Candidates preparing for CUET 2025 exam can check the chapter-wise weightage for Science, Commerce, and Humanities subjects. The National Testing Agency (NTA) prescribes CUET syllabus and weightage for each section. Candidates preparing for CUET exam 2025 must know the CUET chapter-wise weightage to devise their preparation strategy accordingly. Aspirants can know chapter-wise weightage for CUET for Science, Commerce, and Humanities subjects. NTA has announced CUET 2025 exam date. The CUET 2025 exam will be scheduled between May 13 and June 03, 2025. The CUET exam will be a computer-based test. To obtain a good score in CUET, candidates must ensure to cover CUET 2025 syllabus and important topics for the subjects they will apply for. Keeping in mind the weightage for CUET 2025 subjects and important topics, students must prepare an effective preparation strategy.
Yes. There is a negative marking in the CUET exam. For each wrong answer, one mark is deducted. Negative marking will not be applicable in case of unattempted questions. The marking scheme as per NTA is given below.
i. Correct answer or the most appropriate answer: Five marks (+5)
ii. Any incorrect option marked will be given minus one mark (-1).
iii. Unanswered/Marked for Review will be given no mark (0).
iv. If more than one option is found to be correct then Five marks (+5) will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options.
v. If all options are found to be correct then Five marks (+5) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question.
vi. If none of the options is found correct or a question is found to be wrong or a question is dropped, then all candidates who have attempted the dropped question will be given five marks (+5) marks.
As per the latest CUET UG exam pattern, the CUET UG will now consist of 23 domain subjects, 13 langauges and General Test. The exam pattern for CUET UG is as follows:

CUET Chapter Wise Weightage
CUET UG 2025 syllabus is divided into three sections: Languages, Domain subjects (29 subjects) and General Test. Candidates will be able to choose a maximum of 10 subjects under CUET. While choosing subjects, candidates will have to compulsorily select one language from Section 1A. From section 2- domain subjects, candidates can map the subjects as per the CUET courses they wish to apply for. Section 3 can be opted for the vocational courses or courses with open eligibility.
