What is CUET PG?
Central University Entrance Test (Postgraduate) or CUET PG is an all-India level entrance exam which is being introduced for admission into PG programmes in Central and participating Universities. The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) will provide a common platform and equal opportunities to candidates across the country, especially those from North East and from rural and other remote areas and help to establish better connect with the Universities. A single Examination will enable the Candidates to cover a wide outreach and be part of the admissions process to various Central Universities.
The number of exam centres in India for CUET PG 2023 has been reduced. Now the exam centres for CUET PG 2023 examination in India are 313 which was 554 centres last year. However, the number of exam centres outside India has been increased. Now the exam centres outside India are 24, which was just 13 last year. CUET PG 2024 exam centre details will be notified later. The exam will be conducted in a computer-based mode for two hours. Till last year, the exam was known as Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET). Prior to 2021, UGC used to conduct the test in a paper-pencil-based mode.

Q: What is the role of NTA in the CUET PG examination?
NTA which is known as National Testing Agency is the examination conducting body of CUET PG examination. The Role of NTA is confined to registration of candidates, conduct of the test, hosting of answer key, inviting challenges, finalising Answer Keys, preparing and declaring result and hosting Score Card. Merit list will be prepared by participating Universities/ organisations. Universities may conduct their individual counselling on the basis of the score card of CUET (PG)-2023 provided by NTA.
Q: What is the age limit to apply for CUET PG examination?
For appearing in the CUET PG examination there is no age limit for the candidates. The candidates who have passed the
bachelor degree/equivalent examination or appearing in 2023 irrespective of their age can appear in CUET (PG) 2023
examination. However, the candidates will be required to fulfill the age criteria of the University in which they are desirous of taking admission.
As the eligibility criteria for admission may be unique for every University, the candidates are advised to visit the University website to which they are applying for their respective programs

Q: How is CUET PG examination monitored at the exam centres?
• A Central Control Room was opened to monitor and facilitate the smooth conduct of the Examination on the ground. 02 National Coordinators, 19 Regional Coordinators, 303 City Coordinators, 1083 Observers, and 162 Deputy Observers were deployed.
• Live CCTV Surveillance was planned in all examination centres to curb malpractices in the examination. The NTA also made arrangements for live viewing of remote locations of all examination centres from the Control Room located in the NTA premises of New Delhi. Recording of CCTV Systems was also done.
• The examination centres were also monitored using AI-based Video Analytics and Virtual Observers.
• In order to stop cheating using mobile networks, Jammers were installed in all the Centres.

- The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
- A constituent subject of Nepal, Bhutan
- A Tibetan refugee who landed in India before 1 January 1962 to make India their permanent home and reside there permanently.

CUET PG 2024 Application form is expected to be released online by NTA on the official website of the exam web page in the third week of March. Candidates can fill CUET application form in online mode on the official website- link will e provided after the release of CUET PG application form. The first step is to register by entering the basic details such as name, address and contact details. This will generate login credentials. After logging in with the registration credentials, candidates will have to fill up the CUET 2024 application form with their personal and academic details, programme and exam city preference and upload documents. After the form is filled, candidates will have to pay the CUET application fee online via debit/credit card, Net Banking, Paytm and UPI. The application fees for CUET PG 2023 has been increased from last year. Since the CUET PG 2024 application forms are not out, therefore the fees details are not mentioned here. Complete the CUET (PG) 2024 application form by entering the information related to personal details, selecting paper and exam cities, educational details and uploading a photograph and signature
The photograph and signature should be in JPEG format. While the photograph should be between 10 KB to 200 KB, the signature should be between 4 KB to 30 KB.

Q: What factors determine the CUET PG Cut off?
The cut-off marks for candidates majorly depends on the following factor:
- Difficulty level of the CUET PG 2023 Examination
- Number of seats available for a particular course
- Total Number of Test Takers
- NIRF Ranking of the university for which the candidate applied for
- Category of the candidate
Hence, because of all these factors CUET PG 2023 candidate can expect differnet set of cut offs for different participating universities.
Q: Who will determine the final merit list for CUET PG Admission?
NTA will generate the Score Card only. After that the admission exercise (including counselling) shall be handled by the participating Universities/Institutions officials only. Scores and candidate data would be shared with all the participating Universities. The CUET PG 2023 Merit list or Cut off will be made after all the process of counselling is being conducted by the participating universities of CUET PG 2023.
