A college which we can enjoy our life to the fullest with vibrant festivals.
Placements: Currently I am pursuing second year in B.Tech. I heard from seniors that there are lot of opportunities in high tech companies all across India for those who have scored minimum percentile in their whole semester. Our college also have top recruiting companies like google wipro etc.
Infrastructure: There is Wi-Fi in the library. Also there are smart board and smart classes provided by the faculty members. Faculty members are also friendly. Also the hostel is around 3-4 stars and the hostel mess are also good which provide average South Indian foods and also we can play outdoor as well as indoor sports in the leisure hours.
Faculty: The teachers and faculty members here are very excellent and they are very understanding and caring. The curriculum is also very advanced making students after graduation very well made for the industry jobs. Semester exams are little bit tough we must score at least 50 percentile in the semester exam (CE+semester marks) .

I am satisfied with the education level provided here.
Placements: Around 60%-70% of the students from our college got placed with an average salary package of 3 LPA. TCS, Wipro, Honda and Tata companies visit here to recruit students for jobs. Almost 100% of the students do internships in industries and companies like IOCL, etc. Many students prefer to work with an IT company.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is excellent here, with Wi-Fi all over the campus. Our college has a library, and the classrooms are in good condition. The hostel is fine. The food served is also fine, and non-vegetarian is served on a daily basis. An ambulance is available 24x7 for hostel students, and there is free medication for college students in the hospital. There is a huge playground for sports, and a basketball court is available as well.
Faculty: Teachers here are very knowledgeable. Their teaching experience is also very nice. The course curriculum is also good. Semester exams are easy to moderate. You can pass exams by studying previous years questions and some notes. The passing percentage is 6.5 CGPA.
Other: I love mechanics, so I chose this course. Many extra events were organised here.

Our college is good at coaching and campus. It has very good placements, good infrastructure, etc.
Placements: At least 90% of the students who don't have backlogs have been placed in different top companies from our college. With our skills, we can easily get placed. IBM and Tata are the top companies which visit here for our course. Mostly about 95% of the students get internships in different companies from our college. This college has a very good campus view.
Infrastructure: Many facilities are available here like many hostels and canteens, grounds for all different sports activities and a gym for both genders. There are many labs and workshops, and this university has many clubs in which we can do many things. There is one library for university and one library for college. The quality of food served is good, but the hostel is not clean for boys.
Faculty: Teachers here are helpful. All teachers are highly qualified, and most of them are professors. The syllabus is comparatively very tough. The teaching quality is good, and the course curriculum is relevant. The exams are quite tough. The pass percentage is 35% of marks.
Other: I chose this course because I like automobiles and mechanics like we can learn more deeply about engines and mechanics. We like to improve the teaching quality in our course. Many events are held like art fest and tech fest. Our college has awesome campus surroundings. It is a huge campus.

Review of CUSAT - Cochin University of Science and Technology.
Placements: The placements at CUSAT are taken care of by the central placement office, also known as CPO. CPO is responsible for conducting placement drives for engineering, management, and other science departments. Every year, about 60-70% of the students get placed at least in one company, and around 30-40% of students got more than one offers. If I talk about mechanical engineering, then it is around 30-40% which includes core companies like Vedanta, MRF, Daikin, VKC, L&T, Godrej, CEAT, and a few more. The highest package in School of Engineering is around 27 LPA (CSE), whereas, in mechanical engineering, it is 8 LPA. The lowest package is 2.8 LPA. On average, in the mechanical engineering branch, the package is around Rs. 4 LPA. Few companies like CEAT and Daikin also take third-year students for internships and offer them PPOs at the end of the program. The percentage of people getting the internship is low (10-20%) as most of the students prepare for GATE, CAT, and other exams. The students getting placed in core companies are offered the role of GET, followed by the assistant manager in the coming years.
Infrastructure: The department of mechanical engineering has its own building, which is fully equipped with all the basic labs and classrooms. The classrooms are well connected with the LAN facility, smartboard, projector, and speakers. We have a library, where Wi-Fi is available, and all the course books are in sufficient quantity. One can issue up to 3 books per semester, which makes life easier. Now talking about hostels, it is similar to a typical government college hostel. Wooden chairs and tables make it look like an old palace. Hostels are double seater. Even though the hostels are available, students prefer to live off-campus. There are two categories of mess for North Indian food and South Indian food. One canteen is also present in School of Engineering premises. The best place to sit and eat is CUSAT Restaurant. There are a sufficient number of grounds to play all sorts of sports and an amenity centre which comprises of a stationery store, medical centre and gym.
Faculty: The faculty members in the department of mechanical engineering are very well-known experts in their fields. Almost 70% of the faculty have industrial experience, which helped us learn theoretical ways in the most practical manner. The head of the department at our time (2016-2020) encouraged us to participate and organise various co-curricular activities along with proper classes. In short, they were really helpful. Around 80% of the professors in our department hold a PhD degree from Indian Institute of Technology. The classes at School of Engineering are conducted for 6 hours a day for five days a week. This helped faculty members to cover the syllabus on time with two mid-semester exams. The syllabus is updated every three years to keep introducing new technologies. I remember machine learning and data science were introduced in our batch. This helped us to prepare well for placement interviews and also when we are working in industries. Overall, the curriculum is well-defined, regularly updated, and at-par with all the good institutions in India.
Other: I chose mechanical engineering at School of Engineering, CUSAT, as it offered more than just theoretical knowledge. Some student-run clubs were SAE, aerospace and robotics. I was in the core team of the aerospace club, and we got the chance to organise various workshops. One of the best things about studying mechanical engineering is that students are not only confined to mechanics and machines. With the introduction of AI, we can participate in all fields. There are certain improvements needed in the department such as organising practical exams rather than theoretical ones, giving students access to labs and workshops till late evenings so that they can try and learn on their own. At last, the fun part is that we had a lot of fests such as Dhishna, Talentime, Sargam, Vipanchika, and many more. We had at least one fest every semester. Apart from that, smaller celebrations like hostel fests, Onam, and Holi are also celebrated. The campus surrounded by greenery is located in the middle of Kochi City and well connected by bus, metro and cabs.
