Life inside IIT Hyderabad: great placements, Japanese architecture, campus lacking greenery.
Placements: Out of all the people, around 75% got placed in IIT Hyderabad. The average package of all students is around 20 LPA. Top recruiters include Google, Microsoft, McKinsey and Co., Tata Steel, Boston Consulting Group, Swiggy, Zomato, and many others. Top roles offered are software development, core research and development, and consulting.
Infrastructure: The buildings are the latest and very well designed. Due to the link with Japan, the architecture has also been influenced. It boasts world-class library facilities. The hostel rooms are water-cooled, with water flowing between walls, ceilings, and floors to keep the rooms cool. The classrooms are also massive and can hold around 150 students, equipped with proper projector facilities.
Faculty: The professors are all Ph.D. scholars and are very helpful. The teaching assistants are M.Tech or current Ph.D. students. They all readily clear doubts, whether in class or when approached by mail. The compulsory internship during the summer break after the third year definitely makes students industry-ready. There is also a research internship provided by IIT Hyderabad itself.
Other: There are two major fests: Elan and Vision. The cultural and tech fests, respectively. The fests are arranged and managed by the student bodies as well. There are multiple courts to play many different sports. The only thing I personally want improved on the campus is the lack of any greenery.

Satisfied with almost everything.
Placements: Students from fourth year B.Tech are mostly preferred for placements and M.Tech, Ph.D. students are also given importance. Many companies visit campus during placement drives, keep some exams and take interviews. At an average nearly all students get in the range of 20-50 Lacs. Few get above 50 Lacs. Companies from Japan, Microsoft, Nvidia, Infosys etc. Visit. Nearly 350+ students got placements in 2023. After getting my degree I need to get in placements due to some financial problems later on I want to do something better.
Infrastructure: Single rooms are provided to all the students, except a single hostel named Ramanuja. RCS is present to cool the rooms during the summer days. Discussions on the mess food is debatable, most of us have an issue with the mess food. On somedays, it is good but most of the time the mess food especially lunch is quite pathetic. Breakfast is good providing every portion of the nutrients. Dinner is also good comparatively. For day scholars, you have to stay either in Sangareddy town which is 6-7 kms from the campus or in Hyderabad City which is 50-60 kms from the campus.
Faculty: The professors from each branch are highly qualified with enough experience to provide us the required knowledge needed for upcoming professional life. Most of them are quite friendly and we can approach them whenever we need any help. We need to just contact them through email and they will provide us the time for a meet up. Also, students have been doing projects from first year itself under the designated professors. Also, for each branch there is a Professor alloted for mental health and well being and whenever we need help we can approach them. A professor is alloted to design the course and give us idea about the courses and which courses to take and which to not take. Overall, faculty is quite good and friendly as per an IIT.
Other: One of the biggest first of South India Elan and Envision which is cultural and technical fest held every year in February or March. Others sports competitions such as Diesta which is inter-departmental completion and Milan which is inter-hostel completion are held every year. Online games and indoor games competitions are held as part of Revive.

IIT Hyderabad campus life, placements, and fee structure.
Placements: Around 570 students are placed. The highest and average packages offered are around 65 LPA and 20 LPA, respectively. The top recruiting companies are Google, Accenture, Microsoft, PayPal, Deloitte, Oracle, etc. Some students prefer research field and other government exams like GATE, etc.
Infrastructure: The campus has modern facilities and a well-equipped infrastructure, which enhanced my learning experience. The quality of food in the mess could be consistent at times, but it didn't always meet expectations in terms of taste and variety.
Faculty: The courses curriculum rating depends on how well it covers your career growth and career goals and also cover both theoretical concepts and practical concepts. Grafting is little hard. The core subjects are so tough and also interesting. Teachers are very helpful and guide us in a very proper way.
Other: In IIT Hyderabad, we have our annual fest, Elan and Vision, which is organized for 3 days and Milan is an inter-hostel cultural and sports fests. Participating in those events helps us enhance our skills as members of the team. The library at IITH has lots of books.

Many memories in our college.
Placements: The IIT Hyderabad is the best college for placements, where more than 96% of students are placed in top tech companies in Hyderabad. If you need to relocate, they help you. The highest package offered is 38 to 52 LPA, and the lowest package is 2.7 to 5 LPA, with the average package offered by top companies ranging from 15 to 21 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course include Wipro, Amazon, Microsoft, Cisco, Uber, and HP. These companies also offer internship opportunities.
Infrastructure: The facilities are top-class, with excellent labs and all facilities like Wi-Fi. Classrooms are large, and the library is very good. The college also provides hostel facilities where we get good food. The mess is clean and offers a variety of food compared to the canteen. Medical facilities are provided, and sports and games materials are available or conducted.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable. Many teachers in my college have good teaching skills and explain concepts in an understandable way, ensuring that the syllabus is covered easily. Semester exams are hard, but we all pass with good marks due to our teachers. The course is relevant to new tech. They make students ready for the industry. The semester exams are hard to pass, with a passing percentage of 98%.

About the campus life of IIT Hyderabad.
Placements: 79% students are placed in different companies in different sectors, and the highest package was 58 LPA, the minimum was 6 LPA, the average was 18 LPA, and companies like amazon google microsoft, etc. And also, students who are studying in 3rd year got internships in different sectors; the top roles were in each sector, and it also depends upon your skills.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was excellent, the hostels were amazing, and the Wi-Fi was unlimited 24/7. The fastest Wi-Fi was also available, and the classrooms were also big and amazing. Every department has its own building. In IIT Hyderabad, there are lecture halls, which are at IIT Bombay Medical Facilities, also 24/7, and there is a is a big sports complex. The quality of the food is very good. There are two messes on the campus.
Faculty: The faculty was very excellent, and the staff was very advanced and qualified. The curriculum was flexible; it was very good, and the times were also very good. Coming to exams, in a semester there are 3 segments: 1-2, 3-4, and 6 and in course, the subjects are in credit; some subjects are one credit, some are two, and some are three, and based on the exam, the marks can be calculated.
Other: I chose mechanical engineering because I have interest in it, and the best thing about it is labs and projects By doing so, you can get a better idea of it and events and festivals are also conducted every year. The campus surroundings are also very beautiful and the students can get scholarship every year but it depends on your caste, gender, etc.

Cutoff FAQs

Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 1 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 1 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2024 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main Session 1 score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analyzing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for JEE Main 2024 Session 2 examination.
