What is Physical Education?
Physical Education, aka PE or Phy.Ed or Physical Training, is a field of studies which deals with ‘the whats’ and ‘hows’ of building a fit body in every aspect and retaining the same. It basically deals with the science of nutrition and exercise methods. It also envelops various sports and other related activities. Candidates who aspire to develop a career from Physical Education or need to specialize in one of its forms can take up the Bachelor’s or Master’s course respectively.
What are B.P.Ed and M.P.Ed?
The Undergraduate variant for a degree in Physical Education is B.P.Ed, short for Bachelor of Physical Education, and its Postgraduate counterpart is M.P.Ed. While the UG course typically has a duration of 3-4 years, the PG course is a 2-year program.
Some colleges also provide 2 year UG courses in PE and correspondence/distance programs for UG and PG courses in the same are also available.
Admissions to the aforementioned courses are based on marks secured in different written exams and fitness tests conducted by the universities/colleges that candidates want to get into.

What are the eligibility criteria for taking up a course in Physical Education?
For B.P.Ed
- Candidate must have passed intermediate in any stream with a minimum of 45-60% score.
- Candidate should be 17 years in age or should have crossed the same.
For M.P.Ed
- Candidate should possess a graduation degree from a recognized university/college.
How to enroll for a course in Physical Education in the desired institution?
There are various institutions here in India providing UG and PG courses in PE, both distance and classroom programs. The application process for the course is not static and varies from institute to institute.
Although most of the colleges have a common format of the admission process for both UG and PG programs, which is often threefold. The first stage is the written exam followed by a physical fitness/proficiency test and a personal interview (in some cases, group discussion).
Those students who have a sports history in their intermediate or schooling period are given preference during admissions.

Just you alternate the main and additional subject in an opposite way then you may get admission in BBA in any big named college.
It depend on board. Generally Physical education is available as optional subject. For BBA it is good to have studies maths, stats, commerce, economics. Few top b schools like NMIMS require maths and stats but other colleges just require 12th with minimum qualifying marks. For IIM Rohtak intrgeta...It depend on board.
