JEE Main Counselling 2026 Date
Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) conducts JEE Main counselling for admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. Candidates who appear in JEE Main are eligible to participate in counselling for admission to all participating institutes of JoSAA through JEE Main scores. The JoSAA JEE Mains 2026 counselling is now ongoing at josaa.nic.in.
- Eligibility: Requires a valid JEE Main or JEE Advanced score.
- Institutes: Covers 23 IITs, IISc Bengaluru, 31 NITs, IIEST Shibpur, 26 IIITs, and 56 GFTIs.
- Seat Allotment: Based entirely on the choices candidates fill during registration and ranks of JEE Mains and JEE Advanced.
- Confirmation: Candidates must accept seats using freeze, float, or slide options before the deadline.
To participate in counselling, candidates have to register online on the JoSAA website and fill in the choices of their preferred institutes and branches. Candidates allotted seats through JoSAA counselling have to confirm their admission online and deposit the fees as per the dates mentioned in the provisional allotment letter.

JEE Main 2026 Result Date Session 2 Paper 2
The JEE Main paper result 2026 session 2 has been announced at jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates have to use their application number and password through the JEE Mains login portal to check their results.
Candidates must download the JEE Main result and keep it safe for admission purposes, especially during the counselling process. The JEE Main Result consists of the candidate's normalised percentile score in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and aggregate percentile score in all three subjects. Candidates will be able to know about their colleges based on their scores using JEE Main College Predictor.
Along with the JEE Mains Result session 2, NTA has also released the JEE Main Cut off Percentile, which are the minimum marks candidates need to score to qualify for JEE Advanced.

The challenge window was open until April 27, with a non-refundable fee of INR 200 per question for processing, payable via various online methods. If the challenge is accepted by NTA, the fee is refunded.
To download the answer keys, candidates have to log in with their application number and password. Also, NTA has released shift-wise JEE Mains paper 1 question papers for session 2.
The final JEE Mains answer key, released after reviewing the objections submitted by the candidates, is used to calculate the result/score of the candidates.

JEE Main Application Form Date 2026
NTA has closed the JEE Main 2026 registration session 2. Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria can apply for JEE Main 2026 by the application deadline. They must upload a live photo, a scanned passport-sized photo, and their signature. OBC-NCL/EWS/SC/ST candidates need to include details of their certificate authority and date, while PwD/PwBD candidates must upload their category certificates. The application fees are INR 1000 for general, INR 800 for OBC, and INR 500 for SC candidates.

NTA has closed the JEE Mains form correction facility. The JEE Main form correction opportunity is available to all candidates who have applied as fresh candidates for JEE Mains 2026 Session 2, as well as to those who had applied for JEE Mains 2026 Session 1 and registered for Session 2.
When the form correction link is activated, all the registered candidates have to visit jeemain.nta.nic.in and verify their particulars. They are further advised to make any required corrections to their particulars in their respective application forms.

NTA has clarified via the FAQs that, even if there is a clash with other state or national level entrance exams, the JEE Main 2026 exam date will not be changed.

National Testing Agency NTA has released the syllabus of JEE Main 2026 on the official website. Students can download the current JEE Main syllabus PDF from Shiksha page or from the JEE Main official page to start their preparation. It is advised that students prepare for the exam strictly as per the syllabus and do not leave any topic to prepare for the exam.
