JEE Main 2022 counselling registration for admission to NIT, IIITs and other GFTIs has started. Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has released round 1 and 2 seat allotment of JEE Main counselling. JoSAA 2022 round 3 seat allotment will be announced on October 3.

JEE Main 2022 result has been RELEASED for both sessions 1 and 2 of Paper 1 BE/BTech and Paper 2 (BArch/BPlan). Candidates can download their JEE Main result 2022 scorecards using the direct link given here. Along with the results, NTA has also released the All India Rank in paper 2.

NTA conducted the JEE Mains 2022 session 2 exams from July 25 to 30. A total of 5.4 lakh candidates appeared in the JEE Main 2022 July attempt. JEE Main 2022 session 1 exam was held from June 23 to 29 for which 7.6 lakh candidates appeared. The NTA conducted the exam online as a Computer Based Test in 501 cities across the country and 22 cities outside India. JEE Main 2022 exam had three papers, Paper 1 for admission to BE/BTech course, Paper 2A for BArch admission and Paper 2B for BPlan course admission. All three were of three hours duration and will have Multiple Choice (MCQ) and Integer Value (Numerical Value Answer) type questions. Paper 1 had a total of 90 questions while Paper 2A and 2B had 82 and 105 questions respectively.

What is NTA JEE Main Exam?

The Joint Entrance Examination (Main), also known as JEE Main, is the exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) to shortlist candidates for admission to BTech, BArch, and BPlan courses at the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and other Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs). JEE Main also serves as the qualifying exam for the Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technologies (IITs). National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the exam every year in multiple sessions. The exam is conducted in 13 languages across all the states of India and several countries outside the country.

JEE Main 2022 Result

NTA has released JEE Main result 2022 for both sessions 1 and 2. To check the JEE Main result, candidates will have to log in on the official website using their application form number and password/date of birth. Details about the percentile score of subjects and aggregate percentile score will be mentioned in the result. Candidates have to download and take a printout of their scorecard as it is required at the time of the counselling and admission process.

JEE Main Cutoff

NTA has announced JEE Main 2022 cutoff along with the announcement of session 2 results. JEE Main cutoff is the minimum percentile score that candidates have to score to qualify for appearing in JEE Advanced. JEE Main cutoff will be different for various categories.

Candidates must note that there are NO minimum marks or cutoffs which students need to obtain for passing JEE Main exam. The score that candidates get in JEE Main decides the All India Rank and admission to NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs is purely based on the All India Rank. The JEE Main cutoff is only for appearing in JEE Advanced.

JEE Main 2022 Answer Key

NTA has released the JEE Main answer key 2022 for sessions 1 and 2. The NTA first released the provisional JEE Main answer key session 2 on August 3 which was also open for the challenge up to August 5 and the final answer key was released on August 7. Candidates having objections to any answer in the provisional JEE Main answer key were allowed to challenge it online from the official website. The NTA reviewed the challenges and released the final answer key. The JEE Main final answer key is unchallengeable and is final in all respect. The result of JEE Main is calculated using the final answer key. Along with the answer key, NTA has also released the candidate response sheet and JEE Main 2022 question papers. Candidates will be required to log in using their application form number and password/date of birth for checking the JEE 2022 answer key. Coaching institutes have released JEE Main answer key on memory-based questions.

JEE Main Question Papers 2022

The official JEE Main question paper 2022 for the July session has been released by NTA. JEE Main 2022 July question papers with solutions by coaching institutes have also been released for July 25, 26, 27 and 28 shift 1 and 2 exams. 

JEE Main question papers are a great source of preparation and information about the exam. They explain JEE Mains weightage chapter-wise of topics covered in the exam and also the difficulty level of the exam. Students preparing for the exam are advised to practice JEE Main 2021 question paper and also the previous year's question papers for at least 10 years. This will help students in understanding the various aspects of the exam like which topics are asked regularly in exams, and what is the difficulty level of the paper among others. JEE Main previous year papers also serve the purpose of mock tests and sample papers.

JEE Main Counselling 2022

The counselling process for admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs is organised by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). Registration for JEE Main 2022 counselling started on September 12. Candidates who have appeared in JEE Main 2022 and obtained a score have to register for JoSAA counselling for admission to NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs. Candidates who appear in JEE Advanced also need to register for JoSAA 2022 counselling for admission to IIITs. The process of registration is done online and the allotment of seats is based on the All India Rank of candidates. Candidates can check here the participating institutes of JoSAA 2022 counselling.

JEE Main Participating Institutes

The participating institutes of JEE Main are the colleges that participate in the JoSAA counselling for admission in various Engineering, Architecture and Planning courses. Besides JEE Main participating institutes, many colleges offer admission based on the scores of JEE Main but are not a part of JoSAA. Such institutes organise their counselling process for admission.

There are a total of 31 NITs, 25 IIITs and 19 other GFTIs that participate in JoSAA counselling. The number of seats in these institutes can be checked below. Other institutes which offer admission based on JEE Main scores are from the states which do not conduct their entrance exams for engineering admission and include U.P., Bihar, M.P., Delhi, among others.

