GATE Qualifying Marks 2026 OUT: Candidates appeared for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering can check GATE 2026 qualifying marks at gate2026.iitg.ac.in. IIT Guwahati has officially released qualifying cutoff, followed by scorecard, topper's and GATE result 2026. The result along with master question paper and answer key were released on March 19. IIT Guwahati has officially released GATE 2026 qualifying cutoff marks of all papers on March 28. This year, majority of papers have cutoff marks ranging from 25-35 marks for general category. With 10 lakh around candidate's registrations in GATE 2026 exam, students have performed exceptionally well. IIT Guwahati announced GATE result 2026 on March 19. Candidates can check with their enrollment ID and password a GOAPS. The scorecard was made available on March 27. Students who have secured minimum qualifying mark can participate in GATE counselling 2026. The COAP dates have been announced, and registrations are ongoing. The cutoff marks will vary for each category. The GATE exam 2026 was conducted on Feb 7, 8, 14, and 15 in two shifts.

The GATE passing mark is the minimum mark that a candidate must obtain to be eligible for the admission process. IIT Guwahati will announce GATE 2026 exam qualifying mark on its official website - gate2026.iitg.ac.in. Check important details regarding GATE eligibility marks -
- Only candidates who meet the minimum GATE qualifying 2026 marks will be eligible for further admission process. Students scoring below the cutoff will be marked as not qualified, irrespective of how close they are to the passing mark.
- The GATE exam cutoff score are different for all 30 subjects. Students must note that the cutoff varies depending on the difficulty level, number of candidate appeared, and past cutoff factors.
- The GATE passing marks will be released for three category types - General, OBC-NCL/EWS, and SC/ST/PwD. The cutoff marks for general category will be high compared to other two categories.
- With the help of these qualifying mark, students can also estimate their chances using GATE college predictor

GATE 2026 Qualifying Mark and Expected Rank Predictions: For IITs/NIT Admission and PSU Recruitment
Considering the last year, paper analysis so far from experts, here's what we can expect in GATE 2026 eligibility marks for IITs, NITs, and PSU recruitment -
- To get GATE AIR under 10, GATE score above 900 will be required, which can be roughly around 85 to 90 marks in GATE.
- For GATE AIR rank under 50, candidates need to secure at least 75 to 85 marks in GATE 2026 exam.
- For GATE AIR rank under 100, 70 to marks in GATE exam can be required.
- For top IIT admissions, starting GATE safe score can be around 700-800. However, for top branches/specialisations, a GATE score above 900 is required.
- For top NITs, safe GATE score can be around 650 - 750.
- For PSU recruitment through GATE, a score ranging from 700 -900+ (which is roughly around 75+ marks) will be required, depending on the popularity and academic performance as well.

How to check GATE Qualifying Marks 2026?
Candidates can check GATE qualification marks on official website. No credentials will be required to access the GATE 2026 elgibility marks. The authorities will activate the link on its homepage, and will be available for each subject along with number of candidates registered and appeared for the GATE paper.
GATE 2026 scorecard will be available for free download from March 27 to May 31. Later, it will be available till December 31, by paying a fee of INR 500 till December 31, 2026. Candidates can download it at GATE candidate login of GOAPS portal. Candidates who have qualified, will be eligible to download their GATE result scorecard 2026. The scorecard is valid for three years.

IISc Bangalore GATE cutoff 2026 for the ECE course for the General AI category was 650 in round 1. For the OBC AI category, the round 1 cutoff for the same course was 600. This difference in the score says that the competiton for the General AI category was higher than the OBC AI quota.
