B.Sc. in Economics - Batch of 2028

Absolutely recommend this one.
Placements: Placements are absolutely based on your CGPA throughout your college years. Sometimes, placements are international for top-performing students. On average, 70% of students get placed, as 10% go for higher studies, and the remaining 20% try for outside placements.
Infrastructure: The hostel is extremely beautiful, but it is only for boys. There is no girls' hostel facility. Hygiene is maintained, and the environment is friendly among all types of students. There is no ragging at the extreme level seen in other colleges. Students are free to talk to their juniors.
Faculty: Teachers are extremely helpful. If you face any problems, there are mentors to help you out. Teaching is at a 4.5 level, but I recommend it as it is a home university. The exam patterns and marking schemes are much easier than in other universities.
Other: Economics honors is a very prestigious course studied at the Presidency. Elite people like Amartya Sen and Abhijit Vinayak have graduated from here. We are extremely proud of them and try to idolize them and reach that level.

B.A. in Preforming Arts - Batch of 2025

The exact place you need to grow as an artist as well as a human being.
Placements: Most of the students from my batch will be pursuing master's degrees here, so they didn't go for a full-time job right now including me but we got job offers ranging from 3 LPA-4 LPA. The top recruiting companies are SVF and KCC by Emami Group. Almost 100% of students got internships from this course at KCC. Top roles offered are arts manager, instructor, and professor after completing masters' and post-doctorate.
Infrastructure: We have our lecture theatre with two portable ACs, sound systems, and a projector for a comfortable and engaging learning experience for the students. We have our practical room at the Black Box Theatre, and all the instruments are available there guitar, tabla, keyboard, etc. We have our dance studio where the dance students as well as the theatre students practice their arts and the library contains all the necessary books for the course. The hostel is big, there's a huge football ground, the food is healthy and hygienic and it's near Calcutta Medical College for any kind of emergencies.
Faculty: The professors are engaging and helpful both with practicals and theories. The curriculum is versatile and relevant for getting into the world of performing arts as a working professional be it a performer or an academician. Semester exams are not that hard if class notes are followed correctly. The pass rate is above 95%.
Other: I'm a musician and wanted to be a musician before joining this course, I'd say if you're signing up for this be ready and open to learn because this course teaches it all, and if you want to be a true artist then all this knowledge will be really helpful to make you grow not just an artist but as an individual, both skillful and personally. We have some huge fests every year and as an artist, it's a huge platform to showcase your talents in front of a large audience on the campus and also from outside.

Best for local and nearby students.
Placements: Placements are average but top score students easily get their placements in reputed companies. New startups and nearby companies recruit from here. No high package goes in the college but average salary ranges from 4 LPA - 5 LPA. No internships for students are provided by the college. They have to find themselves.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is maintained well with the best facilities according to the fees. No Wi-Fi is available on the campus. It has a big library, classrooms, seminar hall, labs, boys and girls common room. No hostel facility is provided by the college. Canteen food is great and hygienic in taste.
Faculty: Teaching and faculty management are appreciated there. They have good number and reputed members. They have the best experience and skills to teach students. Course curriculum is relevant because of teachers' guidance and case studies are held in every discussion. Semester exam is easy to pass and is held twice a year.

Presidency College and its shenanigans with the prospect of academics and placements.
Placements: Our course does not provide placement, but we are generally offered internships from various NGOs and it further enhances the capacity to work in various conditions and situations. It helps in establishing an academic conditioning that helps in prospects.
Infrastructure: The art department is considered to be one of the best in the country. The infrastructure consists of labs, Wi-Fi, AC, classrooms, etc. The hostel is a Hindu hostel which is available for all the students of the university.
Faculty: Teachers are highly educated and specialized in the field. They are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching is very high compared to other universities. The course curriculum is relevant and makes us industry-ready. It also further helps us with the semesters. Overall knowledge results in appearing for this semester and the pass percentage is quite high.
Other: I chose the course because I found sociology interesting enough. The crowd and the campus life are quite high in Presidency as it consists of the heritage of the Presidency College, which was established in 1817.

Goodness of Presidency University.
Placements: In our class, there are 27 students. To get admitted to this college students need to crack the PUBDET exam of respective subjects. There is a huge package offered in our college which we will get after completing B.Sc. As I am studying statistics there is a huge chance to get a better future.
Infrastructure: The facility of my department is good. The library of our college is amazing. There is every kind of book which we need. As I have not applied for a hostel so don't know much information about the hostel.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is amazing. It took me interested to study it and know about the subject outcome. The course exams are quite tough but interesting. The pass percentage is 40%, it's easy to get 40%. All teachers help us to learn. They always help us in every way.
Other: After completing the 12th exam I was looking for a good college then I found this college. I chose the subject statistics because I loved mathematics since childhood. In statistics field, there is a great future.

My overall experience in college has been transformative and enriching.
Placements: It's good for someone who wants to pursue an academic line like a Ph.D. or other higher courses but not so good for someone who wants to go into an academic line. They do give opportunities to work in NGOs through NSS and also offer some internship programs like digital marketing.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good as per the fee we pay per semester. The food that the college provides in the canteen can be better. The medical facilities are average, and the college provides numerous opportunities for those interested in sports.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The course makes students ready for higher studies, but some can also opt for human resources after getting a degree from the college by doing certain courses. Besides, they also provide digital marketing internship opportunities. Professors are very helpful and hold higher degrees. The course is very good for someone who wants to opt for research in the future. Besides, they provide plenty of seminars to attend.
Other: I chose sociology as a course of study because it offers a deep understanding of how societies function and relationships between individuals and groups. It fosters critical thinking and equips me with tools to address social issues like inequality and injustice. The interdisciplinary nature of sociology opens diverse career opportunities while also promoting personal growth and empathy. Overall, it allows me to engage meaningfully with the world and contribute to positive social change. The department is very good, and I am fully satisfied with it. They offer numerous opportunities to showcase our talents through events and fests.
