For now, Model Engineering College Kochi does not accepts JEE score. Candidates are offered seats in BTech based on KEAM score. Allotment to 95% (50% merit- regulated fees and 45%- full fees) seats is made by the Commissioner for Entrance Examination (CEE), Government of Kerala. Once shortlisted, candidates need to pay the course fee to confirm their seat in the college.

The admission to the B.Tech course is based on the rank obtained in the Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination (KEAM) conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE), Kerala. Allotment to 95% seats of the annual intake is made by the Commissioner for Entrance Examination (CEE), Government of Kerala from the rank list of Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination conducted every year by Government of Kerala. The overall cutoff rank for KEAM is 1562-25516 rank. The minimum eligibility for taking admission in Model Engineering College is 50% in 10+2 examination.

MEC Kochi does not offer direct admission. Candidates need to follow certain steps to join the college. Starting with fill out the application form for the preferred course. The selection for BTech programme Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination conducted every year by Government of Kerala. Besides, admission to M.Tech course is based on GATE score. Once selected, candidates need to participate in counselling and seat allotment.

MEC Kochi offers various courses in B.Tech and M.Tech. The minimum eligibility to get a seat in this college is 50% in 10^th and 12^th examinations from any board of education. Additionally the student has to appear and get a required cutoff ranks for particular branch they are selecting. There is mandatory of physics and mathematics in +2 level of education with more than 50% of marks.

Model Engineering College offers four UG courses in Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electronics & Biomedical Engineering and Electrical & Electronics Engineering and three PG courses, namely VLSI Design & Embedded Engineering, Computer Science Engineering in Data Science, Mechanical with Energy Management in affiliation with AKTU.

The top course for MEC Kochi is CSE. Because the placement record is the best here. And the faculty is good compared to other universities. You get a better chance to show your out field with a technical field.

The CGPA at Model Engineering College Thrikkakara Kochi calculated as follows:Each course in the curriculum has a certain number of credits assigned to it, depending on the contact hours, theory, practical, etc. The total number of credits for a B.Tech course is 180 and for an M.Tech course is 64. In 2023, MEC Kochi has been ranked #37 by India Today in the Engineering category. No recent ranking data is available for the college. However, in 2021, NIRF ranked it #279. It was also among the top six NIRF-Ranked colleges in Kerala in 2021.

I will refer TKM if the candidate is really interested in CGPA in semester examination and also wants a good campus life which includes fests various events parties. TKM gives the best campus life as compared to MEC.

While in MEC, the course curriculum is completely based on skill development and improving personality. They also provide guidance in placement selection. MEC provides a great environment to study and the staff were cooperative and got high competition on improving skills.
