Q:   Is it worth pursuing BTech at LPU?
4thumbs up
A:

Yes, BTech at LPU is worth pursuing if you are interested in CSE courses and are willing to pay the fee. LPU was ranked at 50 under the 'Engineering' category. The university provides an industry-focused enviornment. The university actively conducts huge placement drives and helps students to upskill themselves. CSE, IT, and AI & Machine Learning courses often see an overall good placement report with top 50% students getting an average package of INR 10.21 lakh. Scholarships are also given to students through LPUNEST and hence, if you secure one, the ROI becomes a good attraction. However, lower branches may not perform as well even with a similar fee structure. Students can check reviews on Shiksha and decide for themselves.

Q:   Will I get a direct admission in LPU with 65 % marks in Class 12?
A:

LPU does not offer direct admission. However, admission to few courses is merit-based.  Aspirants scoring a 65% aggregate have a good chance of getting admission in LPU. Candidates seeking admission must visit the official website of the university to apply online. To apply for LPU, aspirants need to register for LPUNEST for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses. LPU admission to most of the courses is based on LPUNEST score. However, national-level entrance exam scores are also accepted for admission to BA LLB (Hons), MBA, BTech, etc. Candidates must complete Class 12 for UG courses and graduation for PG courses. The selection rounds are followed by counselling and document verification.

Q:   What is the selection criteria for LPU PhD?
A:

LPU selects candidates for PhD course based on LPUNEST PhD score. The university will also consider the academic performance of the candidates for final selection. Below is the weightage of selection parameter for PhD:

Good campus life with decent placements and infrastructure.
Placements: Placements in the CSE department are decent if students maintain good coding skills and communication. Around 60-70% of eligible students from our batch will get placed. The average package offered this year to our seniors is around 5-6 LPA, which is just decent for entering the industry.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for the CSE department is quite good. Classrooms are good with projectors and Wi-Fi facilities, and computer labs have updated systems. We got some IMAC labs. The central library is large and provides plenty of resources for students. The mess food quality is average but manageable, sometimes good/sometimes average.
Faculty: Most faculty members are helpful, qualified, and supportive, especially in technical subjects. The teaching quality depends on the professor, but overall, it's okay. You will have to study on your own as well, the teacher can't do much either.
Other: As a current student graduating in 2028, I feel the college provides many opportunities for students who are willing to work hard and improve their skills. Participation in coding contests, hackathons, and extracurricular activities can help students make the most out of their college life.

Great campus, good college life.
Placements: Good placement, better than other private colleges. Regular updates are provided for placements, proper guidance is given for placement and placement preparation classes are organised as a part of our curriculum, and many companies visit our campus for placement drives and hire students.
Infrastructure: Great infrastructure, very big campus spread across 700 acres. Everything is inside the university, there is a Unimall hospital ( university hospital), a robo park playground with all types of sports, an indoor sports swimming pool, a departmental store inside the hostel and many more.
Faculty: The curriculum is great and is taught in a great way. Faculty members are cooperative and friendly. There are weekly examinations conducted so that students can understand their weak zones. Doubt-clearing classes are conducted weekly or once every two weeks to clarify the doubts.
Other: Crowded campus, but great college life, enjoyable fest and event.

Overall, the college is very nice.
Placements: My senior batch of 2022 to 2026 got placed in very reputable companies such as Annexure, Accenture, Amazon, etc. There are a lot of options for non-placed candidates. So, there are a lot of opportunities, and college individuals also help them.
Infrastructure: Hostels are so clean and well-maintained. The infrastructure is so nice with spacious rooms. The hostel food is hygienic and tasty, you can go for it. We have 6 hostels for girls and 3 for boys. Studios are nice, and the mess staff is also good.
Faculty: Faculty members of our college are so cooperative and well-behaved. They are very moral and very supportive in nature. Teachers encourage us to take part in every possible field. They boost our confidence by encouraging us to participate in summer internship programmes, etc.
Other: My batch is of 2025- 2029, and I'm a first-year B.Tech student. Our college fests are so enjoyable, and they arrange these every other day. So there is a lot to explore, and there are a lot of opportunities ahead.

It has a good infrastructure and good teachers.
Placements: Almost every student got placed here. The highest package here is 3 crores. The top recruiting companies are Microsoft, Accenture, Google, MongoDB, Infosys, and many more. I'm a first-year student, so I don't know any internships or the roles offered by the company.
Infrastructure: There is Wi-Fi everywhere in the college. Every block of college has two Wi-Fi networks, one is wireless, and the other is a wired network. There is a central library and a small library in each block. The hostel facility is good, and the food here is good. Every hostel has a grocery store, a barber shop, a laundry facility and 24/7 hospital facilities.
Faculty: There are 2 semesters, 2 mid-term and 2 end-term exams in a year, and there are assignments and CA happening every 2 to 3 weeks, which are included in the last CGPA. Teachers in this college are mostly PhD holders, and they teach very nicely. The pass percentage is 90 to 95 percent.
Other: Many fests are happening in this college, and many extracurricular activities are available.

LP University offers good placements, facilities, active campus life, but hectic academics.
Placements: LPU shows its placement rate 100%, but it's now fully true that LPU has a good opportunity of placement. The average package for the UG law programme varies between 8 and 11 LPA. Some companies, like Dhir & Dhir Associates, Areness Attorneys, Thomson Reuters, Tech Mahindra, Trident Group, recruit. You can join these companies as corporate lawyers.
Infrastructure: Hostel infrastructure is good, and Wi-Fi speed is decent. The campus has strict rules and regulations. Mess food campus follows a strict vegetarian policy, non-veg is not given in every mess, and the mess quality is also decent. The department has all the facilities, library, labs and hospital.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and qualified. The majority of teachers are excellent. As I'm doing a B.A. LL.B., the curriculum is very much relevant. A semester will not give time, it's hectic, 2-3 CA's per subject, assignments, mid-term, end-term, this all happens in one semester, exams are not that difficult.
Other: LPU has an NIRF 18th rank in law, and it's true. LPU gives you a wide range of opportunities. I can say it's better than tier 2-3 NLU, it organised a National level moot court competition, ADR LPU provides a wide range of extracurricular activities like sports, start-ups, social media and LPU events are the best, it daily has some fest going on, lots of celebrities come daily.

One of the Best Private Colleges.
Placements: The placement scenario for my batch was decent, with around 60-70% of students getting placed throughout the campus drive. The highest package was around 10-20 LPA, with an average of 7 LPA. Top companies include HCL, Amazon, Microsoft, Wipro, Apple, and many more.
Infrastructure: Everything is good about the campus, including Wi-Fi facilities. Transportation is easy since golf carts and cycles are available everywhere. Classes are fully air-conditioned. There are many labs and sports facilities, including a sports complex with an indoor stadium.
Faculty: In the examination hall, teachers are very cooperative with students. Everything is handled easily, and the environment is strict. There’s a no-cheating guarantee, and silence is maintained in the classroom. All teachers are very helpful. All thanks to Lovely Professional University.
Other: Many events happen on this campus.
