No, under scrutiny, means that the authorities have received your application form and currently verifying the details. If there is some discrepancy, then you will be notified on your registered details.

 What is the meaning of “GATE 2026 Application Under Scrutiny”?

After submission of application form, students can check their status at candidate login page. The GATE application under scrutiny states that your application status. During this stage, authorities will cross-check all the information given by applicants, such as personal, educational qualifications, photo, signature, etc. 

The verification authorities will check whether the GATE documents are uploaded as per the specifications prescribed. It must be noted that under scrutiny does not necessarily mean that your GATE 2026 registration form is rejected. It states that it is under the process of verification. 

How to Check GATE 2026 Application Form Status?

Once form is submitted, candidates can check their GATE application status at the GOAPS 2026. The login credentials required are enrollment ID and password. Incase, there is any defect in the form, then the authorities will send a mail of your registered email ID and mobile number mentioning the issue. 

Students must submit their form in the correct format within the deadline provided. Usually, three days are provided to send the rectified GATE 2026 application form.

• If there is an issue regarding photo/signature - upload the correct one (following the specifications)
• If there is any issue, with information provided, recheck all the details and confirm
• Go through the details and submit GATE application form 2026. 
• If all details are correct, then status will be changed from “under scrutiny” to “accepted”

GATE 2026 Correction Facility Window Start Date

IIT Guwahati has closed GATE 2026 form correction process at GOAPS portal. The last date to make changes was November 10. Check complete details here at GATE 2026 rectification window. Later, authorities had reopened GATE correction window for one day on November 18 giving last chance to rectify particulars.

During this process -

• You can add or remove subject papers (GATE two paper combination)
• You can change your name, date of birth, exam centre, gender, etc.
