An engineering life at IIT Kharagpur is very joyful and good.

Placements: 85 to 90 percent of students got placed in my course. The highest package ranges from 20-24 LPA. The lowest package ranges from 4-5 LPA. The average package ranges from 8-10 LPA. Top recruiting companies for my course are Accenture, TCS, Infosys, etc. 70-77 percent of students got internships. Top roles offered are software engineer, project associate, analyst, etc.

Infrastructure: Many facilities are available in our college. Wi-Fi is very good and useful for our academic career. High-speed Wi-Fi is also available at our central library. Hostel facilities are available and comfortable. Hostel food is satisfactory, but it is not good. There are good games to play, like cricket, carrom, etc.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, technically qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is very good. They are teaching theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Semester exams are very difficult and tricky. In physics, the weave topic is difficult. I don't know about the pass percentage now.

Other: I chose this course on my own because I'm not interested in coding and in core subjects. Best part of our course is the balance of practical labs and theoretical depth. Events and fests are not very enjoyable.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of IIT Kharagpur is very good, as it has high-speed Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi), and it also has many labs that are very good and well-maintained by the college. The mess food is also very good and hygienic, and the hostels are also well-maintained.

Faculty: Teachers at IIT Kharagpur are very nice and good for students, as many of them hold PhDs or master's degrees in their field. They are well-experienced in their respective fields, and they make the students industry-ready, so they don't have to suffer.

Placements: A very high percentage of students get placed in this course 88%. The highest and lowest packages for my course are between 12 LPA to 4 LPA. Top companies are also recruiting students from my course. A high percentage of students have internships in big companies like Zebronics.

Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available in my department are excellent. Wi-Fi, classrooms, and the library are all available. The quality and facilities in the hostel are very good. The food made in the college is not tasty. Medical and sports facilities are available in the college.

Faculty: Teachers are very qualified and knowledgeable. They have good teaching qualities. The course curriculum is relevant, but students are not industry-ready. The semester exams in my college are very difficult. The pass percentage in exams is 40% in all subjects.

Review of Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.

Placements: IIT Kharagpur is one of the top 10 IIT colleges. It is difficult to get a seat, the seats are allocated by writing the JEE Advanced. Many students are showing interest in getting a seat in an IIT college. 90 percent of students got placed from our course. The highest package is 70 LPA, the lowest package is 12 LPA, and the average package is 22 LPA. The top companies visited are Microsoft, Flipkart, and Amazon.

Infrastructure: The IIT Kharagpur infrastructure is old, but it's clean and filled with greenery. All facilities are available in our college, with full speed of Wi-Fi, all resources are available in our college, with full security, and the hostel rooms are clean, and the hostel food is tasty and hygienic.

Faculty: All faculty members are well-trained after completing post-graduation, and their teaching skills are excellent. They explain clearly. The faculty members are friendly with students, the academics of IIT colleges are tougher and difficult to get good marks, but the education prepares the students to get ready to pace. The semesters are difficult, but it is easy to pass the semester exam.

Placements: Placements were wonderful expected from a top IIT. Many multinational companies visited our college. Almost all students got jobs abroad or in India. Microsoft, Google, Facebook, Apple, Samsung, etc, were the recruiters. The highest package offered was 44LPA and the lowest package offered was 12LPA.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure was world class. This was the best campus in all of India. Classrooms were made fully furnished by the British Empire. All facilities were available in the classrooms. Library is like a university campus, with all types of books in the world available. There are gardens, a swimming pool, different grounds for different sports and many extracurricular activities present. Hostels are very good. Mess food is very good.

Faculty: This is the IT all world class professors are available here. All topmost professors are present at IIT Kharagpur. The course curriculum is very good but many students' thought processes are far away. The course Curriculum consists of two semesters in a year. The IIT question papers are very tough. Many students are doing internships and projects throughout the year.

Dissatisfied because of my expectations by college.

Placements: 20% of students are placed in on-campus placements. The highest package is 50 LPA, the lowest is 10 LPA, and the average is around 18 LPA. Core placement companies like Airbus, Being, Rolls Royce, Altair, etc., visit the campus. 10-15% of students secure internships. Roles like Structures Engineer and Control Engineer are available.

Infrastructure: Most of the classes are held in other buildings (not in the department). For labs, we have to visit the department. The Wi-Fi facility, labs, classrooms, and department library are well-maintained and clean. The same can be said for the hostels, but the food available in the mess is just okay. We have one of the best sports facilities and good medical facilities.

Faculty: Professors are very well-qualified and insightful. The teaching quality varies across professors, but most of them are good at teaching. The course helps build core knowledge, but we have to work on our own to make ourselves industry-proficient by seeking help from seniors and professors. The semester exams are tough, and the pass percentage is around 90%.

Other: There is no particular reason for me to select the course. I just got interested in it during the counseling period. The best thing about the course is that it provides most of the mechanical engineering knowledge along with aerodynamics, which is quite popular in other countries. The number of companies coming for placements is low, and the same can be said for the core placement percentage. Most of the events are held in January (two fests, Kshitij, and Springs Fest), and they are quite enjoyable with friends.
