What is the meaning of “GATE 2026 Application Under Scrutiny”?
After submission of application form, students can check their status at candidate login page. The GATE application under scrutiny states that your application status. During this stage, authorities will cross-check all the information given by applicants, such as personal, educational qualifications, photo, signature, etc.
The verification authorities will check whether the GATE documents are uploaded as per the specifications prescribed. It must be noted that under scrutiny does not necessarily mean that your GATE 2026 registration form is rejected. It states that it is under the process of verification.

Candidates can choose at least three exam centres while filling their GATE 2026 application form. The list of GATE exam cities (zone-wise) is available on the website. Aspirants with GATE scores can get admission in M.Tech programme at IIIT Pune. The seats are allotted via CCMT Counselling. In 2025, the closing GATE cutoff was 354 for Electronics & Communication Engineering and 536 for CSE. The cutoffs are quite competitive considering the limited seats available
