Really good college and nice crowd. Only the top students of the country get admission here.
Placements: Almost 90% of the students were placed. The highest package was above 1 crore, and the lowest was around 10 lacs. Companies that came for placements were Google, Microsoft, Nvidia, and many more core and non-core companies. The percentage of students getting internships was also high, about 80%. The roles offered were in tech, the core chemical field, consulting, analyst positions, etc.
Infrastructure: IITs have top-notch facilities and infrastructure. Chemical labs are equipped with the latest technologies, apparatuses, and equipment. The library is open for about 20 hours and is also equipped with Wi-Fi. The quality of food in the mess and canteen is excellent. The sports facilities lack a bit; the fields are very crowded.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and have years of experience in their fields. They are very knowledgeable. The teaching quality is not so good, as teachers can't explain everything. The course curriculum is very relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. The semester exams are very difficult, and the pass percentage is around 98%.

A college with good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Placements are good. Both core and non-core options are open for all branches. The most preferred non-core options are in consultancy, finance, and software development. In the PI branch, most people opt for non-core. Most companies don't differentiate on the basis of branch. They just want people with the required skills.
Infrastructure: Hostels have good infrastructure, especially the new ones. The mess food quality is good and hygienic. Quality control is provided from time to time.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-qualified and very supportive. They are always ready to help and advise even if you are not taking any of their courses. They always welcome doubts and questions. We can email them anytime or reach their office during office hours.

Absolutely dissatisfied with the course curriculum of mathematics and computing department at IIT D.
Placements: The highest package would be around 2 CR, which is PPO. And the lowest, I would say, CTC is 8 lpa. I'm in the mathematics and computing branch at IIT Delhi, so I would say that till the 4th day, almost 50% were placed and till the 10th, 75%. As per the recession, it's quite okay for me. But in normal situations, it could have been way better. Top companies like Graviton, NVidia, Google, Microsoft and many more. The top two roles were software and data analysts.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available in my department are quite good, as per need. We have proper classes in the lecture hall and have Wi-Fi access at all locations on campus. Also, library hours are nice. And we have 24*7 access to the library at times of examination. Mess food quality is okay, not worse and not good. I'm in the Himadri Hostel. The canteen is okay too and medical facilities are also okay. The same goes for sports and games.
Faculty: Average teaching quality was very nice and some professors connected really well with us and conveyed concepts but we have some not-so-good professors too who aren't interested in average students and focused only on tips, which is not quite a good strategy. The course curriculum for my branch could be made more structured and flexible. Semester exams are difficult; it depends on the professor taking the course but overall, if you have prepared for the whole semester, it's easy and if you only do them two days before exams, it's going to be tough.
Other: I wanted to be in only the top IITs, so I took the most valuable branch I could get, which is mathematics and computing, at IIT Delhi. The best thing is that you are going to get placed even if you are putting in very little effort. To be improved would be its curriculum and the way of teaching. Extracurricular activities were excellent at IIT Delhi, but they have declined in recent years.

Review of IIT Delhi - Indian Institute of Technology.
Placements: About 70% of students got placed. The highest salary package offered is around 2 CPA. The average salary package offered is around 25 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Goldman Sachs, Texas Instruments, and Microsoft. About half of the students received internship offers. Top roles are offered in IT, consulting, and core engineering fields.
Infrastructure: We have proper Wi-Fi. There are clean and well-equipped labs. Some labs have non-functional equipment. Classrooms are mostly clean. The food is mostly alright, not good to be honest. There is a hospital on campus. Doctors are not good. Sports facilities are good.
Faculty: Teachers are very qualified. They are good researchers. All courses are very well-structured, especially the computer science course. It prepares students well for the industry. Semester exams are set perfectly, and grading makes it very hard to fail exams. Only 5% of students fail exams.

This college can be a bit stressfull sometimes, but overall a dream college for all.
Placements: 80 to 90% of students got placed last year. The placement ratio is pretty good. No data on the highest and the lowest package is known as of right now. For my course, in the core, the top recruiters are OIL, pharmaceutical companies, and Indian Oil. Non-core recruiters are all that recruit in all branches. No data for internship percentage. No idea about the roles offered in our course.
Infrastructure: The labs are in holder buildings known as blocks. They are a bit worn down due to them being pretty old. Rest no information. Regarding hostels, it is a bit cramped. Three people are allotted a room for two. Sometimes water supply gets shut off at night. For sports, there is a badminton and basketball court and a Table tennis table. Wi-Fi is also good. Food can be bad sometimes.
Faculty: Not many ideas regarding this since I am a first-year student where all the courses are common for all and nothing branch specific is taught. Right now in the first year of Sem 1 courses in electrical, CS Physics and Maths are taught. The teachers are good. I don't think it is that relevant since what is the use of an electrical course for someone pursuing chemical engineering? Passing is not that difficult but maintaining a good CGPA definitely is.

IIT Delhi: The average college in India.
Placements: IIT Delhi has a strong placement record for Textile Engineering students. About 80% of students secure jobs through campus placements. The placement cell works with top recruiters to provide students with valuable preparation resources and support.
Infrastructure: IIT Delhi's hostel infrastructure is in dire need of an upgrade. Many of the hostels are over 60 years old, and have seen minimal renovation or upgrades in recent years. A modern update would greatly improve the overall living experience. The IITD hospital also has its limitations, with a shortage of well-qualified doctors and outdated facilities. This can make it challenging for students to receive quality medical care on campus. On a positive note, the library stands out as a valuable resource, offering a well-organized, quiet space for study, with a wide range of academic resources and materials that effectively support the academic needs of students.
Faculty: IIT Delhi's Textile Engineering department has highly qualified, knowledgeable, and committed professors. They make complex topics understandable and help students develop technical skills and analytical thinking. However, the administration, including certain deans and the academic body, can be difficult to deal with. Their strict policies and rigid grading practices can be stressful and affect students' CGPA outcome. Students may feel that there is less flexibility and support for their well-being and academic growth.

Q:   Does IIT Delhi provide hostel accommodation to its students?

A:
Yes, IIT Delhi offers adequate hostel facilities for all students. The hostel at IIT Delhi was built in the 1960s. And, they're managed well to date. The rooms are less spacious if you and your roommates wish to stay in the room all the time (it doesn't happen though). Below mentioned is a review of the IIT Delhi hostel facilities, as per a recent graduate: "There are 3 beds on which many people sleep (mostly 5+ at exam times). There are 3 tables, 3 chairs and 2 almirahs with four slots each. There are two LAN ports for 3 people. You manage it as there is a Wi-Fi facility too. Also, in a room, there are two fans, two tube lights and four electricity boards."
