Review of IIT Delhi - Indian Institute of Technology.
Placements: A super percentage of students get placed in my college. The highest package offered to core students is more than 20 LPA and the lowest package ranges from 2-5 LPA. Students from this course got internships in companies like PayPal and Visa.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure present in my course are so good. Wi-Fi, classrooms, library, and all things are available for students. The canteen food is so good for health. Medical facilities are available. Sports and games are not available in my course.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful in my college. They all are very knowledgeable. They have great teaching qualities. The course curriculum is not relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams in my course are very difficult. The pass percentage is 90%.
Other: I chose this course to get good knowledge. Nothing should be improved. Scholarships are present in this course. The campus crowd is very high.

IIT Delhi is having boon and bane.
Placements: I am currently in my first year, so I haven't experienced any placement or internship activities other than volunteering at OCS (Office of Career Services). I have just seen my seniors getting placements and internships, and I have inquired with them about it. As far as I know, most students who sit for placements get placed, with around 90% placement. In textile technology, most people do not go for core jobs but rather prefer tech jobs or consulting jobs, as core jobs are not much.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the LHC (lecture hall complex), library, and Dogra Hall is quite appreciable. Classrooms in LHC are very good, fully air-conditioned, and have high-speed Wi-Fi. However, the hostel facilities are quite different from facilities in the institute. The hostel has triple-sharing rooms, which are quite congested. Buildings are very old, so maintenance is going on regularly. The mess is just awful. The food is barely bearable, and you can't trust it. I have to ask my parents for money to have good food that is eatable. When I am low on money, then only I eat from the mess.
Faculty: I am not questioning teachers. They are quite knowledgeable of course and very much better than me, but students don’t understand what is being taught in class. They only go to classes due to 75% attendance. I feel that teachers in my coaching for JEE were not as qualified as professors here, but they knew how to teach, so students have an interest maintained. The curriculum has gone obsolete, it has no real-life applications, and one has to do an online course or learn from YouTube to get a job. The difficulty of exams matters to the professor.
Other: At my rank in JEE Advanced, I was getting either Textile at IIT Delhi or Environmental at IIT Bombay. Because my hometown is Delhi, I chose IIT Delhi. Also, it is top-ranked among all IITs. I wish the course were designed to have some real-life applications. Now, it is just a thing to do, and you have nothing to learn from it. Fests are humongous, crazy, happening, and quite interesting. The extracurricular activities are many in number. One can do whatever he or she likes to dance, Spic Macay, and so whatnot. All sports are there, like hockey, aquatics, and water polo.

IIT Delhi: The average college in India.
Placements: IIT Delhi has a strong placement record for Textile Engineering students. About 80% of students secure jobs through campus placements. The placement cell works with top recruiters to provide students with valuable preparation resources and support.
Infrastructure: IIT Delhi's hostel infrastructure is in dire need of an upgrade. Many of the hostels are over 60 years old, and have seen minimal renovation or upgrades in recent years. A modern update would greatly improve the overall living experience. The IITD hospital also has its limitations, with a shortage of well-qualified doctors and outdated facilities. This can make it challenging for students to receive quality medical care on campus. On a positive note, the library stands out as a valuable resource, offering a well-organized, quiet space for study, with a wide range of academic resources and materials that effectively support the academic needs of students.
Faculty: IIT Delhi's Textile Engineering department has highly qualified, knowledgeable, and committed professors. They make complex topics understandable and help students develop technical skills and analytical thinking. However, the administration, including certain deans and the academic body, can be difficult to deal with. Their strict policies and rigid grading practices can be stressful and affect students' CGPA outcome. Students may feel that there is less flexibility and support for their well-being and academic growth.

The best college in every aspect.
Placements: Right now there are a total of 126 students enrolled in our batch. As far as I know, the highest package is 32 LPA and the lowest is 10 LPA. The dream companies of our department are HUL, ITC, BCG, and McKinsey. Role offered to our senior include product manager. The best thing is almost all the students get placed every year.
Infrastructure: Our hostels provide almost everything including library, gym, TV room, and Wi-Fi. Food is quite decent here, they regularly change the menu. Our campus also has a hospital where we get free checkups and medicine. Huge grounds are there for football, hockey, and basketball.
Faculty: They teach very relevant topics like the mechanism of fluid flow, CRE, mass transfers, and heat transfers. They are bad in terms of good grades. They give A only to 8-9 students and sometimes 2-4 students depending on professors. There is no restriction on taking other department courses like many students have taken COL106, which is absolutely for CS folks.
Other: RDV is the best fest in North India. Every club has its fest like NSS conducts Kaizen and similarly lit club has its own.

