Official JEE Mains 2022 Question Papers by NTA
NTA has released the official JEE Main question papers 2022. The question papers have been released online on the official website of JEE Main 2022 jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates need to login through their application number and date of birth to download the question papers. Paper 1 has 75 questions where Physics Chemistry and Mathematics, each section has 25 questions. Out of 25 questions, 20 are MCQs and five are numerical value questions. You must answer all 5 numerical value-type questions. All 20 multiple-choice questions are compulsory. Complete all 75 questions in 3 hours.
NO, it is compulsory to attempt all questions in the JEE Main exam. The JEE Main exam has negative marking and candidates must answer only those questions for which they know the correct answer. Students must note that there are no minimum marks in JEE Main that students need to score. Students gets All India Rank based on the marks they secure in exam and gets admission based on that rank.
How to Use JEE Main 2022 Answer Key for Calculating Scores
Candidates can use the answer key of JEE Main to calculate their scores in the exam until the results are announced. To follow the scores, follow the steps given below:
- Open the answer key PDF
- Check questions with the correct answers and incorrect answers
- Calculate scores of the correct answers and incorrect answers
- Subtract scores of incorrect answers with correct answers to get the actual scores
Candidates must note that the scores obtained from answers of memory-based question papers are not actual but expected. The actual scores will be notified only through JEE Main result released by the NTA.
Chapterwise weightage of class 11 and 12 topics in JEE Main are mentioned below:
- Physics: Current Electricity Waves AC, Magnetism, Laws of Motion Work, Power and Energy.
- Chemistry the high weightage topics are s and p block elements, Coordination compounds, Thermodynamics Gaseous state, Chemical bonding, Atomic structure, Polymers, Environmental Chemistry Organic Chemistry.
- Mathematics, the high weightage topics are Sequence and Series Vectors and 3D, Integral and Differential Calculus, Definite and Indefinite Integral.
Students who are preparing for JEE Main exam are advised to first cover the entire JEE Main syllabus. Covering only the high weightage chapters would decrease their chances of getting full/high score in JEE Main exam. Only after covering the entire syllabus, students can check most important chapters for JEE Mains.
As per the sequence of subject/section in JEE Main, Mathematics is the first section followed by Physics and Chemistry. However, students have the option of appearing questions from any section based on their preference. During the actual exam, students are provided the instructions on the computer screen to navigate between one section to other. Students also have the option to skip the next question without appearing the current as well as moving back to the previous question. To better understand the qustion paper, students can check the official JEE Main exam pattern mentioned in the NTA portal.
JEE Main 2022 Result
National Testing Agency has released the result of JEE Main 2022. Results were announced online on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. JEE Main result 2022 mentions the percentile scores of candidates for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and aggregate scores. The All India Ranks of candidates is also mentioned in the result of the July session exam.
