IGNOU offers MSc Physics in the distance learning mode, which means that students can complete the theoretical coursework online or through self-study, but they may face challenges in accessing laboratory facilities. IGNOU conducts laboratory sessions in collaboration with partner institutions that offer laboratory facilities. During the MSc Physics programme, students are required to attend practical laboratory sessions that are held at selected regional centres of IGNOU and other partner institutions.
The practical sessions are conducted for a limited number of days and hours, usually on weekends or holidays. To attend laboratory sessions, students need to enrol themselves for the lab sessions by paying a separate fee for each lab course and selecting their preferred study centre. The study centres are selected based on their proximity to the student's location.
During the laboratory sessions, students will be provided with access to various lab equipment and tools required for conducting the experiments. Experienced lab instructors will guide the students through the experiments and assist when required. It is important to note that laboratory sessions are a crucial component of MSc Physics and students need to complete the lab sessions to fulfill the programme requirements. Therefore, it is recommended that students plan and schedule their laboratory sessions in advance to ensure they can attend them and complete the programme successfully.

Here's a summary of the feedback from students and alumni:
Pros:
* Good faculty members who are knowledgeable and supportive
* Relevant course curriculum that prepares students for the industry
* Availability of computer labs and libraries
* Opportunities for self-study and practice
* Access to Wi-Fi and other amenities on campus
Cons:
* Limited placement opportunities, especially for MCA students
* No regular classes or frequent interaction with faculty members
* Self-paced learning requires additional effort and motivation
* Some faculty members may prioritize research over teaching
* Limited availability of hostels and poor living conditions
Placement scenario:
* Campus placements are scarce, and few companies visit for recruitment
* Salary packages are relatively low, ranging from 1-3 LPA
* Students often rely on external coaching or self-learning to supplement their education
* Few students manage to secure internships or jobs despite completing their degree
Based on these points, while IGNOU offers a decent educational experience, the MCA programme faces limitations in terms of placement opportunities and employment prospects. Students pursuing this course should be prepared to invest extra time and effort in seeking alternative learning resources, networking, and building their professional portfolio to enhance their employability. Ultimately, whether MCA at IGNOU is a "good" choice depends on individual goals, preferences, and circumstances.

Based on the feedback from students and alumni, here's what can be said about IGNOU for PG Diploma:
* Teaching Quality: Some students felt that the teachers were helpful, knowledgeable, and cooperative, while others mentioned that they weren't perfect in their subject area and focused mainly on completing the syllabus within a short timeframe.
* Infrastructure: The infrastructure varies depending on the study center allocated to students. Some students praised the cleanliness and maintenance of the classrooms, while others reported that the facilities were average or lacking.
* Placement: IGNOU is an open university, and students shouldn't expect direct campus placements. Instead, the university facilitates job opportunities through messaging and emailing potential employers. While some students received job offers, the numbers seem to vary.
* Study Material and Assignments: The curriculum is reportedly challenging, with difficult assignments, but this prepares students for industry demands. Online resources and support are available, but students need to be proactive in seeking help.
* Career Prospects: With a PG Diploma from IGNOU, graduates can pursue careers in accounting, finance, business, and more. Salaries typically range from INR2 Lacs to INR5 Lacs per annum, depending on the role and organization.
* Advantages: IGNOU caters to working professionals and those with busy schedules, providing flexibility through online and offline modes of instruction. The university's vast network of study centers and collaborations with organizations facilitate job prospects.
In conclusion, while IGNOU has its strengths and weaknesses, it seems to offer a viable option for students seeking a PG Diploma in Commerce-related fields. By being aware of the university's limitations and focusing on developing industry-ready skills, students can maximize their chances of success after graduating.
Here's a summary of key takeaways:
* Focus on developing industry-ready skills through challenging coursework and assignments
* Leverage online resources and support for academic and professional growth
* Network with peers and professors to expand career opportunities
* Utilize the university's vast network of study centers and partnerships with organizations
* Prioritize flexibility and adaptability, given the online and offline nature of the program
