For admission to the MBA at SJMSOM, the CAT test was conducted on November 30, 2025. Aspirants of SJMSOM are required to appear for the exam in Computer Based Testing mode at the allotted test centres. CAT exam 2025 is generally held in three slots:

• Morning slot: 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM
• Afternoon slot: 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM
• Evening slot: 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM

The extensive campus of IIT Bombay houses many advanced facilities for its students such as banks, a shopping centre, two excellent schools for children, a well-equipped hospital, hostels, modern libraries and more. No, it’s not compulsory for regular scholars to stay in the hostel for studying at IIT Bombay. Also, not every student gets a hostel facility. However, students who get enrolled in summer and winter internships have to stay in a hostel during the tenure of their internship. Interns who get the hostel are required to complete the formalities such as registration, payment of internship fees, etc., with the academic office of the institute.

IIT Bombay offers admission to MSc course based on IIT JAM score followed by CCMN Counselling. The seat allotment is carried out based on document verification, seat intake, and category of the students, during the counselling. Besides, candidates with a valid bachelor’s degree issued by a recognised university are eligible for admission to the PG course.

The institute offers Merit-cum-Means Scholarship to a maximum of 25% of the sanctioned intake of UG and MSc students. Facilities of Free Messing is also available to SC/ ST students under which they get an exemption from paying the tuition fees. The institute offers BS in three specialisations, including Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Admission to all the BS specialisations at IIT Bombay is entrance-based (JEE Main + JEE Advanced). The seat intake varies from one specialisation to another. Additionally, all the courses are of a four-year duration.
