To secure admission in IGNOU, you will have to register online on the IGNOU admission portal.
- Admission to the majority of the programmes at IGNOU is granted based on the candidate's merit and score in the qualifying degree.
- However, the university also conducts an entrance test for certain courses. Those seeking admission in management courses will have to clear OPENMAT , an entrance test held twice a year.
- For securing admission to Bachelor of Education Programme, the applicant will have to get through a national level entrance exam.
- Also, to be considered eligible for admission in IGNOU, an applicant must have received at least 50% marks in the qualifying examination.

Indira Gandhi National Open University Scholarships
All applicants have to pay the full fee at the time of admission. However, IGNOU students from reserved categories (Physically Handicapped, Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Castes) are entitled to fee reimbursement from the governments of their states. Also, the university's students are eligible for the National Centre for Promotion of Employment of Disabled People (NCPEDP) scholarship scheme for postgraduate level programmes. You are not allowed to jump and bypass any grade or education level in the Indian Education System. The eligibility for taking admission in Masters course you must have a graduate degree so you first complete your graduation in commerce stream then do M.Com.
