The University offers a variety of merit-based scholarship to the deserving candidates. The scholarship programme of the University has been categorized into three: Merit Scholarship, Research Scholarship and Students Aids.

  1. Merit Scholarship

Students taking admission in the University are eligible for the scholarship on the basis of entrance exam scores for a particular course. Scholarship will be given to top two merit holders.

  1. Research Scholarship

There are four scholarships in each Department/Research Centre will be given to students perusing Ph D degree. The amount will be paid annually to cover miscellaneous expenses.

  1. Students Aids

The University also offers scholarship to the meritorious ones who fall under low-income group. The University of Kashmir Alumni Association also offers financial support to students with poor economic backgrounds with preference given to orphans.

No, both the application fees are for different purposes and can not be used to substitute one or the other. Therefore, once candidates have applied for JEE Main entrance exam they will have to apply again once they take admission into Kashmir University.