IIT Delhi is the best college.
Placements: Around 90% of students got placed in good companies out of those who want to be placed. The lowest package offered last year for students was 10 LPA. The highest package is 3.2 LPA. The average package at IIT Delhi this year is 20 LPA. Companies like Microsoft, Reliance, TCS, Google, IBM, etc., visit here for placements.
Infrastructure: Our college provides us with a computer service center, which is connected to world-class internet connections. There are decent lecture halls and brilliant labs with machinery, a chemistry lab, an electrical lab, etc. The central library is full of students preparing for IAS, IPS, IES, and government. Examination aspirations throughout the year include a complete Wi-Fi zone on the whole campus. The mess and night canteens of every hostel are just sufficient to eat. Sports at our college are very great. It has hospital facilities and for serious injuries, AIIMS is also there for us.
Faculty: Some teachers are very helpful while some of the professors are just here to show their power or dominance in front of B.Tech students. The grading system of my college is not a great deal for those students who just do not get their expected grades by only 5 or 1 mark. Semester exams are much more difficult than the quizzes and labs that happen frequently.
Other: I have a personal interest in Physics so I chose this course and I made the right decision by choosing this college. Practical labs are very good and there is a lot to learn. Fests and events are also organised by students to refresh their minds and to have fun.

Absolutely dissatisfied.
Placements: Placement Percentage: 85% of students were placed. Salary Packages: Highest: 35 LPA Lowest: 6 LPA Average: 12 LPA Top Recruiting Companies: Tata Steel, Larsen & Toubro, Bosch, Maruti Suzuki, and Mahindra. Internship Stats: 70% secured internships in companies like ISRO, BHEL, DRDO, and Tata Motors. Top Roles Offered: Operations Manager, Supply Chain Analyst, Quality Engineer, and Manufacturing Consultant. Negative Aspects of Production and Industrial at IIT Delhi (fictional): Limited focus on modern technologies, outdated curriculum in parts, and fewer research opportunities compared to CS or ECE. Students often find the coursework theoretical with less industry-aligned practical exposure.
Infrastructure: Facilities and Infrastructure for the Course/Department: Wi-Fi: High-speed campus-wide Wi-Fi access, including in classrooms and labs. Labs: Well-equipped labs with modern machinery for manufacturing, CAD/CAM, automation, and quality control. Classrooms: Smart classrooms with projectors, air-conditioning, and ergonomic seating. Library: A central library with a vast collection of course materials, research papers, and digital resources. Hostel and Campus Facilities: Hostel Quality: Decent rooms with good ventilation, regular cleaning, and Wi-Fi connectivity. Mess and Canteen: Mess food is average with a mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, though repetitive. Canteens offer better variety and taste but at a higher cost. Medical Facilities: A 24/7 health center with doctors on call, a pharmacy, and ambulance services. Sports and Games: State-of-the-art sports complexes for indoor and outdoor games, including cricket, football, badminton, gymnasium, and swimming pool.
Faculty: Teaching Quality: While the teachers are qualified and knowledgeable, many fail to engage students effectively. Some rely on outdated teaching methods, making lectures monotonous and theoretical, with limited practical insights. Course Curriculum: The curriculum lacks updates to align with industry demands, focusing heavily on traditional topics. Emerging technologies like AI, IoT, and sustainability are either missing or poorly integrated, leaving students underprepared for modern industrial roles. Semester Exams: Exams are moderately difficult, but the focus is more on rote learning than critical thinking or problem-solving. This approach often frustrates students who aim for industry-relevant skills. The pass percentage hovers around 85%, with many barely scraping through due to poorly designed assessments.
Other: That was the best course I was getting. I am trying to change course. Initially, events were good. The fest was boring, tbh. Regarding campus crowd, you will find many people of different types. Just choose the correct peer group. Campus surroundings (air is polluted). Scholarship is only for those with income less than 5 Lacs. Extracurricular activities are only for CV. If you are not good, you won't be selected.

Q:   Can you do MTech from IIT Delhi?
A:

Yes, an MTech course is available at IIT Delhi. It is one of the popular programmes offered by the institute. The duration of this PG-level course is two years and it is divided into four semesters.
