Official JEE Mains 2022 Question Papers by NTA
NTA has released the official JEE Main question papers 2022. The question papers have been released online on the official website of JEE Main 2022 jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates need to login through their application number and date of birth to download the question papers. Along with the JEE Main 2022 June question papers, NTA also released the answer key and candidate response sheets.

There are two question types in JEE Main exam. Multiple choice questions and numerical ability questions. In MCQ, every question has 4 options with only 1 correct answer. Select the correct option. In numerical ability question type, no options are there. Solve them and write answer using keyword and mouse.
Paper 1 has 75 questions where Physics Chemistry and Mathematics, each section has 25 questions. Out of 25 questions, 20 are MCQs and five are numerical value questions. You must answer all 5 numerical value-type questions. All 20 multiple-choice questions are compulsory. Complete all 75 questions in 3 hours.
Chapterwise weightage of class 11 and 12 topics in JEE Main are mentioned below:
- Physics: Current Electricity Waves AC, Magnetism, Laws of Motion Work, Power and Energy.
- Chemistry the high weightage topics are s and p block elements, Coordination compounds, Thermodynamics Gaseous state, Chemical bonding, Atomic structure, Polymers, Environmental Chemistry Organic Chemistry.
- Mathematics, the high weightage topics are Sequence and Series Vectors and 3D, Integral and Differential Calculus, Definite and Indefinite Integral.
NO, it is compulsory to attempt all questions in the JEE Main exam. The JEE Main exam has negative marking and candidates must answer only those questions for which they know the correct answer. Students must note that there are no minimum marks in JEE Main that students need to score. Students gets All India Rank based on the marks they secure in exam and gets admission based on that rank.

Yes, JEE Main exam has negative marking. 1 mark is deducted for every incorrect answer.
JEE Main counselling do have the provision of mock seat allotment. JoSAA will conduct a total of two rounds mock seat allotment where candidates can check which college they get based on the choice filled by them. Candidates after registering for the counselling have to enter their preferred choice of college and branch in the order of preference. The allotment of seats will be made on the basis of All India Rank and choices filled by the candidate.
Candidates should take JEE Main mock tests at least once a week. However, in the last month before exam, frequency should be increased to 3 to 4 mock exam per week.
JEE Main question paper is in English, Hindi and language selected when you filled application form. In total, JEE Main is in 13 languages and you can select any language out of available options. You cannot switch language of question paper during exam.

JEE Main 2026 exam pattern has been released by the NTA. As per exam pattern, the JEE Main Paper 1 (BE/B.Tech) exam will consist of 75 questions, 25 each from Physics Chemistry and Mathematics. Out of 25 questions, 20 will be MCQs and 5 will be NAV. Students need to answer all 75 questions. JEE Main paper 2A for B.Arch consists of 77 questions of which 25 are from Mathematics, 50 from General Aptitude and 2 from Drawing. In Paper 2B for BPlan total questions are 100 of which 25 are from Mathematics, 50 from General Aptitude and 25 from Planning.
The question paper will have no internal choices within questions and total duration of exam is 3 hours.

Candidates can use the answer key of JEE Main to calculate their scores in the exam until the results are announced. To follow the scores, follow the steps given below:
- Open the answer key PDF
- Check questions with the correct answers and incorrect answers
- Calculate scores of the correct answers and incorrect answers
- Subtract scores of incorrect answers with correct answers to get the actual scores
