MEC Kochi offers various courses in B.Tech and M.Tech. The minimum eligibility to get a seat in this college is 50% in 10th and 12th examinations from any board of education. Additionally the student has to appear and get a required cutoff ranks for particular branch they are selecting. There is mandatory of physics and mathematics in +2 level of education with more than 50% of marks.
In terms of placements, the college has maintained a decent track record. During 2022 placements, 416 offers were made in total. Earlier, the number of offers made in 2021 was 452. Model Engineering College (MEC) kochi offers 5 specialisation courses in MTech. The eligibility Criteria of Mtech at MEC are-
•Students should have Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering
•Students should have 60% marks in their graduation exams or 6.5 CGPA

The college releases cutoff ranks for the selection rounds until all the seats are allotted. MEC Kochi recent cutoff for the BTech courses is not available. In 2021, the KEAM closing rank was most competitive for CSE- 1117, followed by Electronics and Communication Engineering - 3292, and Electronics and Biomedical Engineering - 11430. The ranks mentioned here were for the General-All India category students.
MEC KOCHI offers various M.Tech courses. The student has to secure a minimum of 50% in their 10th and +2 examinations and 6.5 CGPA in the previous examination they appeared like B.Tech or any other degree. This college also offers the specialisations in that field. The candidate can join this college by appearing in GATE with a suitable cutoff score. The rank of the candidate secured in the GATE examination is important.
For now, Model Engineering College Kochi does not accepts JEE score. Candidates are offered seats in BTech based on KEAM score.
