Zero percentage of students are placed in our course; no campus placements are there for our course; no recruiting companies will come; just we have to improve our skills.

B.Sc. (Hons.) in Statistics - Batch of 2028
4.2

Pondicherry University is gorgeous.
Placements: Since there hasn't been any batch that has completed their graduation after the university started following the new NEP guidelines, there haven't been any placements made yet. Prior to the implementation of the NEP guidelines, the average package that students got from statistics was around 4 LPA-6 LPA.
Infrastructure: The facilities available right now have been used for a long time and haven't been updated yet in classrooms and labs. But the medical facilities are good, with proper canteens available across the campus. Wi-Fi provided is of good quality in certain places, reaching even up to 16 Mbps/sec.
Faculty: The faculty members teach the curriculum in an understandable manner that stays within the time frame of the semester. While the exams are relatively easy, they are given that there is a proper understanding of the concept. The questions asked are from the overall concepts taught and are asked in such a way to understand the level of concept understanding of the student.

B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2029
3.2

Great place to study, but still, there is way more that can be improved.
Placements: The UG programme for our course has just started 2years back, so none of the batch has been placed yet. Though the Master's programme in this course has started long back, and the placements are below average, I feel. Not sure if the same applies to UG students as well.
Infrastructure: The campus is huge and spread across 800 acres. We have all the amenities, including all the required labs, proper classrooms for students, seminar halls, and conference rooms. Hostel mess provides hygienic and nutritious food all the 3 times a day. The menu is well planned, including a proper diet. We also have a health centre where health services are provided free of cost.
Faculty: Teachers here are well-educated and experienced. But the curriculum designed does not develop students' skills. Rather, they are mostly book-oriented. Exams are conducted here are moderate. Not tough at all. Not very easy either. In our batch, probably all the students have passed.

B.Tech. in Material Science and Technology - Batch of 2029
4.6

Best for students who like the B.Tech and make connections with different countries students.
Placements: First of all, yours is the 2nd batch in this university. Before that, there was M. Tech for the last 2 years, and they started B.Tech, which is good. Coming to the placement part, it's quite good, not below average. Compared to other universities, this is a central university, so it's good in that case. I have no idea about the highest package place, but I have heard that the highest is 40 LPA.
Infrastructure: Coming to facilities and infrastructure, it's very good for our department, which has a newly designed building with an AI sensor corridor light, which was used from 2015. The hostel is good with very well furnished rooms and the best maintenance and cleaning all around the campus, not only in the toilets. Mess food is good for what we are paying, like we are paying, and the canteen service is very good. Medical is next-level full fee, with well-maintained hygiene, and also 24/7. Sports and games are also available with very good grounds and a stadium.
Faculty: The teachers are well educated from top IITs, NITs, and IISc, which makes all the students feel proud to get education from all good, qualified teachers. From my perspective, the course curriculum is good enough to get into the industry after graduation, but students' effort is very much needed to do their best to get an internship, and they should be extroverted and should attend all workshops. Coming to semester exams, it is divided into 60-40, in which 40 is internals, and 60 is externals. In that 60, we should score a minimum of 24 to pass in that subject.
Other: It's a huge, widely spread greenery campus of more than 820 acres. Mainly, it is located in a union territory, and it's good to be part of this university. There are many students from all parts of the country, also from Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Andaman, and Lakshadweep. So we can get a better network all across the world.

It is a nice place to build our career.
Placements: Placements are quite good. My seniors are getting placed in Wabag, Chennai. Some other good companies also hire students. Packages offered are quite good for those who have nice company. For internships, faculty members will give permission to some of the popular institutes and industries.
Infrastructure: Facilities are good. The network connection is quite poor, to be honest. We have library facilities. Our college conducts tournaments every year for all sports. Inter-college matches are available for all sports. The canteen food is below average.
Faculty: Some faculty members are really good, and some of them are not. Semester exams are quite moderate. The course curriculum makes us know about what we have to study in this course within 4 years and gives us a clear idea to go and build our future in the respective fields.

No placement. Friendly faculty members.
Placements: There is no placement after the course completion. We need to find our own jobs. After the completion of the course, you will get a Pondicherry University Certificate. After this course, learn any other skills like GIS, Python, etc. It will be helpful. Experience is required for a high-earning job in this field. Start from the DDMA, and we get a job.
Infrastructure: There is less equipment, and some equipment does not work properly. The department has one smartboard and Wi-Fi connection. There is a common library for the college. The food was average. The mess is contract-based, every year, it changes. Inside, there is a hostel committee and a campus committee, which conduct programmes, etc. There is a small ground in the hostel for throwball, cricket, football, etc.
Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. The teachers are so friendly. Everything depends on the teacher's mood and the students' behavior. The syllabus now updated the teachers always try to put something new for students to teach. Everything is helpful, but something is outdated even though it is good.
Other: The students are from different places, so we can be friends with everyone. Soon it will improve language. Know about every culture, including Onam, Vishu, Durga Puja, Ganesh Chaturthi, and Diwali. There is a celebration and Anekaragam, it's so good, it's a programme conducted in this university. The campus is small, but it's good.

It's a decent university.
Placements: The placements are very average. On average, only 4-5 students get placed. The package for the placed students is pretty decent. It's mainly up to the students. Their level of understanding of the course and how up-to-date they are plays a major role.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is decent. Some lab equipment needs to be upgraded. The classrooms are spacious and neat. There is a dispensary within the campus grounds with a nurse and a doctor always on call during working hours. The library has a good collection of books that can be used for reference. The sports and games area is also decent.
Faculty: The faculty members are the best. They are all very well qualified and have a deep understanding of their respective subjects of expertise. The curriculum is good, but it doesn't compare to the NEP curriculum. It, however, does do the job and makes the student industry-ready as long as the student puts in the effort to understand the subjects in the course. The semester exam questions feel fair enough.
