IGNOU is a top-rated open university with good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: After the completion of the course, one can apply M.A. in BSW, after that, an individual can apply for counseling or can work in an NGO. With this course, you can apply to NGOs for placements. Many students got jobs in NGOs.
Infrastructure: It doesn't provide a hostel because it is an open university. Students do the course from distance. The facilities are good in IGNOU. They have a regional center and a study center. They have classrooms in the study center that are allotted to you. All the classes take place on Saturday and Sunday.
Faculty: The passing marks are 37 out of 100. Exams are average. Sometimes difficult. The course curriculum is relevant, and all the teachers are helpful, well qualified, and knowledgeable too. I would recommend joining this college.
Other: I chose this course because I want to go into the field of NGO or counseling.

I am absolutely dissatisfied with the classes. If they conduct more classes, then it is really good.
Placements: Many students were pursuing my course, i.e., BSW, because we really want to do something good for our society or community. It is the best course if you want to become a social worker. After completing this course, you can open your own NGO, or you can work in an NGO. If you're a really good student, you can join the WHO also.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and the facilities are average here. If you want to study in IGNOU, you don't need to stay in the hostel because they provide classes in your nearby colleges. You can study at this university all over Asia. The quality of food served by the university canteen is really good, but if you're a sports person, then this university is not for you.
Faculty: The teachers here are helpful, and they even share their contact numbers with students. So, when students face some problem in that course, they can ask sir or MA'am about it. Teachers solve your problems in minutes. If you are an academically good student, then you can get good marks in semester exams here compared to other universities. They prepare exam papers really easy for students.
Other: I chose this course because I want to be a social worker and do something for my society or community. Our college provides Saturday and Sunday classes to students. I wish our college should start conducting more classes so that students will clearly know everything about their course.

I am completely satisfied with IGNOU.
Placements: I don't know much about placements as I haven't completed my course yet. However, I have seen our seniors getting placed in well-known companies with good starting salary packages. So, IGNOU provides plenty of opportunities to its students. I can rate placements with 8 stars out of 10 stars.
Infrastructure: IGNOU is an open university, so there is no specific campus for IGNOU. Students have to choose their centre on their own, so if you're going to attend weekend classes, choose your study centre wisely because the crowd and everything are different at every place. IGNOU infrastructure is somewhat average.
Faculty: In terms of the study, IGNOU doesn't make any mistakes. The study materials are pretty good, and assignments and exams are also not much tough. Teachers here are helpful, but some teachers often don't conduct classes regularly. So, you've to study all on your own regularly to get good grades.
Other: The crowd is average here, and students from different backgrounds join IGNOU to study. As IGNOU is a huge open university, the campus is average. IGNOU doesn't really plan a fest or something, but it organises different events for different fields for their students to help them explore and try new things.

This is an open university so there is no job security provided by college.
Placements: It is a good University for part-time learners. But there is no placement support. Neither internships are provided. This is an open university so there is no job security provided by college and students are aware of the same while joining the college. But in some courses like BLIS, MBA & in many management courses placements are provided but that is not good profiles. In BSW there is no placement but a good college for graduation for UPSC Candidate.
Infrastructure: The Infrastructure of IGNOU college is good. But IGNOU provides classes in study centres. JMI is my study centre which is very large & clean premises. There are 2 cafeteria & water facility is good. The classroom is well structured but the campus is not Wi-Fi enabled. There are no facilities for sports & other extracurricular activities because it is an open University and there are no medical facilities. Classes are held only on Sunday and there is no hostel facility in it.
Faculty: The faculty is very supportive and helpful. All the faculty members are very good and work hard to make the bright careers of their students. The course curriculum is good but some teachers are not good at teaching & sometimes they did not attend the classes. In our course BSW, there is fieldwork and the teachers provided regular visits as per our curriculum which is the best part of my course. But overall teachers are very good and well experienced.
Other: Administrative is the worst & study material is not provided on time which makes a lot of difficulty in assignment making. IGNOU is better from SOL because in INGNOU there are 30 marks for the assignment which everyone easily scored and paper is of 70 marks but in SOL the paper is of 100 marks so it is very difficult to solve 100 marks paper as compare to 70 marks paper.

Other: IGNOU provides many courses like MSW, B.Sc., B.A, M.A, B.Sc. (H) etc. I am pursuing B.S.W from there, which tells us how to provide professional assistance to people in need such as health care, community development, education, industry counselling, social defence, women welfare etc. Teachers of this college are very helpful and dedicated. If in case, you face any problem or do not understand something in your course, you can ask teachers directly anytime because they are totally devoted to you. There is no chance to regret your decision because this college helps in enhancing your knowledge with the help of social activities, cultural activities and so on. It is providing distance education with many interesting courses. College fees are lower than all other institutes.
