The minimum qualification required for a higher secondary Teacher is as mentioned below:
1. Graduate with minimum 50% marks.
2. 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education).
3. 1 year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) or 4 years of Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
4. Passed the CTET (Central Teaching Eligibility Test).5. Specialisation in your main subject (mathematics, physics, chemistry, economics, accounts, commerce, etc.).

You can change your stream after you PUC, and as you have studied Science, you can change your stream to any possibly available stream by just pursuing any of the course of that field. But, remember to change only if you are interested in any other field of study.
