Yes, Uttarakhand Open University B.Ed admissions are entirely entrance-based. The university conducts an entrance-exam for the selection of eligible candidates for B.Ed courses. In order to get admission to B.Ed at UOU, candidates must qualify for UOU B.Ed entrance exam. The entrance exam contains objective-type questions around teaching aptitude and general knowledge. It's mandatory for every aspirant to qualify for this exam in order to get admission. In the last round, the entrance qualifiers are called for a counselling process, where the shortlisted candidates are allocated seats as per their rank/ scores. For Uttarakhand Open University B.Ed admissions, candidates must have scored a minimum of 50% aggregate either in a Bachelor's or master's degree in order to be eligible for the B.Ed course at Uttarakhand Open University. There is a five percent relaxation given for reserved category candidates. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD categories can obtain minimum of 45% aggregate in their last qualifying exam conducted at UG/ PG level. UOU Applications are invited for admission two times a year: Summer Session and Winter Session. Admission applications for one session are not valid for the other session. The university has not released the official placement report for the year 2023. However, as per placement report 2021, a total of 38 Diploma in Hotel Administration students were placed during UOU placement 2021. Students were placed in top companies such as Grand Hyatt Kochi, The Leela Group of Hotels and among others during placement 2021.

The total fee for Uttarakhand Open University B.Ed course ranges between INR 32,400 - INR 60,500 for both the years. This fee contains the fee for both B.Ed ODL and B.Ed in Special Education courses.
