Really good faculties but dissatisfied with 2019 placements.

Placements: Most of the students got placements. The course B.Sc. hotel management is a very good course. The Taj, the Oberoi, Hayat, and Intercontinental—these companies come for placements. Executive levels can also be offered by company but for only those who are really passionate about their work.

Infrastructure: WIFI is available, classrooms are good and libraries are there for 24/7. The central library and departmental libraries are also here. Nice hostels and kind of home food are provided by mess and canteen on the campus. Playgrounds are also there and many types of events are happening every week and every day.

Faculty: Teachers are so helpful; they will always coordinate with you, even if you're having some personal life issue or something finance-related. It totally helps to make us industry-ready by practical classes and every theory classes. We get all the experience here.

Other: This course is the best for those who want to travel all around the world.

This is an average college.

Placements: The placements in LPU can be justified as average, with the average package of 100,000 per annum and the criteria to be eligible for it. The criteria to be eligible for placements are as follows: no standing reappears or backlogs, and an average CGPA of 6. The companies coming to my branch are good.

Infrastructure: LPU is famous for its infrastructure and has a very big and lush green campus, fully equipped with Wi-Fi, security, and cameras. However, the disappointing fact is about the hostel and its facilities. The hostel rooms are not at all satisfactory, and the maintenance is also average.

Faculty: The examination pattern in this university is very stressful for students and very hectic, with around 6-7 rounds of examinations held every semester. The curriculum is satisfactory, but in the field of mechanical engineering, one needs to have a good grasp of practical knowledge rather than just bookish knowledge.

My review of LPU that highlights the pros and cons.

Placements: I'm currently in the 2nd year, so I don't have enough knowledge about the placements. If you are from CSE or IT, you will be hired by mass recruiters like Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, and similar companies. If you are from ECE, you can work in the IT industry. No core electronics company is likely to hire; maybe 40-50 out of 1000 will get into an electronics company, while the rest will work in IT. So if you are happy with getting a job in any IT company in India, earning 3.5 Lacs yearly, and are ready to put minimal to no effort during your college, you can go. You will have a lot of fun. But this is the story of almost all colleges in India, barring a few. Please note that this is the scenario of 2015.

Infrastructure: The library's infrastructure is great, but the rest of the blocks are okay. The Wi-Fi is acceptable. The food taste is average. There are plenty of facilities for sports. We pay around 80k per year for the hostel, but the facilities provided are not worth the money.

Faculty: Most of the teachers aren't that great. The course curriculum is relevant. The exams are easy to moderate, but sometimes hard. Some students are selected for industry mentor classes where they are taught by industry experts in 'online mode'. These teachers, particularly, are great at teaching.

Other: I'm interested in this course. I wish they removed unwanted subjects. The campus crowd is terrible; it is very overpopulated. We have around 10k students in B.Tech CSE 1st year alone!

Placements: The placements in our college are good. They make sure that everyone capable of the drive gets placed. When I talk about the infrastructure of the college, it’s very nice. It is exactly what I expected from this college, and the facilities are good.

Infrastructure: The facilities in our class are very nice. There is Wi-Fi available on every floor, and projectors are provided for every class. When it comes to labs, there are many types of equipment for various labs. In the library, there are many books available for various courses.

Faculty: The teachers are very helpful to everyone. They are highly qualified and have a lot of experience. The curriculum is relevant and makes the students industry-ready. The semester exams are a bit tough; the pass percentage is 30 percent, and many students face problems in math and practicals.

Other: The events and fests are well-organised by the clubs in our college. There are many sports and extracurricular activities provided.

Good infrastructure and good faculty of LPU.

Placements: The percent of students placed varies every year, but I would say that about 60–70% of students are placed every year. The highest package was 50 lacs per annum and the lowest was 2.5 lacs per annum. Top recruiting company is TCS. Top roles that are offered are for web developers.

Infrastructure: In infrastructure, we have Wi-Fi, which has a limit of 40 GB per week; in the classroom, we have a projector; we have a central library as well as libraries for the particular school. In hostels, the food is good, and the canteen food is okay. We have hospital in our campus, the checkup and doctor fee are of free of charge; we only have to pay for medicine.

Faculty: The faculty here is very helpful; they guide you if you face problems in anything; they'll guide you through your capstone project; the course here is designed in a way that'll be helpful for us in an industrial way; the semester exams are in a moderate way, not hard and not easy.

Other: I chose this course because CS engineers are in very demand and work the rise of their industry. The thing about this course is that I don't want any changes to be made. LPU organizes events every now and then. Just few weeks ago, we had Paradox here.
