Best IIT ever, making great careers.
Placements: There were 95% of students who got placed in companies. Top and reputed companies visit our college for placements. The highest package offered by the companies is 62 LPA and the lowest is 7 LPA. Companies like Google, Facebook and Amazon recently visited our college for placements and they also offer internships to us. From the 2nd year, we are supposed to get eligible for internships and from the 7th semester, we get eligible for placements. The conduct of placements in our college, IIT Kharagpur, is CDC. They also conduct internships.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is the biggest strength of our college; we have the most organized IIT campus among others. We have a lot of ground to cover to improve our skills in sports and other extracurricular activities. The campus is also green because of the trees around it. Course is all about electronics and communication. The college also has canteens in it and has good eateries. The college is on like 2100 acres so we have a lot of space in the college.
Faculty: Course curriculum is diverse and we have everything involved in course curriculum, which helps us build our career in this fast-growing and diverse world. We have the option of taking breath from other subjects so that we can gain knowledge of other subjects too. We have labs that are built according to real-time problem solving and we get projects in the same way. Evaluation is done by mid-semester, end-semester, and class tests, and the difficult level of the exam is moderate.
Other: I chose this course with the intention of becoming a better IITian with a good branch so I took it.

Exploring Excellence: A Review of IIT Kharagpur.
Placements: According to last year's placement history, these are the core companies that visited : 1. Coal India 2. Bharat Aluminum Company Ltd. 3. Damodar Valley Corporation. 4. Jindal Steel & Power Ltd. 5. Tata Steel. 6. Vedanta (Hindustan Zinc Ltd) Vedanta Aluminum Ltd. has a minimum package of 10–12 LPA, while the maximum can be 30–40 LPA.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure provided by the IIT KGP play an equally significant role in the process of learning. Great learning facilities like smart classrooms, well-furnished labs, and well-conditioned physical and digital libraries make "ASIA's the largest library.". The campus has a gym called THE STUDENT ACTIVITY Center with modern equipment like bicycles, chest presses, etc. IIT Kharagpur has two stadiums for hockey, football, cricket and athletics; apart from that, there is space for sports like swimming and water polo. The B.C. Roy Technology Hospital is available for the students health. They provide 24/7 medical facilities.
Faculty: The faculty at IIT KGP are highly talented, and many are contributing to the development of the nation in their own ways. The faculty teaching in the IIT KPP are very skilled; they invested their overall lives in the research and became better. The quality of teaching is very good; they teach in such a way that even a person with zero knowledge is able to understand it. They link the concepts to daily life situations to keep the conceptual background very strong. They are very useful for attempting many examinations," like GATE. Just by attending all the classes, one can secure decent ranks in the central examinations, apart from semester exams. In this branch, the academics are very good; even by attending classes and listening to them properly, you can get 80–90% marks easily.

IIT of joy - IIT Kharagpur.
Placements: As per last year's statistics, 68.75% of students get placed with the highest and minimum package of 33 and 8.5 Lacs, respectively. The average package was 17.96 lacs, and the median package was 16.50 lacs. Companies like Nestle, Britannia, etc. come every year for placements. Approximately 30 to 40% % students get internships in companies like Nestle, Britannia, etc.
Infrastructure: IIT KGP has great infrastructure with all facilities; my department has AC classrooms with modern projectors to teach. Wi-Fi is available on the whole campus, and at the same time, library facilities are also good. We have a central library that has all the useful books. Free bus and medical services are provided inside the campus. The hostel provides all required facilities, including sports, proper electricity supply, furniture, etc. But mess food is below average.
Faculty: All teachers are helpful; you approach them first and are well qualified. A few teachers are involved in some research. They thought so as well. Yes, the curriculum is relevant for my industry but a little modification is required. Marking is relatively new, so their are no fixed passing criteria. Their are two major exams in a semester, mid-semester and end-semester. Some courses are very tough and some are medium. Overall, the semester is above average.
Other: I chose this course because it is related to my culture and I was looking for the top 5 IITs while counseling and as per my rank, I got this. The best thing about this course is that it is not a loaded branch, so we can get a lot of free time to skill up ourselves. A new and advanced farming method should be thought of. Various events and extra activities happen yearly, like Malhar, NSSC, shaurya, Indian case challenge, etc. Two major festivals—Kshitij, a technical fest and Springs Fest—happen in January every year.

Hectic curriculum but nice campus vibes.
Placements: Almost 79 percentage of students get placed under mechanical engineering course in IIT Kharagpur. The highest CTC offered around 74 LPA as of 2022-23 states and minimum around 22 LPA. The average of the course is 19 LPA. Top recruiting companies include jaguar, etc.
Infrastructure: Mechanical engineering department of IIT Kharagpur is the largest in the country. Lecture halls are completely air conditioned. Free Wi-Fi is available to all the students registered under the erp portals of the college. Well-equipped labs are present. A centrally located library is there. Talking of the hostel, as it is the oldest IIT in the nation, major hostel infrastructures date back to 80s and 90s. Wi-Fi, library and store facilities are there in hostel but mess food average to adjustable.
Faculty: Talking of the teachers, what I felt is most them are well-equipped with several degrees in hand and a lot of knowledge but coming to scenario of conveying lectures many of them lack the skill. We prepare for exams mostly through online lectures. But in our department we have got some nice teachers as well who are so friendly and good at teaching. And the curriculum may be bit hectic but the way they arranged the exams is nice so that portions get covered on time and no need to worry on long term process of remembering things. Time flies in KGP.

Review of IIT Kharagpur - Indian Institute of Technology.
Placements: Every year almost 65-70 percent are placed (Even in IITs) in the first phase and in the second phase 60-70 percent are placed of remaining students. So, almost everyone gets placed. The median and average are around 20 LPA and the highest 65 LPA. The data of internships is very unstable year-wise, and there is no reliable data. Most people go for non-core tech jobs.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi, labs, and classrooms are top-notch; they are the best of what you can get in an Indian engineering college (as we all know IITs are funded heavily by the government). The mess food is above average as compared to other colleges but not the best. But definitely more than just edible. Medical and sports facilities are good and free.
Faculty: Our professors are mostly scientists in DRDO and they are national assets. So, I won't comment on their knowledge. Yes, courses are except some. The semester exams happen twice a semester and they are like board exams, much easier than JEE. Pass percentage is 25-30 percent marks.
