough.

Placements: The top packages are generally placed in ECE branch or CSE. 80-85% of IT students are placed (varies slightly year to year). The highest package is 30 LPA to 35 LPA. The lowest package is 5 LPA to 6 LPA. Average package is 14 LPA to 15 LPA. Overall, the highest offers can be higher, but the above figure reflects IT-specific outcome.

Infrastructure: Boys hostel is available only for 1st year, and it is very far from college. IIIT Bhopal does not currently have its own permanent hostel on a standalone campus. First-year students get hostel rooms at BHEL hostels near Bhopal, with college bus transport to academic blocks. Academic infrastructure is solid for coursework and projects. Residential facilities (hostel + mess) are adequate but not excellent. Permanent campus infrastructure is still under construction. Students often move to PGs after their first year for comfort.

Faculty: Faculty members are well-educated, and some are helpful but knowledgeable. It makes a student industry-ready. Semester exams are difficult but we can crack them after 1 to 2 weeks of study. Most teachers are well-qualified (many with PhDs or industry experience). Professors generally explain concepts clearly and are approachable outside class. Teaching includes theory, programming labs, and project guidance. Some adjunct/visiting faculty from industry also contribute to special topics.

Other: This course is really helpful as it is something like computer science branch. It is under MANIT campus so events and fests are not bad enough.

Infrastructure: We do not have a good Infrastructure in college. Hostels are taken from BHEL. The college campus is in MANIT, but IIIT is making a new campus of 65 acres. I think it will be completed by 2030, maybe 2027, for JEE Main students with campus and hostel facilities.

Faculty: Faculty are very good in their own domain of subject. They are good enough to teach all of us, and here the examinations are tougher than those in other colleges in India, like IIT and NIT, and all are industry-oriented. Best IIIT for placements, scholarships, and facilities.

Placements: I am in my 3rd year now. Almost 50 students have been placed for an internship. Even I got a Visa internship, and the CP (Competitive Programming ) is the best for this college as it is an IIIT. The highest placement till now is 2.25 LPA, and the average is nearly 18 LPA for ECE and 22 LPA for CSE, which is less compared to the previous year.

Infrastructure: Our college is not so good in infrastructure, which is the reason many people don't prefer it, but it has good labs, library, and classrooms since it is a temporary college in NIT Bhopal, that's why not everything is good, but who needs a good building for good knowledge.

Faculty: Exams are quite easy, which is the best part of this college, as you don't have to focus on core subjects and can focus on job roles. The course curriculum is the best as you can choose electives. Semester papers can be skipped if you are not in the mood to score well, so it can be taken later.

Other: I am enrolled in the Electronics programme, a good part of which is that you can get into PSUs easily through college campus placement. I want to ensure that the latest technology is implemented in this course. There are a total of 4 courses and 2 fests every year.
