IIT Bombay UG & PG Courses & Fees 2024

For admission to MBA 2024 batch at SJMSOM, the CAT test will be conducted on November 26, 2023. Aspirants of SJMSOM are required to appear for the exam in Computer Based Testing mode at the allotted test centres. CAT exam 2023 will be held in three slots:

Morning slot: 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM

Afternoon slot: 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM

Evening slot: 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM

Earlier, the CAT exam used to be of 180 minutes with 100 questions but in 2020, both exam duration and number of questions were reduced due to COVID-19 pandemic. Now, starting CAT 2022, the total number of questions stands at 66 as part of CAT pattern.

NTA will release the JEE Main application form 2025 tentatively in November. The exact JEE Main 2025 registration date will be notified soon. JEE Main 2025 application form will be available online on the website jeemain.nta.ac.in. As the JEE Mains 2025 exam will be conducted in two sessions, NTA will release separate application forms for both January and April session. 

BTech is the flagship course of IIT Bombay. It is a four-year full-time course offered at the UG level. NIRF ranked IIT Bombay at 3 under the 'Engineering' category. Talking about placement, the highest international and domestic package offered during IIT Bombay placements 2023 stood at INR 3.67 crore per annum and INR 1.68 crore per annum, respectively. Further, the average package offered during IIT Bombay placements 2023 stood at INR 21.82 LPA. 

For 2022, cut off was 61 for General category candidates in All India quota for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering in IIT Bombay - Indian Institute of Technology. For female candidates in general category under All India quota, 305 was the closing rank. B.Tech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

• Candidates are required to pass a bachelor’s degree or a master’s degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% aggregate in case of SC/ ST/ PwD candidates) or a minimum CPI of 6.5 (6 in case of candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ PWD category) out of 10 or applicants appearing for the final year of degree or completed the degree and awaiting result can also apply or,
• Aspirants appearing for final year of the degree and those who have completed the degree requirements and awaiting results can also apply. The applicant should have secured an aggregate of 60% aggregate (55% aggregate in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD category) or equivalent till the latest exam that has been completed and whose scores are available or,
• CA, CS, CFA, ICWA or FRM, with a first-class bachelor’s degree in any discipline having secured 60% aggregate (55% aggregate in case of candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ PWD category) in aggregate (including all years /semesters) or a minimum CPI of 6.5 (6 in case of candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ PWD category) out of 10 can also apply for MBA programme.

IIT Bombay fee is cumulative of various components, in which, some are one-time paid while others are paid semester-wise. The components included in the fee structure are tuition fee, caution deposit, hostel and mess charges. Students after counselling need to pay the course fee amount for seat confirmation.

The IIT Bombay BTech tuition fee ranges between INR 8 lakh and INR 20 lakh. Additionally, the caution deposit is INR 14,900. The hostel fee without mess is INR 99,600 and with mess is INR 1.81 lakh. The total tuition fees for BTech ranges from INR 8 lakh to INR 20 lakh (inclusive of the integrated BTech-MTech fee). Yes, IIT Bombay offers a four-year BTech in eight specialisations. Admission to these programmes is based on merit in JEE Advanced. Only the students who pass JEE main can take the advanced exam. The aspirants who furher meet the cutoff criteria can participate in JoSAA counselling.

The total seat intake for MA by Research is 20. This seat intake is as per the 2022-2023 sanctioned strength. Additionally, the seats are reserved for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS)/Other Backward Class Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL)/Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwD).

IIT Bombay JEE Advanced Cutoff 2024 was released in the form of opening and closing cutoff ranks. Normally, the number of seats is directly proportionate to the Cutoff ranks. Also, it is observed that as the number of applicants increase, the Cutoff rank also increases. IIT Bomby 2024 Cutoff showed that, the number of seats increased in comparison to the last year in a few courses, and increased in a few courses. It also indicates that the competition has been declining in a few courses, while improving in a few. NIT Manipur JEE Main cutoff 2024 has been released for admission to the BTech courses. Duirng the Round 1 cutoff, the closing rank for CSE was 25886 for the General category students under the AII India Quota. Among OBC candidates, the closing rank for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering stood at 8750. There a total of 37 seats available in BDes course at IIT Bombay. The seats are filled based on UCEED score. As there are only a few seats, candidates must obtain a good rank in UCEED for admission. Below is category-wise intake for BDes:

The total tuition fee for IIT Bombay BDes courses ranges from INR 8 Lacs to INR 11.6 lakh. This range includes fees for the integrated course as well. Apart from the programme fee, aspirants need to pay a counselling registration fee of INR 4,000. An application fee is also paid in the start. Candidates wishing to get into BTech course of IIT Bombay have to qualify for JEE Main followed by JEE Advanced. The selected candidates based on JEE score are allotted seat through JoSAA Counselling. Candidates who have completed Class 12 with a minimum of 75% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are eligible to apply for JEE Main. BTech course aspirants have to apply through JEE Main by filling out an application form through the National Testing Agency (NTA) official website (nta.ac.in). The application fee for boys is INR 1,000 and INR 800 for girls (general/gen-EWS/OBC (NCL) category). Followed by JEE Main, students have to register for JEE Advanced. For this, candidates have to first login with their JEE Main 2023 application number and password.
