NIRF 2024 Rankings are out. As per the latest NIRF 2024 rankings, IIT Hyderabad ranks #8 under the category 'Engineering'.
The GATE COAP 2025 registration is open for admission to the ME/MTech courses, and the last date to register is May 15, 2025. Additionally, the GATE COAP 2025 round 1 window to view offers and take a decision will be opened on May 17, 2025 (10 AM).
A few more updates are given below:
- The JEE Main Session 2 result 2025 has been released for IIT Hyderabad admission to BE/BTech courses. Candidates who appeared for the exam can log in and check or download their scorecards from the official website.
- The registration window for JEE Advanced 2025 is now open for admission to the BE/BTech courses, and the last date to register is May 2, 2025. To confirm the registration process, candidates must pay their registration fee latest by May 5, 2025. Furthermore, the JEE Advanced 2025 examination will be held on May 18, 2025.
- PhD July 2025 applications are closed now.
- MTech (online) 2025 applications are open, and the last date is extended till Apr 30, 2025.
- The UCEED Round 1 Seat Allotment Result 2025 has been released for IIT Hyderabad admission to the B.Des course. Candidates who are allotted seats in Round 1 will have to pay the seat acceptance fee till Apr 29, 2025 (6 pm). Moreover, the seat withdrawal window will be open from Apr 30 to May 11, 2025 (6 pm). Further, the UCEED 2025 Round 2 seat allotment will be announced on May 19, 2025.
- The IIT JAM Counselling 2025 invalid category candidates list for admission to the MSc course will be displayed on May 8, 2025. In addition, the IIT JAM 2025 first admission list will be declared tentatively on May 26, 2025.

IIT Hyderabad Popular Programmes 2025
IIT Hyderabad offers a wide range of courses at the UG, PG, and doctoral levels through its departments, including the Department of Civil Engineering, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, and the Department of Biomedical Engineering, among others.

IIT Hyderabad Admission Process and Important Dates 2025
IIT Hyderabad offers various UG and PG programmes such as BTech, BDes, MTech, MSc, MA and others. The institute also offers a PhD programme in various disciplines.
The mode of the Indian Institute of Hyderabad admission is online. Further, IIT Hyderabad admissions to various courses are based on merit and entrance exam scores. For admission to its BTech programmes, IITH accepts the JEE Advanced scores. Candidates must appear for the JEE Main exam first, to qualify for the JEE Advanced exam. IITH provides admissions to its BTech programmes through the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling. On the successful completion of the counselling process, candidates are selected for the final seat allotment after the documents verification and tuition fee payment. IIT Hyderabad admission 2025 also accepts other national-level exams such as GATE and IIT JAM for admission to its MTech and MSc programmes, respectively.

IIT Hyderabad Student Life and Culture
The student life and culture at IIT Hyderabad are quite vibrant with social activities, fests, clubs, cultural events and workshops.
Annually, IIT Hyderabad conducts its Techno-Cultural fest, namely Elan &nVision. This is the largest college fest in South India. Earlier, popular singers such as Benny Dayal, Shirley Setia, Darshan Raval and comedian- Zakir Khan were actively seen performing with numerous other artists at IIT Hyderabad fests. Cultural Clubs under the Cultural Council include Infocus, Behind the Lens, Vibes, Rang de Manch, Gesture Shuffle, and LitSoc. According to the Shiksha ratings, the students rated IITH 4.3 out of 5 in campus life.
Indian Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad also offers its supermarket, 'Sampoorna' where students can buy toiletries, snacks, stationery, fruits and vegetables and all the basic grocery items. The institute provides modern transportation services such as EVs and Buses to the students.
