Bachelor of Business Administration - Batch of 2027
Offered by Government College of Commerce and Business Administration
4.2
4Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Good value for money with supportive faculty, decent placements, and active campus life.
Placements: I am part of the BBA 2020-2023 batch at GCCBA, Chandigarh. Around 25-30% of students from our course are placed. The highest package offered is 6 LPA, the lowest is 2 LPA, and the average package is approximately 3.5 LPA. Some of the top recruiting companies include Deloitte, Wipro, Infosys, Genpact, and HDFC Bank. Around 40% of students secure internships during the course, mainly in companies like HDFC, Kotak Mahindra, startups, and a few NGOs. The top roles offered to BBA students are Business Development Executive, HR Associate, Marketing Analyst, and Customer Service Executive.
Infrastructure: GCCBA Chandigarh offers decent infrastructure for BBA students. Classrooms are clean and equipped with projectors for smart learning. The college provides Wi-Fi access, a well-maintained computer lab, and a good library with relevant academic resources. However, the campus does not have hostel facilities. The canteen serves affordable and hygienic food, though the menu is basic. The medical facilities are limited to first aid, but there are nearby dispensaries for emergencies. Sports facilities are available, including a playground and indoor games, and the college encourages participation in inter-college sports events.
Faculty: Teachers at GCCBA are generally helpful, well-qualified, and have good subject knowledge. They are approachable and supportive, especially during exam time. The teaching quality is mostly theoretical but clear and well-structured. The BBA curriculum is relevant and covers core business subjects, but it could benefit from more practical exposure and industry-oriented projects to make students fully industry-ready. The semester exams are moderately difficult and manageable with consistent study. The pass percentage is high, around 85-90%, so most students clear exams without much difficulty.
Other: I am part of the BBA batch from 2020-2023. I chose this course because I want to build a strong foundation in business and management, and GCCBA offers a reputable and affordable option. The best aspects of the course are its well-structured syllabus, qualified faculty, and focus on core business areas like marketing, HR, and finance. However, the course could be improved by adding more practical learning, industry interaction, and internship opportunities.

Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) - Batch of 2019

The college has good infrastructure.
Placements: 70% of students got placed. They offered the highest package. The lowest and average package offered is 2 LPA - 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, HCL, and IBM. Top roles available are content writers, customer service executives, teaching assistants, research assistants, and administrative assistants.
Infrastructure: Panjab University has Wi-Fi, good classrooms, labs, and a big library. Hostels are clean with Wi-Fi and good food. Medical help is available on campus. There are big sports grounds and courts. Overall, it is a good place to study and live. Overall experience was good.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and teach well. The B.A. course is good but needs more industry focus. Semester exams are moderate if you study. Pass percentage is high, around 85-90%. Overall, it is a good experience. I would recommend it for everyone.
Other: Overall, all good.

B.A. in Political Science - Batch of 2025
Offered by Post Graduate Government College
2.6
2Placements3Infrastructure3Faculty2Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
It's a good college for studies. Campus is good. But placements are not worth it.
Placements: Only some students got placed in the B.A. course. The companies are not verified by the college, and you have to do everything at your own risk. The average package of placement was very low, around 2–3 LPA. I am very grateful for my own placement in this course.
Infrastructure: The rooms of the girls hostel are average-looking. The average size, not many facilities, no Wi-Fi, and the and the library are pretty good, though. The quality of the food is worth the money. The canteen is nearby and provides tasty food that is mostly clean. Medical facilities are provided.
Faculty: The teaching quality is pretty average. Some teachers are very knowledgeable and have a unique teaching style; they care about students, whereas some teachers do not care about students and are rude. They don't even complete the syllabus before exams.

Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) - Batch of 2025
Offered by MCM DAV College for Women
3.6
3Placements3Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
It’s a basic women’s college, but you can enjoy it if you make friends. The campus is peaceful.
Placements: I am still a student, but I am pretty sure that only a few people will get placed after selecting my course, as it requires post-graduation. However, students get internships, and the placement cell comes to the college frequently. Companies come to the college for interviews and select students.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in the library. Although it's a pretty basic college, it's very peaceful inside, and there are a lot of places to just sit and relax. The library is good, but during peak hours, it's usually full since it has AC. Some of the classrooms also have AC. I am a day scholar, but I have heard that some hostel rooms are okay-ish while some blocks are good. The hostel timings are pretty early, around 6 or 7 PM, as you'll need to be inside the campus by then, but this is for safety reasons.
Faculty: Faculty for B.A. in the college is really nice. Teachers are well and cooperative. You just need to attend your classes regularly to learn more. The B.A. faculty is especially famous in the city. Semester exams are pretty average, and you can pass them easily if you study well, even scoring high.
Other: It’s just that it gets a little boring since it’s a girls' college, but if you involve yourself in enough things, I’m sure it will be fun. It’s very peaceful, and there’s rarely any drama in the college, so if you like that, you can join. If you want to enjoy college life properly, you have to go and join in communities and be an active member. That’s how you’ll make friends and enjoy. Hope you find this helpful.

