The modes of IIT Kharagpur admission are online and offline. Admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses is based on merit and scores of entrance tests. At the undergraduate level, IITKGP offers four and five-year B.Tech, B.Sc. Five-year B.Arch and various other courses to students. At the postgraduate level, the IIT Kharagpur offers two and six-year M.Tech, M.Sc. And various other courses to students. Kharagpur IIT also provides Ph.D. and Continuing Education courses to students.

At the undergraduate level, IITKGP offers four and five-year BTech, BSc. Five-year BArch and various other courses to students. At the postgraduate level, the IIT Kharagpur offers two and six-year MTech, MSc And various other courses to students. IIT Kharagpur also provides PhD and Continuing Education courses to students. The answer is no. It is possible to get admission in any IIT with JEE Main score provided a student also qualifies the JEE Advanced exam. As per the official details of IIT Kharagpur admission, admission to IIT KGP fBTech programme is subject to a valid score in JEE Main and JEE Advanced followed by JoSAA Counselling. Additionally, students must have also completed their Class 12 with 75% aggregate (for the General category).

However, there are other courses offered at IIT Kharagpur which does not require a student to have a score in JEE Advanced, such as LLM, PhD and MBA. If the dream is just to study at IIT Kharagpur, students can also opt for other courses basis their current eligibility and course requirements.

IIT Kharagpur's Vinod Gupta School of Management offers a two-year MBA degree in seven specializations and one micro specialisation. The Vinod Gupta School of Management's (VGSOM) flagship MBA curriculum is a residential programme for recent engineering graduates and those who have earned master's degrees in Science, the field of economics or commerce. The MBA programme has developed into one of the best in the nation, fusing the IITs' strengths in technical education with contemporary management philosophy. IIT Kharagpur offers a four-year BSc course along with a five-year Integrated MSc course across six specialisations each.
