IIT Guwahati has activated the GATE 2026 application form correction window at gate2026.iitg.ac.in for those candidates whose applications are marked as provisional or marked as defect. Check details about link, release date, steps to edit or make changes, fees to pay, and more.

GATE 2026 Application Correction Process: IIT Guwahati has CLOSED GATE 2026 correction facility at gate2026.iitg.ac.in for those candidates whose applicantion form are marked as defect or are provisionally accepted. The last date to submit corrections was March 15 (extended). Read below to check details about link, release date, steps to edit or make changes, fees to pay, and more. 

GATE Application Form Correction Window

GATE 2026 application form correction facility is closed. The correction window has started only for those candidates whose application form is marked as defect or were provisionally accepted. All such candidates have recieved email for rectification of error. To make the required changes, candidates have to login at GOAPS portal at goaps.iitg.ac.in. 

The regular form correction facility was opened on October 28 and the last date to make changes in the GATE application form 2026 was November 10. During this phase, candidates were given chance to rectify their details in GATE registration form 2026. The GATE 2026 exam was held on February 7, 8, 14, and 15. Candidates can find the direct link below to apply.

How to Edit GATE 2026 Exam Form during the correction process?

Candidates can access the GATE 2026 form correction facility online. The steps to edit their GATE 2026 registration form can be checked below -

  • Visit the GATE’s 2026 official website
  • Click on application portal and log in using enrollment ID and password
  • After logging candidates can find the correction link on the dashboard
  • Click on details that one wants to change
  • Pay the fees and submit
  • Take printout for future reference

Q:   Who is eligible for GATE exam?
A: 

Applicant's registration will not be accepted if GATE eligibility criteria is not fulfilled by the applicant. As per the GATE rules and criteria conditions -

  • Candidates must be studying in 3rd year or final year, or must have passed their graduation degree.
  • There is no attempt limit to apply for GATE exam
  • Also, there is no age restrictions to apply for GATE. 

Candidates must check the GATE eligibility details carefully before applying. 

Q:   What is the GATE 2026 admit card release date?

GATE 2026 admit card release date was January 13, 2026. The hall ticket is now available for download at GATE official website. Candidates whose application has been accepted can download their hall ticket at GOAPS portal. 

Q:   When will IIT Guwahati start the GATE 2026 registration process?
A: 

IIT Guwahati has started the GATE 2026 registration process on August 28. The application form facility is open at the GOAPS portal. The deadline has been revised. As per the latest update, candidates who want to apply for GATE can check the dates and submit as per their convenience. The last date to submit the application form without late fees is October 6 (revised) and till October 9 with late fees. 

Q:   Who is the GATE 2026 topper of CSE branch?
A: 

The GATE 2026 topper will be released after the declaration of result. The authorities will publish the topper's list (AIR 1 ) of all 30 subjects. 

Last year, Rahul Kumar Singh was the GATE CS topper scoring full marks in GATE 2025.
