IIT Kharagpur campus area is over 2100 acres, over a total of 55 kilometres of roadways and approximately 10,000 students live on the campus. There are plenty of facilities and centres for extracurriculars available inside the IIT Kharagpur campus such as the Student Activity Center better known as the Technology Students' Gymkhana, Jnan Ghosh and Tata Sports Complex for various sports activities, Social and Cultural Centre, Counselling Centre, B C Roy Technology Hospital and various cafeterias.

IIT Kharagpur hostels offer various facilities for its residences such as uninterrupted Wi-Fi, canteens, stationery shop, juice centres, night canteens, tea shops, common room with TV, swimming pool, bank, market, gym facilities, and many other facilities.
Almost every room in each hall of residence is furnished with a bed, table, chair, high-speed LAN ports, fans, lights and adequate electricity ports. The quantity of the aforementioned things may vary depending upon the occupancy of the room whether it’s single room, double sharing or triple occupancy sharing.
Also, some halls (hostel is referred to as hall of residence at IIT Kharagpur and hostellers as boarders) have washing machine facilities and some don’t. Laundry service is available at a reasonable price.

It has been catering to the needs of the ten thousand students of undergraduates, postgraduates, research scholar, seven hundred faculty members and more than thousand staff members of the 19 departments, 14 centres, 12 schools and 11 research facilities of the Institute. Central Library provides IP based access to 20,664 full-text e-Journals, and 1,22,744 full-text e-books to the users. Infrastructure: The infrastructure of IIT Kharagpur is very good, as it has high-speed Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi), and it also has many labs that are very good and well-maintained by the college. The mess food is also very good and hygienic, and the hostels are also well-maintained.
Infrastructure: The IIT Kharagpur infrastructure is old, but it's clean and filled with greenery. All facilities are available in our college, with full speed of Wi-Fi, all resources are available in our college, with full security, and the hostel rooms are clean, and the hostel food is tasty and hygienic.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available in my department was very super. Wi-Fi, classrooms, and library everything is available. The quality and facility in hostel was very good. Food made in college was not tasty. Medical and sports is available in the college.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure was world class. This was the best campus in all of India. Classrooms were made fully furnished by the British Empire. All facilities were available in the classrooms. Library is like a university campus, with all types of books in the world available. There are gardens, a swimming pool, different grounds for different sports and many extracurricular activities present. Hostels are very good. Mess food is very good.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi connection is smooth and good, and is available through the hostel's classroom library and even the auditoriums. It has one of the biggest libraries, but some books are not so well-maintained. The quality of food is enough to survive in terms of taste, but it is also nutritious for the body. Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available in my department are excellent. Wi-Fi, classrooms, and the library are all available. The quality and facilities in the hostel are very good. The food made in the college is not tasty. Medical and sports facilities are available in the college.
Infrastructure: The academic section is excellent. Wi-Fi (avg speed 200mbps) is available throughout the whole campus. Hostels are not up to date. In the first year, you will get a triple-sharing room. From the second year, you may get a triple sharing or a single room, depending on the hostel you are allotted. From the third year onwards, you are allotted single rooms.
Infrastructure: There are around 21 hostels in the institute, approximately 16 hostels for boys and 5 for girls. I live in Nehru Hall. This is one of the oldest hostels in IIT Kharagpur. Sundar Pichai also stayed here. There are facilities like Wi-Fi, cooler, geyser, LAN connection, etc. The mess food quality is average, as in most of the hostels. They serve food 4 times a day, 2 heavy meals and 2 light meals. Hostel and mess fees are usually around Rs. 40,000 per semester. There are also gyms, basketball court...
Infrastructure: 24/7 Wi-Fi is available with good speed. The Department building is huge, and advanced machinery and devices are present in the lab. There is a Nescafe just outside the department for refreshment, and there is a personal departmental library for the Biotech students.
Infrastructure: There is a decent infrastructure and a great place to learn. The library is one of the best of its kind. Hostels are the things that could be better in some way or another. Hostel life is, in another way, mostly beautiful with our people around, and food quality is also good. Need to adjust sometimes.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure of college is good. Wi-Fi system is available at every corner of campus. Labs, classrooms, library are well managed and have good air-conditioned systems. Mess food is so good. There is a hospital inside the campus as well. Sports facilities are so good. Students can make their career in sports also.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure in our department are very good. I like my department very much since I am more interested in it. The Wi-Fi and the labs are well maintained, and there is a large library in our institute that is also well maintained; it is our main resource to prepare effectively for examinations. I am from the South, and while I don't like the food that much, it's healthy.
Infrastructure: Our campus is well-equipped with all necessary facilities. We have Wi-Fi access across the campus with a decent speed and good latency. The food available in the hostel and mess is horrendous. It seems very bad to say that IIT Kharagpur cannot provide well-cooked food to students.