B.Voc. in Food Science and Technology - Batch of 2028
Offered by DAV College, Chandigarh
3.4
3Placements4Infrastructure5Faculty2Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
All things are good in DAV College except for some conveniences in their bathrooms.
Placements: More than 50% of 12th-grade students get placed in DAV Chandigarh. The highest package depends on the company's joining, but generally, it ranges from a minimum of Rs.15,000 to Rs.20,000 per month, with the highest being Rs.50,000 to Rs.80,000 per month. Verka, Amul, and other food processing organizations. Around 5-10% of students got internships in food processing companies such as Amul, Verka, Maggi, Britannia, and many others. Roles offered include food management official, food survey official, food-making chiefs, and others related to food.
Infrastructure: All the requirements are fulfilled by the college related to Food Science and technology. The things we need to require to do experiments. Sports and games are average. There is not any big push from the authorities towards games. But the hostel and food served in it is good as well as with good hygiene canteen.
Faculty: Teachers are so good with teaching skills and explain everything clearly. The course leads students to be industry-ready. The semesters are not much difficult, and the passing percentage is 33%, but if students stay focused on their studies with a bit of enjoyment, they can easily pass.
Other: I chose this course because I have an interest in food science, and the best thing is the knowledge and practical experiments I do myself, which help me learn more about food science. I think many students are not very aware of this course in my college, so that’s something that can be improved. The events in this college are good and are conducted by different departments with excellent performance.

MBA in Hospital Management - Batch of 2022
Offered by University Institute of Applied Management Sciences, Panjab University

Waste of time and money for doing the course in MBA Hospital Management
Placements: There are no placements for hospital management and even internships are also funded by themselves, no support from faculty and even if there are placements, which are only done for their teachers favourites and internal marks are also given to their favourites, who satisfy their needs and egos Package is zero as no placement are provided by them and their syllabus has many loopholes as compared to other top MBA colleges
Infrastructure: Average to below average facilities provided by them. Ac doesn?t work in summer season Computer lab are most often locked and Wi-Fi for show off don?t work Hostel are good only few though but not all,Canteen food was good but overpriced Toilet are worse than govt hospital
Faculty: There 2 teachers for hospital sector, but only one teaches properly and another one the female teacher doesn?t give a damn and only comes class to gossip about her own family problems with students and favours only her favourite?s student and don?t bother about other than her favourites. Semester are easier to pass but there are loopholes in their syllabus Curriculum is not that relevant as what is needed in corporate hospital It doesn?t make students industry ready even hospital HR laugh at you when they hear you are from uiams Placement coordinator doesn?t bothered about hospital sector students he only focus on other sector like retail banking etc Pass percentage is between 70-75 if you are teacher favourite then you will be scoring higher in %.
Other: If you want join for PU name status then it is good but if you seriously want to study here for growth in career then you will be wasting parents money. As there are no placements, only teachers pets or favourites get good internal marks.

* Limited industry connections: The university's ties with industries seem limited, resulting in fewer job opportunities for students.
* Research-oriented internships: While some internships are available, they tend to be research-focused rather than corporate-driven, limiting practical experience.
* Academic intensity: Some students felt that the course load was too heavy, with little scope for hands-on learning or industry application.

In conclusion, whether M.A. at Panjab University is worth the investment depends on individual goals and expectations. For those seeking a strong academic foundation and theoretical knowledge, the university seems suitable. However, for those looking for direct industry exposure, job guarantees, or extensive career opportunities, they may need to supplement their degree with additional efforts or consider alternative options.

Recommendation: If you're considering the M.A. programme at Panjab University, weigh the pros and cons carefully, focusing on your academic and career aspirations. Consider networking with faculty and peers, exploring extracurricular activities, and developing transferable skills to enhance your prospects.

A:

Yes, Punjab University is under CUET. All postgraduate courses at Central University of Punjab, including the M.Ed., require CUET PG. If you have not taken the CUET PG, the university will not evaluate your application for admission.

A national level entrance test for postgraduate programs in India is called the Common University Entrance Test (CUET PG). The National Testing Agency (NTA) is in charge of conducting it. The test consists of three portions and is based on multiple-choice questions:

Subject-specific Test (SST) and General Test (GAT)
WAT: Writing Ability Test
The GAT part evaluates the candidate's aptitude and general knowledge. The SST portion assesses the candidate's familiarity with the field of study they intend to pursue. A candidate's writing abilities are evaluated in the WAT portion.

Admission to postgraduate programs at Central University of Punjab is entirely based on performance in the CUET PG exam. Your other academic credentials, such as the grades you earned in your bachelor's degree, won't be taken into account by the university for admission.

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement.
