KEAM 2024 Rank List Preparation for Engineering
The KEAM 2024 rank list for engineering admission is prepared by combining the normalized score from the KEAM 2024 Entrance Examination for Engineering and the standardized marks obtained in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry (or relevant subjects) of the final year of the qualifying examination. Both scores will be given equal weightage (50:50).
KEAM normalized score is calculated out of 300 and added to the total standardized marks from Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry/Computer Science/Biotechnology/Biology, also computed out of 300. Both scores are adjusted to four decimal places. The rank list for Engineering Courses will be based on the total marks out of an Index mark of 600.
In case the computer/mouse allotted to any candidate malfunctions anytime during the KEAM CBT, they will be immediately allotted another computer system and the time lost due to this will be adjusted in the server so as to give the candidate the full allotted time. Use of keyboard during the exam is strictly not allowed in KEAM exam. Wherever use of keyboard is needed, a virtual keyboard appearing on the computer screen can be used.
KEAM 2026 exam time is from 2 pm to 5 pm. The exam will be held for 3 hours in computer based test mode.
Yes. You will get additional paper for rough in the KEAM examination hall. You must write your Roll Number and Name at the top of the paper and put your signature. This sheet should be returned to the Invigilator at the end of the exam.
For KEAM 2024 Engineering ranking marks obtained in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry will be considered
If a student has not studied Chemistry, marks obtained in Computer Science will be considered instead. If neither Chemistry nor Computer Science has been studied, then the marks obtained in Biotechnology will be considered. If a candidate has not studied Chemistry, Computer Science, and Biotechnology, then marks obtained in Biology will be considered for ranking purposes.
Students qualifying exam marks in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry / Computer Science / Biotechnology / Biology will be transformed to a scale out of 100. The transformed marks will be computed to a total of 300. After standardization is applied to each subject. The standardization process will adjust the marks of each student relative to statistical measures such as the Global Mean and Global Standard Deviation.
Tie Breaking for KEAM 2024 Engineering Rank List
In the case of a tie in the total index marks computed after integrating the total normalized score of the entrance examination with the total standardized score for the preparation of the KEAM 2024 engineering rank, then
- Candidates with a higher pre-normalized score in Mathematics in KEAM will be placed higher in the ranking.
- If the tie still exists, the candidate with a higher pre-normalized score in Physics of the KEAM Entrance Examination will be placed higher in the ranking.
- If there is still a tie, a candidate with higher standardized mark in Mathematics in the final year of the qualifying examination will be placed higher in the ranking.
- If the tie persists, the candidate with higher standardized mark in Physics in the final year of the qualifying examination will be placed higher in the ranking.
- If the tie is still not resolved, the candidate with a correct higher number of responses in Mathematics will be considered.
- If the tie persists candidate with the correct higher number of responses in Physics will be considered.
- If there is still a tie, the age of the candidate will be considered, and the older will be placed higher in the ranking.
- In case the tie remains, the decision of CEE will be final.
