IIIT Bhopal admission is primarily entrance-based. The candidates are selected through national-level examinations conducted by different authorities. IIIT Bhopal offers UG and PG programmes through 3 departments. The Institute is known to have BTech with specialisations such as CSE, ECE, IT, CSE (Artificial Intelligence), CSE (Cyber Physical System) and CSE (Cyber Security).
Apart from this, the Institute offers MTech in AI, Data Science and Cyber Physical System in full-time mode or part-time or professional. Besides these, the Institute offers MCA as a 3-year full-time programme.

IIIT Bhopal offers various UG and PG level programmes with the fee structure consisting of tuition fees, hostel fees and various other miscellaneous fees. IIIT Bhopal BTech fee structure comprises of a tuition fees of INR 8.64 Lakh for the duration of 4 year. Apart from this, the course involves hostel fees and one-time payments which in total costs a BTech course of INR 12.50 Lakh. Similarly, programmes such as MTech costs the tuition fees of INR 4.1 Lakh- INR 4.4 Lakh. Furthermore, a programme such as MCA is offered at the tuition fees of INR 6.6 Lakh.
The application fee for the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Bhopal is INR 650. There are no separate application fees for Indian Institute of Information Technology Bhopal admissions though students must pay a registration fee of INR 1890 every year after admissions. Students must also pay the required entrance exam's own separate registration fees to the conducting body.
