B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering - Batch of 2027
4.4

Really good infrastructure and college life.
Placements: The placements are good in circuit branches but the placements for all other branches are not that good. The top recruiting companies are Reliance, Honeywell, etc. Some students also go for government jobs or for higher studies after this.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure here is quite good and the labs are also well-equipped. The lab staff is also quite good the hostel's facilities are also good Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus, the mess food is also decent and night mess is also available.
Faculty: The teachers are quite knowledgeable but not all of them teach well. The course curriculum is relevant to the industry, which makes the students industry ready but the semester exams are quite tough and the grading that is done by the professors is also tough.

B.Tech. in Textile Technology - Batch of 2028
4.2
5Placements3Infrastructure4Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
The college life of an IIT Delhi.
Placements: 80% of the students from the textile department were placed, which made up an AVG package of 19LPA but no one was placed in the core sector. All the students were placed in the teaching sector. Amazon and Goldman Sachs were the top recruiters. The highest package from textiles was 31 LPA.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi speed is excellent. The food is good, but not great. The medical facilities are excellent. The rooms don't have air conditioning. Only the common rooms in the hostels have air conditioning. B.Tech students don't get air conditioning in their rooms, but M.Tech students get centralized air conditioning. The menu is good, and the drinking water is good.
Faculty: IIT Delhi has pretty good professors who are very knowledgeable and to the point. However, the course curriculum is not relevant for placements. If you want to get placed, you need to go into the teaching sector. Also, the grading system for semester exams at IIT Delhi is much tougher than the grading systems of other colleges.
Other: The fests like Rezvendous and Tryst are the best in the whole nation. The crowd is pretty good, and the alumni network is very good. The startup culture is really good too, which makes for excellent overall growth.

B.Tech. in Mathematics and Computing Engineering - Batch of 2024
2.8

Absolutely dissatisfied with the course curriculum of mathematics and computing department at IIT D.
Placements: The highest package would be around 2 CR, which is PPO. And the lowest, I would say, CTC is 8 lpa. I'm in the mathematics and computing branch at IIT Delhi, so I would say that till the 4th day, almost 50% were placed and till the 10th, 75%. As per the recession, it's quite okay for me. But in normal situations, it could have been way better. Top companies like Graviton, NVidia, Google, Microsoft and many more. The top two roles were software and data analysts.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available in my department are quite good, as per need. We have proper classes in the lecture hall and have Wi-Fi access at all locations on campus. Also, library hours are nice. And we have 24*7 access to the library at times of examination. Mess food quality is okay, not worse and not good. I'm in the Himadri Hostel. The canteen is okay too and medical facilities are also okay. The same goes for sports and games.
Faculty: Average teaching quality was very nice and some professors connected really well with us and conveyed concepts but we have some not-so-good professors too who aren't interested in average students and focused only on tips, which is not quite a good strategy. The course curriculum for my branch could be made more structured and flexible. Semester exams are difficult; it depends on the professor taking the course but overall, if you have prepared for the whole semester, it's easy and if you only do them two days before exams, it's going to be tough.
Other: I wanted to be in only the top IITs, so I took the most valuable branch I could get, which is mathematics and computing, at IIT Delhi. The best thing is that you are going to get placed even if you are putting in very little effort. To be improved would be its curriculum and the way of teaching. Extracurricular activities were excellent at IIT Delhi, but they have declined in recent years.

M.Tech. in Environmental Engineering and Management - Batch of 2022
3.8
4Placements3Infrastructure5Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
Nice experience here I like this college very much.
Placements: At IIM Kozhikode, placements for students in their final year commence in the second year. There are about 120 companies participating, some of which are consulting giants like BCG, Bain, and Accenture Strategy. Leading companies from BFSI (Goldman Sachs, Citibank), FMCG (Nestlé, HUL), IT (Amazon, Microsoft), etc., visit regularly. The highest package that was offered was INR 67 LPA, while the average package stood at INR 31 LPA.
Infrastructure: The hostel rooms are equipped with basic amenities such as a B.Ed study table, chair, wardrobe, and an attached bathroom. For girls, there are either single occupancy rooms with no AC or shared rooms with three members per room with AC. The hostel rooms are allocated randomly. The quality of food in the mess is very healthy and nutritious, and the food tastes delicious. The menu changes every week. They provide many facilities like Wi-Fi, 24/7 water, electricity, and more. In the hostel building, there is a big, well-equipped gym, which I like the most. Outside the college, there are two grounds and a garden.
Faculty: The syllabus is industry-oriented and includes a scope for research. One of the main parts of the course is a one-year-long project, which carries the most credit. It is research-driven, and the topics selected are mostly research-based. The lab facilities available are very good, with well-knowledgeable staff. It has supported me in gaining a job through campus placement. Good placement training is also provided. There are 30 staff members in my department with an average age of 45. Nearly 10 of them hold a Ph.D., and the rest have completed their post-graduation from reputed universities and IITs. Most of the lecturers have industrial experience. They are effective in providing clarity about the subjects. Exams here are very hard, but if you attend the lectures, you can easily score good marks. Class Size: 70 Course Fee: 190,000

Review of IT Delhi by a student studying in IIT Delhi.
Placements: 80 percent of students were placed in my batch. The highest package offered was around 35 LPA, and the lowest was 9 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Larsen & Toubro and Tata. About 25% of students secured internships in both tech and core sectors. In the tech sector, most students were placed in companies like Google and JP Morgan. In the core sector, students were placed in Larsen & Toubro.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are air-conditioned with full Wi-Fi coverage throughout the campus. The hostel has good facilities, and the mess provides very nutritious food. There are various sports options available, including badminton, table tennis, football, basketball, and cricket. The campus also has a hospital providing emergency services 24/7.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified, with degrees from various foreign universities, and they are very knowledgeable. The teaching quality is very good. The course curriculum is relevant and meets industry demands. Semester exams are a mix of easy, medium, and hard questions, and the passing percentage is generally around 30%.
Other: I chose this course because it provides options for both government and private sector careers. The best aspect of the course is the high package potential after 10 to 15 years of experience. If I were to improve something about my course, it would be to focus more on industry-relevant skills. The events conducted are very good, and while the campus is not overly crowded, it is just the right size for socializing with students from various backgrounds.
