The GATE 2025 registration process is open for admission to the MTech course, and the last registration date with late fee is Oct 7, 2024. Further, the GATE 2025 exam will be conducted on Feb 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025.

A few more updates are given below:

The IIT JAM 2025 online registration process for admission to the MSc course is open now, and the last date to apply is Oct 11, 2024. The IIT JAM 2025 exam is scheduled for Feb 2, 2025.

IIT Kharagpur fee structure is a combination of a number of components, such as tuition fee, hostel fee, medical insurance, mess and other security deposits, etc. Out of all the fee components, there are a few components that are charged one-time by IIT Kharagpur, however, some are to be paid semester-wise or annually, such as the tuition fees. The IIT Kharagpur fees amount further is different depending upon the course or specialisation selected by the students. Best college life outside the city filled with enjoyable moments and good placements.

Placements: The placements at IIT KGP are awesome. In chemical engineering, the average package offered was about 18 lakhs and the highest package was 66 lakhs CTC. Being a core engineering branch, chemical engineering offers many core jobs making it the best branch but also unmatched with CSE.

Infrastructure: The WiFi is overall good. In hostel, the mess food is not up to the mark. Night canteens are available and they are worthy. The sport facilities are good but you need to bring equipments all by yourself. The library is one of the biggest ones of the country with some part of it being air conditioned. There is a separate digital section for PC. The classrooms are good but they can't match those of IIT Bombay.

Faculty: The teachers are very helpful. They are quite knowledgeable but they one may find it difficult to understand the Bengali accent of the professors. The first year curriculum is not that relevant but from second year onwards it is very much course driven. The semester exams are not that tough but you have to be well prepared for the papers.

Good college, good facilities, okayish hostel, and above-average placements.

Placements: 60-70 percent of students were placed in my course. The highest package was around 40 LPA, the lowest was 8-9 LPA, and the average was 13 LPA. Top recruiting companies included Amazon, Cairn, Vedanta, British Petroleum, and Schaumburger. Relatively few students secured internships in core as well as software companies.

Infrastructure: The college offers 24/7 Wi-Fi, classrooms equipped with AC and projectors, and well-equipped labs. The hostels have good rooms, and the quality of food is decent for the price, though it could be improved. Medical facilities are okay, and there are good facilities for sports. However, some of the facilities are quite poor despite being a tier 1 college.

Faculty: Teachers are qualified, most are helpful and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is relevant but compressed without limit. It is relatively easy to pass if you have attended all classes; almost everyone passes. The assessment is designed in such a way that students should not be stressed about passing or failing a course in this branch.

IIT of joy - IIT Kharagpur.

Placements: As per last year's statistics, 68.75% of students get placed with the highest and minimum package of 33 and 8.5 Lacs, respectively. The average package was 17.96 lacs, and the median package was 16.50 lacs. Companies like Nestle, Britannia, etc. come every year for placements. Approximately 30 to 40% % students get internships in companies like Nestle, Britannia, etc.

Infrastructure: IIT KGP has great infrastructure with all facilities; my department has AC classrooms with modern projectors to teach. Wi-Fi is available on the whole campus, and at the same time, library facilities are also good. We have a central library that has all the useful books. Free bus and medical services are provided inside the campus. The hostel provides all required facilities, including sports, proper electricity supply, furniture, etc. But mess food is below average.

Faculty: All teachers are helpful; you approach them first and are well qualified. A few teachers are involved in some research. They thought so as well. Yes, the curriculum is relevant for my industry but a little modification is required. Marking is relatively new, so their are no fixed passing criteria. Their are two major exams in a semester, mid-semester and end-semester. Some courses are very tough and some are medium. Overall, the semester is above average.

Other: I chose this course because it is related to my culture and I was looking for the top 5 IITs while counseling and as per my rank, I got this. The best thing about this course is that it is not a loaded branch, so we can get a lot of free time to skill up ourselves. A new and advanced farming method should be thought of. Various events and extra activities happen yearly, like Malhar, NSSC, shaurya, Indian case challenge, etc. Two major festivals—Kshitij, a technical fest and Springs Fest—happen in January every year.

The best experience of my life, good placements and India's top most institute.

Placements: Almost 70 to 80% of students got placed previous year and the top recruiting companies are Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Flipkart, etc. The highest package in the previous year was more than 50 lacs, when the lowest was less than 10 Lacs. Students also got internships from top companies like Microsoft and Amazon.

Infrastructure: Hostels are good There are 3 people in one room with a bed, table, and proper Wi-Fi connection, and there is also a mess, and there is also a library and gym in the hall. There is also a hospital on campus, and medical support is available. There are also many sports grounds where we can play football, basketball, badminton, and many more games.

Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified, their teaching is good, and the courses relevant we have in our syllabus are advanced calculus, chemistry, engineering, mechanics, and basic electronics. The semester exams are not too difficult but not too easy, and the passing percentage is, I think, 30%.

Review of Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (IIT KGP) .

Placements: Almost all students who applied for a dual degree are in my course. The average package is 15 LPA, the lowest is around 10 LPA, and I am not sure about the highest. Almost more than 70% students got internships in different companies like Texas, JLR, ITC, etc.

Infrastructure: Campus provide 24-hour Wi-Fi all over across the campus Students can easily get access based on their students information, like using Roll No. And library facility are also available; it also has digital library within the library building. The hostels and food is somewhat okay; it is manageable, and students has all facilities like hospital, sports and games, swimming pools, restaurants, etc.

Faculty: Professors are very talented and knowledgeable. Along with the theory classes, there will be laboratory classes where we can actually get to know about concepts and applications more clearly. As long as one attends class regularly, exams won't be much of a problem based on the professors; they might be easy also.
