Strong placements, supportive community, and a vibrant campus life.

Faculty: At Model Engineering College (MEC), Thrikkakara, the faculty are well-qualified, approachable, and supportive, making classes engaging and clearing doubts effective. The KTU-based curriculum blends theory and practical work, generally seen as relevant, though some feel it could be more industry-focused. Semester exams are of moderate to high difficulty, often drawing from previous years' papers, and can be managed with focused preparation. Pass percentage ranges from about 75% to 100%, varying b...

Good placements, small campus.

Faculty: All teachers are qualified and skilled. They are also helpful in career building. Semester exams are easy if you study well. It is not that tough to pass an exam if you study well. The pass percentage in MEC is high compared to other colleges.

Excellent college with placements and skill development but has some infrastructure constraints.

Faculty: Faculty members are really helpful. They are highly qualified. Most of the senior faculty members are Ph.D. holders. College is affiliated with KTU. Its curriculum is under KTU. Usually, the semester exams are medium to difficult range. But if you study atleast the PYQ thoroughly you can get through the exams. Our college has a pass percentage of almost 80%.

It's a good choice for college in Kochi.

Faculty: Exams and all are held strictly. No issues of strike and all due to a lack of political organizations within college premises. Faculty is okay, some good, some bad. Well, you can't expect highly dedicated teachers in a government organisation. KTU curriculum is kind. Have to study a lot of concepts ourselves.

Good college, but don't go for EEE.

Faculty: Teachers are good I would say. But the issue is that it's more about what teachers can even do. Each semester lasts for hardly 3 months, and how are teachers even supposed to teach everything. Another issue is that teachers are majorly strict here. 75% is kind of mandatory, and some teachers won't budge to help. Each course co-ordinator's major aim is for them to have great marks in their own subject even if its low credit one. So compared with CSE, you will have classes almost every day and mig...

No campus life but hope that placement is there.

Faculty: Teachers are more like friends. They are super chill yet extremely good at teaching their field of interest. The course curriculum is outdated but it has been updated for the upcoming students. Semester exams are a bit difficult. The pass percentage is kind of low.

It is a small campus with better placement.

Faculty: The teachers in the Mechanical Engineering branch are super chill. Most of the faculty members hold a Ph.D. They have really good knowledge in their field. However, the syllabus of the current batch is very outdated. The 2024 syllabus is updated and far better. Semester exams are moderately difficult, especially for the mechanical branch.

Is mec worth the hype or not?

Faculty: Faculty-to-student ratio is quite good, and faculty members are helpful and provide mentorship assistance. The curriculum is set by KTU, and it comprises 8 semesters, involving both academic and industry-focused topics. I think it's a great curriculum for industry-oriented topics, and exams range from moderate to hard on the level of difficulty. MEC also has a pass percentage of 78%, which is top 3 in Kerala.

Nice college life with good and lots of memories and happily satisfied.

Faculty: Speaking about my department it is a good one. Faculty members are great in teaching and also they are good to students. Other than teachers many of them are like friends. Course is pretty interesting and is difficult in the 2nd year. It has a good pass percentage.

The college infrastructure is not good enough. Facilities and placements are very satisfactory.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is not good enough. There is a lot to improve. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students ready for the industry. Semester exams are good. The pass percentage of students is 75%.

Even though the infrastructure is not up to the mark. The placements in MEC are worth joining.

Faculty: Teachers are very kind and helpful. Most of them clear the doubts of students without much hesitation. Most of them are highly qualified and some are doctorate holders. Still, some theory classes may feel boring. The last semester exam I faced was a bit challenging but still, it was okay. MEC is one of the top-ranking colleges with a very high pass percentage.

It is a small campus, only placement is good.

Faculty: Faculty members in Mechanical Engineering are super chill. They are friendly and approachable. Most of them have doctorates and are highly professional. The course curriculum is outdated and has lots of unnecessary stuff in it. Semester exams are difficult, one needs to study hard to score really good marks.

Absolutely satisfied because of the excellent placement, faculty and infrastructure.

Faculty: We have a well-set faculty team which includes well-trained professors. They are always approachable and ready to clear doubts anytime. They are very much supportive. They make the campus a home place. We can interact with them like our family members. They help us for better learning and development.

Model Engineering college .

Faculty: Faculty and teachers are really supportive. They help in bringing placements to the college. The course, however, doesn't make students industry-ready. We need to learn skills by putting in our own efforts. Semester exams are a little bit difficult. However, pass percentages are not that low.

It is my luck that I got admission in MEC.

Faculty: Teaching quality and teachers were so nice. Teaching quality is good. It's better if they provide notes for each subject, which will be helpful during exam time, as KTU notes are not available for this course. Semester exams were good, but the time span of each semester is too short, which makes students struggle to study.
