Honest Review of IIT Bombay.
Placements: The Batch size of Metallurgical engineering and material Science department here is about 140-150 aprox every year. This course includes the study of materials and the development regarding this field. The average package of this branch goes about 16-17Lakh.
Infrastructure: The Infrastructure of almost every academic building in IIT Bombay is very good. Some of the new hostels (for M.Teach and Final year B.Teach) are very luxury. The Hostels for 2nd and 3rd year students are preety good and give a proper hostel feels. And freshers are also given very good hostels.
Faculty: The faculty here have a very strong grip on their domain. Some of them are Alumni of Same college and some of them are former CEO of some company. Exam pattern are on a relaxing side here, we have 2 major, and 2-3 minor per course in one semester.
Other: IIT Bombay is India's best engineering college in India, and holds a rank of 149 Globally. The college fest here is Asia's the biggest college level fest. You get many opportunities here to showcase your talent and get yourself developed.

Experience at IIT Bombay.
Placements: Placements in our IIT bombay are very good and almost 95% of students are placed every year in on-campus placements and remaining are placed. Top recruiting companies in IIT bombay are like amazon, flipkart, Brain & Co, McKinsey, strategy, etc. Top roles offered in these companies are consulting, teach and coding etc. Same companies also visit institute during internships and recruit students for interns and also give PPo to some students.
Infrastructure: The infra of course is satisfactory but the infra of parents hostel is not so good. But the freshie hostels are really so good. The facilities in classroom are really good. All classrooms have AC. The quality and taste of mess food is not good. Sometimes the meal is really so the worst such that we have to eat in canteens. And the medical and sports facilities are quite good here. We have game room and grounds for sports.
Faculty: The pros here at IIT bombay re really very good. Most of the pros have completed their studies from foreign universities and also taught for some years in foreign universities so pros here are very knowledgeable. The course curriculum here is moderate but sometimes it become so much hectic for us that we cant spare some extra time for extra curricular activities.
Other: I chose this course as I have interest in metallurgical and material Science engineering and IIT Bombay is the best engineering institute of india. Every year some great fests are organised here which includes MOOD INDIGO, TechFest which are asia's the largest fest. College also provides various scholarships to need students who cant afford the course feels here so that they can also study without any problem.

My 1.5 years in IIT BOMBAY.
Placements: Almost every student who desire to get placed, get the placement offer. Here the highest package in 2022 was about 4 crore and the lowest was around 8 Lacs per annum. Almost all the top recruiting companies visit here like high frequency trading companies which offer packages in crores. Almost everyone get internship from the college and average stipend per month is about 80000. Here who are hire get top managerial positions in the compony.
Infrastructure: Here overall infrastructure is very good, and you get all the facilites at higher class level. Their is only one problem in infrastructure some hostels are too old not in good condition, so to live in those hostels is horrible other than these old hostels, rest of the hostels which are newly constructed are like 5 star hotels. In hostel you get gym room, TV room, common room, etc.
Faculty: Here all the faculty members are very qualified as it is the one of the best Institute of India. Almost every faculty hold Ph.D. degree. And very much engaged in research and also enroll students in their research work so students also gets benefitted. Professors also having very good connections with the foreign colleges and big companies and they help in recommendation for further studies.

Most demanded engineering college in india.
Placements: The placement percentage of this course is quite good. Although there is a flaws, the average package for this course (core) is low compared to the expectations before coming to the college. There are a huge number of companies coming here, so that's not an issue. Also there is immense opportunities for internships as well. All this is managed by colleges own placement cell.
Infrastructure: The recently constructed buildings (including department and hostel buildings) are well-equipped with very fine amenities, although old buildings ***. They are too conjusted and also not really well maintained (some hostels). The mess food is not bad, and has many eateries outside hostel.
Faculty: The academic part is the one that is not to be seen. The faculty members here are really well qualified and yes the course makes you industry ready as most of the courses have practical labs. The semester exams are designed by professors. Most of the courses have nearly 30-40 percentage as the passing criterion.
Other: The main fests include MOOD INDIGO and TECHFEST, Asia's largest fests in their respective fields.

All About IIT BOMBAY - The Dream Of many JEE aspirants.
Placements: IIT BOMBAY has a great placement record with many packages over 1 crores +. But it doesn't have 100% placement due the fact that many students gets PPO from internships they do, some gets in with their startup, some go for higher studies like Ph.D. M.Teach, Research, etc. Some also do MBA, UPSC after graduation.
Infrastructure: The quality of facilities that we get here are amazing, ranging from infrastructure of courses includes Wi-Fi, amazing and comfortable benches, smartboard, AC, etc. Also the hostel infrastructure is also amazing, it has everything you would require as a student. The quality of mess food is also pretty good with decent balanced diet.
Faculty: The teachers here are extremely qualified and knowledgeable. They are mostly research, Ph.D. pros with plenty of detailed knowledge about the course they teach. The teaching quality is also pretty amazing with presentation, ppts, one to one interaction, doubt clearance. The course curriculum is very much industry and application oriented. Though the exams are difficult to pass, but you can score pretty well if you are a regular learner.
Other: I chose this course I have a deep interest in Chemical, Chemistry Physics from my JEE days. The best things are labs & industry visits. I think the core courses are very much, so maybe they can be decreased. You probably SEE 1-2 events happening everyday in this institute with major fest happening in Dec - Month. Many big celebrities come here frequently. The connectivity is quite awesome with joined to the main Mumbai. The campus and surroundings have 2 lakes, 1 hill and lush green. There are too much extra curricular activities to explore. Scholarship are easily found.

Candidates enrolled in a PhD programme have to complete a one-year coursework. Following this, candidates in the full-time course have to complete it in 3-4 years. Other candidates can take a little longer to complete the course.
