IIT Delhi BTech Cut off Trends: 2019 Vs 2020 Vs 2021

In the graphs given below, the closing ranks of 2021 for BTech specialisations are compared with closing ranks of 2020 and 2019 for General category (Gender Neutral) candidates. Candidates must note that the decreasing trend implies an increased level of competition. On the contrary, an increasing trend implies lesser competitive ranks.

IIT Delhi BTech Cut off Trend: Fluctuating

With the release of 2021 R6 cutoff data for BTech programme, most of the specialisations, including, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering (Power & Automation), Engineering Physics, Mathematics and Computing and Production and Industrial Engineering offered by the institute have exhibited a fluctuating trend. The cutoffs mostly improved in 2020, however then declined in 2021 for the top specialisations. Candidates can check out the below graph to analyse the trend over the past three years:

IIT Delhi BTech Cut off 2021

IIT Delhi BTech Cut off Trend: Declining

The remaining BTech specialisations, including Biotechnology & Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering have exhibited a deteriorating cut off trend over the past three years. As per the analysis, in 2021, the cutoffs have declined in the range of 100-200 ranks for these specialisations in comparison to 2020 cutoffs. For more details, refer to the below graph representing the cut off data of the past three years:

IIT Delhi BTech Cut off 2021

I highly recommend everyone to take adm in IIT Delhi if he/she cross IIT Delhi cutoff.

Placements: Around 85-90% student get placed in my branch. Actually those student who sit in placement get placed, rest go for master or higher studies. Average package of this branch is 16 lpa+. Those student having CGPA 8+ are easily getting internship,7 pointer also got internship.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi available all over the campus. Computer lab available with full of AC and 500mps Wi-Fi speed. Library is open for 24hrs. There is two boys in a single room (perhaps it become personal from 3rd year). Quality of food is we...

Top recruiting companies are Hindustan Unilever and Piramel. 50% percent students got internship in companies like HUL and piramel. Research engineer, product engineer etc. Are some of the roles offered in my course.

IIT Delhi Biotechnology is an emerging branch.

Placements: Almost everyone who opts for placement is placed in sectors ranging from core to non-core, from consulting and finances to the technical and analytics. Many students opt for higher studies and most get admissions at top universities in and around the world like the Ivies. The startup culture is also making its way with 4 startups from the 2019 batch of biotechnology alone. The highest salary package offered is around 30 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is around 5 LPA-6 LPA. The average...

Placements: Nearly all the students who want placement got placed if qualified. The packages range from 7-80 LPA, but it is subjective over the years. Microsoft comes here. Nearly all the students get placed. Mostly, the roles of programmers, developers, etc., are offered, but some also go for analytics and finance.

To get admitted into any Iims or any Top MBA colleges in India, the minimum CAT 2022 cutoff is expected to be 90 percentile. Those who secured the 99+ percentile can apply to top Iims like IIM Bangalore, IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Lucknow, IIM Calcutta, and IIM Kozhikode. Hope it helps.

CAT score above 95 percentile. The best Iims, call students when they have their percentile above 90% or 95%. You have a good academic background so you just need to score your best in CAT rest there is a fair chance that you will get in.
