Do your best hardwork to get into IIT.
Placements: Placements were very good. Almost all students get placed. Most of my friends got placed. Mostly students were placed in different top universities as associate professors. Some students were getting internships from foreign countries like Japan, Russia, the UK, USA universities. Good internship opportunities were available for all branches. You can receive information regarding these from the Office of Career Service OCS IITH. A lot of Japanese companies hire from here.
Infrastructure: Libraries were the best. They look like fictional libraries any reader would just love. Almost all genres were available. There was online checking facility of availability of books. Seating spaces were very creative specially crafted for studying and peaceful work. Classrooms were very good. Air conditioning, projectors, TV, stepped platform, etc. The premises are very friendly. There is a gym and track and all facilities separately for each sport. Track for running, basketball court, tennis court, football ground, cricket ground, closed and open, open running track, closed running track, volleyball court etc separately.
Faculty: The course curriculum was very good compared to other colleges but the way it was executed has to be improved. This was a new course so there are many difficulties. Exam patterns were decided by the faculty in charge of each course. Most of them follow a pattern where there was a mid semester exam and a final exam. Faculty to student ratio was kind of neutral. There were a lot of faculty members and a lot of students. I do not know the correct number but the campus was neither overcrowded nor empty.

IIT Hyderabad is a good college.
Placements: From the 7th semester, students are eligible for campus placements. Some companies that visit the college are Samsung Research, Adobe Research, and Intel. The highest package offered this year is 90 LPA, and the average package offered is 23 LPA. The percentage of students who get placements is 74.90 percent. I am still trying to figure out whether to do higher studies or to do a job. Wipro and Suzuki provide many internship opportunities. Many consulting companies also come to the college. Developing ourselves must be our priority after joining the college because there are so many opportunities for students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is the most beautiful and best thing I liked. All buildings have a form of Japanese infrastructure. The maintenance of the hostels is so poor. The food in the mess is not very good. It is not so spicy, and mainly, South Indians don't like the food. The library is very good and very accessible. All classrooms are well-equipped with projectors and screens for easy and good learning.
Faculty: The faculty-to-student ratio is about 1:14. The faculty and student relationship is so good. All faculty members encourage students to interact with them in class hours and also provide facilities to meet them in the office. There are many assignments that helped me understand the topics well. Most of the first-year courses do not prepare us for real-world applications. The course curriculum should be modified so that students will be well prepared for real-world applications, and teaching the same old traditional courses wouldn't help us. The frequency of exams is good enough, but the difficulty level is high.

Review of IIT Hyderabad College.
Placements: Honestly, the campus placements here are fantastic. If you have skills, it's pretty straightforward to get placed with a decent package. We're talking about a 100% placement rate because more than enough companies are coming to our campus. It's not unusual for a student to end up with two job offers. The highest and the lowest packages vary by branch, but I'd say the top package can reach up to 50 LPA, while the lowest sits around 15 LPA-16 LPA.
Infrastructure: In spite of the college's overall infrastructure being just alright, the campus-wide Wi-Fi, well-used labs, comfortable classrooms, and extensive library become a great source of satisfaction. The vast array of textbooks and other materials available on campus removes the necessity for students to buy many of the resources from outside. Students can also avail themselves of transportation and on-campus housing facilities in case they do not have their own vehicles. The mess is clean, and if we talk about the food menu, it is quite good, but if more items of students' choice are introduced, it will surely be beneficial.
Faculty: Faculty here always excel, but they do their job well. First year teaching was very similar to high school, which made the change quite easy. The yearly tests are not too hard. The college also recognized academic successes and took special care to award the highest achievers.

Campus Life at IIT Hyderabad.
Placements: 70% were placed in my college last year. The highest package is 30 LPA. All students got an internship in our branch. It is one of the best branches at IIT Hyderabad. You can also prepare for tech. The course of our branches is well prepared and organised.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our course is also very nice. Our department consists of a building in which most of the rooms belong to labs. In every room, you will get free Wi-Fi. The canteen will serve at least five items per day, and the taste is also very nice.
Faculty: Teaching is excellent, and they have mostly done their Ph.D. in IIT. Professors at IIT Hyderabad are highly knowledgeable and always helpful. They clear the doubts of the students at any time in the class. And the exams are above average in terms of difficulty.

Awesome infrastructure and faculty members.
Placements: The course I chose, engineering physics is more research-oriented. This year, only 5 out of 25 students got placed. But I am sure only 10-15 applied for placements as most are inclined to research. Internships are offered by multiple types of companies like software companies but also other ones like LIGO. Some people did internships in universities in Germany too.
Infrastructure: The hostel is excellent, spacious, and has charming architecture. There are single rooms for 2nd years and above. The food in the mess is good too with lots of variety even if it tends to get boring after a while. The library is also known as the Knowledge Research Center. It is very big with lots of books and e-resources. Labs are equipped with the best possible and updated equipment. The Wi-Fi is super fast here, in the full campus.
Faculty: Most teachers are helpful, especially when you want to do projects and learn more things under their tutelage. The course curriculum is pretty updated and gives a lot of time for individual learning. The resources for the courses are many. Exams usually depend on the professors, as their grading scheme. The syllabus is the deciding factor for the CGPA.
Other: I was always interested in Physics so I chose this course. The course has a lot of room for exploring all the different areas of Physics. Events and fests here are many and awesome. They are lots of fun and something that people shouldn't miss. There are many clubs here to meet people passionate about the same topics as you, to learn something that has always interested you, to meet like minded people and do projects with them. About scholarships, general students below 500 AIR and girls below 1000 AIR are exempt from tuition feels.

B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2025
3.8

Good infrastructure, faculty and facilities, but limited core placements in mechanical.
Placements: Around 60-70% of students from my Mechanical Engineering branch were placed, with a total batch strength of approximately 60 students. Out of these, around 10 secured core placements, primarily in PSUs like BPCL BEL and IOCL, as most core companies prefer M.Teach graduates. The rest of the placed students moved into non-core sectors like IT and management, joining companies such as Deloitte, Javis, ICICI, and Chub Analytics. Salary packages for core (PSU) roles range from ?12 LPA to ?20 LPA, while non-core roles offered salaries between ?12 LPA and ?40 LPA.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in hostels, mess, canteen, academic blocks, etc. The new library opened last year and is very big, with access to a variety of books. Labs are well-equipped. The new sports complex opened last year and has all games available. Mess food is not good most of the time.
Faculty: Teaching quality is very good and faculty is helpful and you can do projects under them. Course curriculum is a bit outdated but they are changing it for our juniors. Here it is fractal academics so the grading policy depends on the instructor. Apart from one or two instructors most of them are not much strict.
Other: I chose mechanical engineering because of my deep interest in Physics. The faculty and resources are well-structured, providing a good balance of theoretical and practical learning. One major area for improvement is the lack of core placement opportunities since most core companies prefer M.Teach graduates. Regarding campus life, the college hosts various sports and cultural fests. The campus crowd is diverse and engaging, making it a great place for networking and extracurricular activities. The campus is well-connected, and the surroundings offer a peaceful environment. The sports and extracurricular activities are well-supported, with facilities for badminton, table tennis, volleyball etc.
