I'm satisfied with faculty members and peer groups but hostels could have been better.
Placements: NIT Trichy is known for its placements. Last year's, production engineering average package was around 14 LPA. The highest package was around 36 LPA. So placements at NIT Trichy are pretty good. They also have internship placement drive and students get pretty good placements with that and land at good PPOs because of the internship drive.
Infrastructure: Talking about infrastructure the syllabus is very much up to date and they have very good lab facilities. Most students joining central universities are for the peer group so most people opt for hostels and hostels are also decent with good Wi-Fi and decent washrooms.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified with a Ph.D. from top IITs. And they are very helpful. Exams are conducted regularly which might be seen as a burden but at the same time, it is very useful because if you are not able to perform well in one exam that won't affect your grades because you can give backlogs as exams happen continuously.

My journey in NIT Trichy.
Placements: Currently, in my college, placements are going on, but some data released by the college shows that 93% of chemical students get placed. The highest package till is 34 LPA. The average package is 16 LPA. 5 students got placed with a package of above 30 LPA. 20 students got placed with a package of above 25 LPA, and 34 students got placed with a package of 15 LPA.
Infrastructure: Our classrooms are well-maintained and fully air-conditioned. The library is so big and all types of books are available in library. In the second semester, we have two labs in a week, one is Physics, and the other is for engineering practice.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. They guide us in academic as well as career-wise. Teachers are well-trained here, so it is very helpful for us to understand their way of teaching. The course curriculum is updated as per the industrial requirements every time and it helps us to interrelate the things from books to real life. Exams are held in three stages, i.e., class test 1, class test 2, assignments, and end-semester exams. The difficulty level depends on the students whether they attend all classes or not. The course curriculum for our course is like in the second semester 21 credits and in the first, it is like 19 credits.
Other: I chose chemical engineering because I have an interest in chemicals and the environment. The best thing is that the chemical course placements are very good compared to other courses. If I get a chance to improve something it must be our EEE professor who is very rude and he just comes to write something on the board and leaves without saying a word.

The college is good enough to provide us with opportunities, but it lacks in extracurricular activit
Placements: I don't have any figures, but the percentage of placed students will be around 90%. The highest salary was 53 lakhs, and the average salary was 27 lakhs. I don't have any idea about the lowest salary; it may be around 12-15 lakhs. All big companies visit the campus, like Google, Microsoft, Adobe, D.E. Shaw, etc. The internship percentage will be around 30%-50%, but I don’t have specific figures.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good enough, with very fast Wi-Fi and good labs, but there is no AC in any classroom or some labs. Other facilities are decent, but the hostel is not so good in terms of infrastructure, like the quality of washrooms. There is also no washing machine in the hostel.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful if you study well and pay attention in class. They are well qualified and knowledgeable, but the quality of teaching is not so good. This is partly due to the students, as many don’t take an interest in the subjects, which causes teachers to lose interest in teaching as well.
Other: In the computer science course, the curriculum is not very industry-oriented. Additionally, the college doesn't provide enough funds for sports materials.

NIT Trichy faculty members are quite good, with good placement percentages in their respective bran
Placements: Approximately 90% to 95% of students got placed. The highest package is 42 LPA, and the average is 14 LPA. The lowest package is 4 LPA to 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Google, Facebook, Tata, Flipkart, Reliance, Ashok Leyland, BHEL, BEML, Anand Group, and many more. Almost 95% of students got internships. Top roles offered are supply chain manager, programmer, designer, mechanical works, etc.
Infrastructure: NIT Trichy has great infrastructure. Lecture hall and department building are constructed such that the building remains cool and clean, neat and clean. Seperate labs are available. Here is a central library in which all types of books regarding engineering, science, philosophy, physiology, etc., are available.
Faculty: Teachers are very kind and helpful. We can ask any doubts at any time during class hours, they solve them, also we can ask doubts directly through their department and webmail. Teachers hold Ph.D. and post-doctoral degrees. Students can work in industries after completing the course. Exams are moderate if we study daily we can easily pass and maintain a good CGPA. Almost all students pass.

Beautiful and humongous college.
Placements: Placements here are truly good as its top NIT, but we can't ignore the fact that circuital branches get a better package than non-circuital. About my course, around 97.6% of students got placed on campus and some got placed outside too. The highest package is 52.89 LPA, and the average package is 23 LPA.
Infrastructure: We have a building called Logos for lectures of freshers and a massive building for seniors. There is no Wi-Fi facility in lecture halls but we do have lawns in library. There are several labs which according to my opinion have top-notch facilities, for example, our computer labs have top computers of HP and massive internet speed. Hostels here are decent (maybe not very pleasant), and food here is not bad, and food complaints are taken very seriously. In a real-life incident, first-year students complained about their mess, within 3 days the caterers were changed and new caterers started serving.
Faculty: Professors here are helpful, mostly approachable, and eager to help. Most professors in ECE and EEE are said to be strict and make student's life difficult. The exams are CT1, CT2, and end-semesters, where the end-semesters have the most weightage. The CTs are easy, but the end-semester tests our depth of concepts and practice in solving questions.
Other: My course (ECE) is best if you don't get CSE. The best thing about my course is placements and the worst thing is the professors we have to go through. I think the course is perfectly fine but I guess maybe 3 exams make it a little hectic, midsems and end-sems are fine. But I have to say fests, events, and orientation are like none other, no competitors at all. Campus is situated in a little isolated and a little far from the city.

The placements are really good, along with the facilities.
Placements: 97+ percent of students got placed in Chemical Engineering from NIT Tiruchirappalli. The highest package is above 60 LPA, and the lowest is around 7-8 LPA. Top recruiting companies for B.Tech include Google, Microsoft, Oracle, and many more.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for all courses and departments, like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and library, are good. The hostel facilities are decent, neither very good nor very bad, and the quality of food available in the mess and canteen is okay. Medical facilities are also good.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, and their knowledge is very good due to their years of experience. The teaching quality of the professors is solid. There are two cycle tests and one end-semester exam per semester, with the pass percentage varying with the average.

Q:   Can I get NIT Trichy if I have less than 75 % in 12th boards but my home state is Tamil Nadu?

A:

Admission to the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Trichy is based on various factors, including your performance in the class 12th board exams and your score in a national-level entrance examination such as JEE Main. Having less than 75% in your class 12th board exams can affect your chances of getting admission to NIT Trichy, but it is not the only criterion that is considered. As you are from Tamil Nadu, you may have a higher chance of getting admission to NIT Trichy through the Tamil Nadu state quota, which gives preference to students who are residents of Tamil Nadu. However, this is subject to the availability of seats and the cutoff marks set by the institute, which can vary from year to year. It is important to note that the exact admission criteria and the process can change from year to year, so it is best to check the official website of NIT Trichy for the most up-to-date information.
