- GATE 2027 City allotment notification for IIT Hyderabad M.E./M.Tech admission will be announced on Jan 4, 2027. The exam will be held from Feb 6 to Feb 7, 2027; Feb 13 to Feb 14, 2027; and Feb 20 to Feb 21, 2027.

IIT Hyderabad MTech course is a PG level engineering course that is offered in full-time mode. Check below IITH MTech highlights:
Specialisations: MTech at IIT Hyderabad has a duration of two years which is available in several specialisations including MTech in Chemical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Additive Manufacturing, Biomedical Engineering, etc.
Admission: Selection of candidates for IIT Hyderabad MTech admission is done during the COAP counseling, based on GATE. Candidates are also required to fulfill the eligibility criteria for MTech admissions at IIT Hyderabad. The GATE exam has no limit on number of attempts, meaning that candidates can attempt it as many times as they want. There is also no age limit to appear for the GATE exam.

To apply for IIT Hyderabad MTech course admission, candidates must appear for the GATE. Candidates can only complete the IIT Hyderabad MTech application process in online mode. The process followed for IIT Hyderabad MTech admissions has been described below for candidate reference:
STEP 1: IIT Hyderabad MTech Application Process 2027
IIT Hyderabad MTech admission process is comprised solely of the GATE registration process. To register for the GATE, candidates must go to the official portal of GATE and fill out the registration form. To submit the registration form, candidates will need to pay the GATE registration fees which also acts as the IIT Hyderabad MTech application fees.
Once the candidates have appeared for GATE and received their result, they are required to register for the subsequent counseling rounds to complete the IIT Hyderabad MTech application process.
STEP 2: Allotment of Seats
During the counseling rounds, a candidate's GATE result is looked at during IIT Hyderabad admissions to the MTech course. If the candidates are selected, they will be alloted a seat in the MTech course after the document verification process.
STEP 3: Confirmation of Admissions