JEE Main Application Form 2022

JEE Main 2022 session 2 registration is closed. The last date to fill the JEE Main 2022 application form was July 12. Application forms were available on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in. The process of filling the JEE application form is completely online. At the time of filling the JEE Mains 2022 registration form, candidates had to upload scanned images of photos, signatures, educational certificates, and documents about reservation benefits. Documents required for JEE Mains 2022 form include a scanned image of a photo, signature and category certificate (if applicable). How to Fill JEE Mains Form 2022

Step 1- Open the official website

Step 2- Click on the “JEE Main 2022 Registration” link

Step 3- Fill in the required details and click on the “Submit” button to complete the registration

After the completion of JEE Main registration process, candidates will receive an email and message in their registered email ID and mobile phone number with details of the application form number and password. Candidates will need to keep safe/save the details of registration.

Step 4- After completion of registration, candidates will be redirected to the page of filling the detailed application form. In this step, candidates have to provide details of educational qualification, parents' details, address of communication and permanent address, and exam centre preference.

Step 5- Upload scanned images of passport size photographs and signature

Step 6- Pay the application fee

Step 7- The application form will be automatically submitted after the successful payment of application fees.

Candidates need to download the filled application form and take its printout. It is advised that candidates keep safe the print copy of the application form until the completion of the admission process.

JEE Main Form Correction 2022

The form correction facility for the session 2 applications was provided from July 1 to 3. The facility to make corrections in the session 1 application form of JEE Main 2022 was available from April 6 to 8. All registered candidates were allowed to make corrections to their filled application form by the login. Candidates must note that only specified fields were open for making corrections. Details like category, address, photo, and signature were open for corrections during the facility. 

JEE Main 2022 Eligibility Criteria

NTA has released the eligibility criteria for JEE Main 2022. Candidates can check here the eligibility criteria prescribed by the NTA required for appearing in the exam. It is necessary that all candidates ensure their eligibility before applying for the exam failing which their candidature will get cancelled. Candidates not fulfilling the basic eligibility criteria will not be eligible to apply and their candidature can be cancelled anytime during the admission process. Thus, it is advised to every candidate to ensure they fulfil all the conditions of eligibility before filling the application form

JEE Main 2022 Exam Centres

The NTA announced exam cities allotted to candidates for appearing in the exam before the release of admit cards. The total number of exam cities where the exam will be held is 525. The total number of exam cities has increased from 334 to 525 for JEE Mains 2022. Candidates have to fill out four choices of their preferred exam cities at the time of filling JEE Main application form. Candidates will be allotted one exam city out of the four options in which candidates have to appear in the exam. Following are a few details related to JEE Main Exam Centres 2022.

  • Candidates will see the list of exam cities for filling in the form according to the address mentioned at the time of registration.
  • Candidates have to select any four cities of their choice as test centre preference while applying for JEE Main 2022. NTA will allot a city out of four options.

  • The allotted exam centre/city will be mentioned on the JEE Main 2022 admit card. To check the exam city allotted to them, candidates will need their login details along with JEE Main 2022 application number and date of birth.

  • Please note that the decision of the NTA regarding the allotment of centre, date, and shift will be final. No correspondence or request will be entertained in such a case.

Cracking an exam like JEE Main requires dedication, determination and planning. Thus, it is advised that students must have a preparation plan to crack JEE Main 2022. The syllabus of JEE Main is vast and can be covered only when studied in a planned manner. It is advised that students make a JEE Main timetable for preparation and study as per the time to complete the syllabus. Also, the selection of the right books, analysis of previous year's question papers and solving mock test papers will help students to prepare effectively. NTA has released JEE Main 2022 session 2 admit card. JEE Main admit card is available online on the official website. For downloading the JEE Mains admit card 2022, candidates are required to log in using their application form number and password. Only those candidates who have filled the application form within the specified last date have been issued JEE session 2 admit card. Admit card is essential for appearing in the exam, without which a candidate will not be allowed to take the test.

Details about JEE Main exam date and time, address of the exam centre, basic candidate details like name, photo, signature, and details of paper for which appearing will be mentioned in the admit card. Candidates need to download and take the printout of their JEE Main 2022 admit card.

The B.Tech admission process of MIT is done through TNEA counselling conducted by Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Tamil Nadu. TNEA counselling is based on 12th marks, so JEE Main marks are not needed here. You can participate in TNEA counselling on the basis of class 12th marks.

But choosing your home state NIT will give you a very big advantage rather than competing for other state NITs as you have home state quota. But choosing your home state NIT will give you a very big advantage rather than competing for other state NITs as you have home state quota. But with such a good marks you can compete for top NITs if your home state NIT is not so good as the others like NIT Warangal or NIT Trichy. You can even try for advance and try for some good IITs. If you think that NIT is enough you can surely end up with CSE in good NITs
