UOU (Uttarakhand Open University) BCom Courses & Fees 2925: Eligibility & Selection

BSc admission in Uttarakhand Open University takes place through the merit secured in Class 12 exams. Candidates applying for admission into the programme will have to make sure they get a passing grade in Class 12 to be eligible for admission into the programme. Once the results of the exam are out candidates can apply for the programme through the institute website. Admission into the BSc programme takes through a selection process conducted by the institute. Thus, there is no direct admission into the programme.

Uttarakhand University recognises different state and central boards like CBSE, ICSE, BIEAP etc. for its BSc course. Candidates looking to get admission into the BSc programme at Uttarakhand Open University should enrol for either a state or central board of education available in their state and apply for admissions.

Candidates who have a state or centrally recognised board can easily get admission into Uttarakhand Open University provided they meet the eligibility criteria for BSc at the university. The eligibility criteria for BSc is a passing grade in Class 12 exam.

UOU offers courses in UG, PG, UG Diploma and Certificate levels for the duration ranging from 6 months to 4 years in full-time, distance and open learning. The University offers admission to various UG level courses on the basis of Class 12 qualification. Whereas, for PG level courses, candidates will be required to secure a valid score in graduation and secure valid entrance scores in accepted entrance exams. 

After the application process, candidates will be selected based on valid merit and entrance qualification scores. Post selection, candidates will receive counselling and for final admission a merit list will be released by the University. For final admission, candidates must pay the fees and confirm a seat.

UOU admission process is both entrance-based and merit-based. Some of the programmes, such as M.A., MSc and BSc admission is merit-based. However, B.Ed and MBA admission is based on a valid score in entrance examination. Interested candidates can fill out the application form in both online and offline modes.
