CAT questions for practice - The CAT previous year question papers are best source of preparation as a time bound test requires speed and accuracy which can be achieved only through practice. CAT Exam Pattern 2026 Overview

The table below explains the latest CAT exam pattern 2026. Every CAT mock test is designed on the basis of the following structure to provide the candidate with the experience of the actual exam. In CAT 2025, there were 22 questions in DILR section. It is expected that CAT 2026 will also have the same number of questions in DILR.

Direction for Question 1 to 4: Answer the questions on the basis of the information given below.

Four persons (1) Rohit, (2) Jugeet, (3) Hemraj and (4) Durgesh each had some initial money with them. They all were playing bridge in a way that the loser doubles the money of each of the other three persons from his share. The four sentences (labelled 1, 2, 3, 4) given below, when properly sequenced would yield a coherent paragraph. Decide on the proper sequence of the order of the sentences and key in the sequence of the four numbers as your answer.

      1. It became evident that the mosquitoes were developing an immunity to the poison and a different approach is required to combat this challenge.

  1. One way of destroying the mosquitoes is by spraying and a powerful poison called DDT was developed that could be sprayed on ponds and stagnant water.
  2. DDT can be sprayed by hand or spread by an aeroplane over areas that are difficult to reach.
  3. For a time, DDT worked wonders in reducing the number of mosquitoes but the promise of DDT did not last long.

Yes. IIMB does require the CAT exam, but the rest of the top B-schools in Bangalore also take in candidates through the state-level CET, ie, the Karnataka PGCET exam, or through MAT or CMAT.

IIM Calcutta has only mentioned accepting GMAT score for admission into EMBA courses.

However, CAT is commonly accepted by other similar institutes for both MBA and MBAEx courses. Thus, candidates are advised to ask admission desk for confirmation on this question.

It is not possible to determine a candidate's admission in IIM Calcutta MBA course through CAT score alone. In Stage 1, a score 85% in CAT will be enough for a general category candidate to be selected for PI+WAT admission stage.

Final admission cutoffs are based on many factors other than CAT score.

No, IIM Calcutta cannot get into MBA courses without appearing CAT first. CAT is a mandatory entrance exam and it is conducted every year for admissions into all MBA courses offered by this institute.

No, you cannot use the CAT score for direct admission to the MBA/PGDM course at this university.
