Yes, Uttarakhand Open University B.Ed admissions are entirely entrance-based. The university conducts an entrance-exam for the selection of eligible candidates for B.Ed courses. In order to get admission to B.Ed at UOU, candidates must qualify for UOU B.Ed entrance exam. The entrance exam contains objective-type questions around teaching aptitude and general knowledge. For Uttarakhand Open University B.Ed admissions, candidates must have scored a minimum of 50% aggregate either in a Bachelor's or master's degree in order to be eligible for the B.Ed course at Uttarakhand Open University. There is a five percent relaxation given for reserved category candidates. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD categories can obtain minimum of 45% aggregate in their last qualifying exam conducted at UG/ PG level. Uttarakhand Open University offers admission to a two-year MSc course. This course is taught through the School of Science and School of Computer Science & Information Technology. As studying in the open university, candidates can complete the course within a span of maximum six years at UOU. Candidates can choose to study among nine MSc specialisations, namely Botany, Chemistry, Physics, Zoology, etc. The most popular and expensive MSc courses at the university are MSc in Information Technology and MSc in Cyber Security. UOU admission process is both entrance-based and merit-based. Some of the programmes, such as M.A., MSc and BSc admission is merit-based.
