The National Testing Agency (NTA) released CUET syllabus and weightage of each section. Candidates preparing for CUET exam 2026 must know CUET chapter-wise weightage to begin preparation strategy accordingly. Aspirants can know the chapter-wise weightage for CUET for Science, Commerce, and Humanities subjects. NTA announced the CUET 2026 exam date. Candidates could apply for exam online at cuet.nta.nic.in. The CUET 2026 was scheduled between May 11 and May 31, 2026. The CUET exam was a computer-based test. Q:   Which subjects have been removed in CUET UG?
A: 

UGC has announced the deletion of 26 subjects from CUET UG 2025 onwards. CUET UG 20 foreign languages and six domain subjects have been removed. Check the list below to know the name of the subjects:

  • Foreign Languages (French, Spanish, German, Nepali, Persian, Italian, Arabic, Sindhi, Kashmiri, Konkani, Bodo, Dogri, Maithili, Manipuri, Santhali, Sanskrit, Tibetan, Japanese, Russian, Chinese)

Q:   What type of questions are asked in the CUET exam?

The CUET questions are objective in nature and carries four options also known as MCQs. Candidates will have to choose the correct answer option and click on it with the help of mouse. Since CUET UG 2026 exam will be conducted in a CBT mode, test-takers will be able to mark only one answer option. In case it is the correct option, students will get +5 marks and in case of wrong answer, negative marking scheme will be applied. Hence, candidates must ensure the accuracy of the answer before selecting the answer.

CUET Chapter Wise Weightage

CUET UG 2026 syllabus is divided into three sections: Languages, Domain subjects (23 subjects) and General Test. Candidates can choose a maximum of five subjects under CUET. While choosing subjects, candidates will have to compulsorily select one language. From section 2- domain subjects, candidates can map the subjects as per the CUET courses they wish to apply for. There are more colleges that accept a NEET score in comparison to those accepting CUET scores. CUET offers less competition and lower cutoff, but also a lesser option of colleges to choose from.

Yes, the Delhi University has activated their CSAS portal. The candidates can apply for the desired courses.The last date for the application will be notified soon.
