Eligible candidates need to appear for the Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Exam (JNUEE). All foreign nationals present in India will be required to appear in the JNUEE.

Admission is based on the rank in the JNUEE, performance in viva- voce and deprivation points awarded, if applicable. Separate merit lists will be prepared for each category i.e. candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, PH categories. For Foreign Nationals, admission is based on the rank in JNUEE or performance in academic (if applying through 'In-Absentia' category). Candidates already in India during entrance examination will not be considered for admission under in absentia category. Selection parameters and weightages: JNUEE Rank- 80% Viva-Voce- 20%
