IIT Kanpur JAM Cutoff 2024 has been released for Round 2. The most competitive course was M.Sc in Statistics, with the Cutoff of 63. For the OBC AI category candidates, the Cutoff stood at 187, for M.Sc in Statistics.
If the Cutoff rank is more than 63, there is no scope of admission to IITs for M.Sc in Statistics.
IIT Kanpur MBA total tuition fee ranges between INR 2.8 Lacs and INR 13.1 Lacs as per an unofficial source. The fee excludes admission fee, security deposits, semester fee and hostel charges. There is relaxation in fee for reserved category students. Candidates need to pay fee after completion of the selection rounds, to confirm their seat.

The closing rank of round one for the IIT Kanpur BSc Economics course for the year 2023 through the JEE Advanced was 3,242 while on another hand the closing rank of last round for the BSc Economics course was 3,653.
The cutoff trend for BTech at IIT Kanpur has been decreasing in the recent years. In 2022, the closing rank for BTech under General category for all India quota was 4649. In 2023, it decreased to 4344. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 2034 to 2208 for OBC, 1281 to 1139 for SC, 678 to 706 for ST, 762 to 758 for EWS. This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for engineering education in India continues to grow. Similar cut off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories however the ranks are slightly different.
JoSAA 2025 counselling choice filling last date is June 12. Note that, once the JoSAA choice filling window closes candidates will not be allowed to edit the choice list. This means candidates will not be able to change the order of the selected choices or add any more course in or delete any course from the choice list after the deadline for choice filling.
A valid GATE score is required for admission to the M.Tech programme in the case of regular (non-sponsored) candidates. The requirement of GATE score is waived off for the candidates with MBBS degree as well as for the BTech graduates from IITs with a minimum overall CPI of 6.5 and a minimum CPI of 8.0 in the last two years in BTech. Additionally, A bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science (four-year programme) or a master's degree in Science with marks/ CPI not below the specified minimum is required for M.Tech admission.

NTA announced JEE Main 2024 dates. NTA coducted the JEE Main 2024 exam in two sessions. Admission to the BTech programme at IIT Kanpur is entrance exam-based, i.e., based on JEE Main followed by JEE Advanced scores. Candidates seeking admission to BTech can not get admission to IIT Kanpur with only the scores of JEE Main. JEE Advanced followed by JoSAA counselling is the final selection criteria followed by the institute. To get a seat in IIT Kanpur for BTech/BSc/BS admission, candidates must qualify JEE Advanced. The IIT Kanpur JEE Advanced Cutoff 2024 was released branch-wise and category-wise. Among the General AI category candidates, the Cutoff ranks for different courses closed at a range of 252 and 10058. The most competitive course among the General AI quota candidates was BTech in CSE. Among the OBC AI category candidates, the cutoff ranks closed at a range of 132 and 4766.
IIT Kanpur offers numerous undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral courses, including BTech, BSc, MTech, MSc, MBA, MDes, MSc+PhD, MS by Research, and PhD. The cutoff trend for B.Tech at IIT Kanpur has been decreasing in the recent years. In 2022, the closing rank for B.Tech. under general category for all India quota was 1368. In 2023, it decreased to 1349. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 696 to 788 for OBC, 410 to 581 for SC, 269 to 202 for ST, 287 to 279 for EWS, 109 to 169 for PWD. This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for engineering education in India continues to grow. CAT 2023 exam date is November 26. The CAT 2023 registration has started from August 2 and the last date to apply for CAT is September 13, 2023. Yes, you can get in without an Andhra Pradesh EAMCET rank under the Management Quota (Category B). This means that you can get in based on your 10+2 exam scores (at least 50% in PCM) or other accepted qualifications. This is true for about 30% of the seats. Yes, you can. If you didn't take MHT CET, no worries — your JEE Main or even ICAR AIEEA score can help you out too. Just be sure to apply through the DTE Maharashtra CAP counselling process. You need the eligibility and a score in either of these exams.
