JEE Main 2026 Percentile Calculator
NTA has released a detailed formula, using which the percentile score is calculated in the JEE Main information brochure. Candidates can check out the formula to know how to calculate the JEE Main 2026 percentile using the formula.
The formula to calculate JEE Main percentile from your raw score out of 300 is as follows:
Step - 1: Distribution of candidates in two shifts per day:
Candidates have to be distributed into two shifts randomly so that each shift of the JEE Main 2026 has an approximately equal number of candidates. These two Shifts would be as follows:
- Day-1 Shift -1
- Day-1 Shift -2
Step 2: Preparation of results for each shift:
The examination results for each shift will be prepared in the form of:
- Raw Score
- Percentile scores of total raw scores
The percentiles would be calculated for each candidate in the shift as follows:
Let TP1 be your percentile score of the total raw score. Your percentile in your shift will be:
Step-3: Compilation of NTA score and preparation of result:
The Percentile scores for the total raw score for all the shifts (Day-1 Shift -1 and Day-1 Shift -2) as calculated in Step 2 above, are merged and are called the NTA scores, which will then be used for the compilation of results.

Yes, you can wear a hijab in the JEE Mains exam as it is considered a religious item. However, you will likely undergo enhanced security checks at the exam centre.
You should arrive early to complete this frisking process. Make sure to keep your face visible for identification.

The SUPR section is comparable to JEE Main, but REAP section is considered challenging as it requires creative thinking and "out-of-box" problem solving. It can be compared to the Olympiad level questions.

OJEE and JEE syllabus is somewhat same and different in some places. The OJEE syllabus for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics is different from JEE. In JEE, the physics syllabus includes topics such as Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Optics, etc. These topics require knowledge of physics topics.
