IIT Hyderabad is a residential campus with modern hostel blocks under the care of the Council of Wardens and the Hostel Office. All hostels are LAN enabled, well‑ventilated, etc. There are 23 hostel blocks. Most students get individual rooms with a cot, study table and cupboard. The residential blocks are designed using pioneering Radiant Cooling Technology and unique Japanese architectural principles to maintain natural airflow and comfortable temperatures. Kalpana Chawla, Ramanuja, Vivekananda, and SN Bose blocks have double‑sharing rooms, while the Kapila block is dual sharing for Non‑Regular Students.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is the most beautiful and best thing I liked. All buildings have a form of Japanese infrastructure. The maintenance of the hostels is so poor.
