Q:   What if I have submitted more than one RRB NTPC application form 2024?

A:

Candidates should submit only one application for RRB NTPC exam. If candidates submit multiple application forms then their applications will be rejected. Candidates are required to apply online for the exam. The application fee for all candidates except the fee concession categories is INR 500 whereas it is INR 250 for PwBD/Female/Transgender/ Ex-Servicemen/SC/ST/Minority Communities/ Economically Backward Class.

 

Q:   What details do I need to enter in the RRB NTPC application form?

A:
In RRB NTPC registration form, candidates need to enter their name, date of birth, father's name, mother's name, Aadhaar number, SSLC/Matric roll number, year of passing, mobile number and email-ID. Before submitting the registration, ensure and confirm that all the information given are correct. The registration details cannot be changed later. Candidates should note that their email and mobile numbers will be verified during the Online Application process with a One Time Password (OTP).. .
 

Q:   My RRB NTPC application form has been rejected due to invalid photograph. What should I do?

A:

RRBs reject the RRB NTPC application form if the photographs of candidates are not valid. The photograph should be in JPEG format and the size of photograph should be between 20 kb to 50 kb. Candidates are advised to upload their photographs correctly to avoid rejection in the application form. The photograph should be uploaded as per the specifications prescribed by the examination authority. The reasons for rejection of RRB NTPC application are given below:

  • Invalid photos on account of Black and White photo, photo with cap or wearing Goggles. Photos which are disfigured, small size, full body, showing only one side view of the face, unrecognizable photos, photostatcopy of photo, group photo,
    selfie photo, photo taken by mobile, morphed photo and online application without photo among others.
    Signature in capital/block letters
  • Not possessing the prescribed qualification for the post(s) as on the closing date of registration
  • Over-aged or under-aged or Date of Birth wrongly filled
  • Multiple applications to different RRBs or to same RRB. In such case, all applications will be rejected and such candidates will be debarred from future RRB/RRC exams
  • Candidate's name figuring in the debarred list of any RRB/RRC
  • Incomplete or incorrectly filled application
  • Any other irregularities which are observed and considered as invalid by RRB

Q:   What are the different stages of RRB NTPC Cut off?

The cut off of RRB NTPC is released for the following stages:

RRB NTPC Cut off for CBT 1

RRB NTPC CBT 1 cut off is released based on the marks scored in General Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence and Reasoning. The cutoff for CBT 1 is calculated out of 100 marks. 

RRB NTPC Cut off for CBT 2

RRB NTPC CBT 2 cut off is calculated out of 120 marks. Candidates who will secure RRB NTPC Cut off in CBT 2 are shortlisted for document verification, Typing Skill Test/Computer-based Aptitude Test (CBAT) (As per the posts).

RRB NTPC Cut off for CBAT

This stage is conducted for Station Master (SM)/Traffic Assistant (TA) posts. Candidates eight times the number of vacancies based on their performance in CBT 2 are shortlisted for this stage. The qualifying marks prescribed for this stage are 42 which candidates need to secure in each test battery. To shortlist candidates for document verification, the examination authority will fix the cut-off marks for this stage.

RRB NTPC Cut off for Typing Skill Test (TST)

The typing skill test is conducted for Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist, Senior Time Keeper, Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist and Junior Time Keeper, Typing Skill Test (TST) posts. To qualify for this stage, candidates need to secure the cutoff marks.

RRB NTPC Cut off  for Document Verification

Candidates are called for document verification based on their performance in CBT 2 and CBAT/TST (as per the posts). The examination authority decides RRB NTPC Cut off marks to call candidates for document verification. Candidates clearing the document verification are called for Medical Fitness Test.

RRB NTPC Result

RRB NTPC result is declared online on the official websites of RRBs. The result is made available in PDF format and comprises the roll numbers of qualified candidates. The scorecard is made available along with the result and candidates can download it by logging with the user ID and password. 

 

RRB NTPC Salary

RRBs offer a handsome salary package along with other benefits. The salary is as per Seventh Pay Commission for undergraduate and graduate posts. RRB NTPC salary structure is given below.

One has to be proficient in the language and have a good typing speed.

Works in the Department of Finance and Accounts.

Traffic Assistant

  • This job profile demands the person to be in charge of traffic signals
  • He/She might have to work in shifts depending upon the movement and management of trains
  • The onboarding process provides 45 days of training
  • Job Profile for Goods Guard
  • Manages the running of a goods train and checks for loose ends in the train
  • Coordinates with the Station Master regarding arrival and departure
  • Manages the condition of the train (Vehicle Guidance Report, cross-checking safety requirements of the train)
  • There is no fixed timing for work hence, this post requires high flexibility. Training is provided in your Zonal Training Institute
  • Works with Station Master and communicates information about the arrival and departure of trains, etc.

Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk

  • Candidates must have good typing efficiency
  • Manages junior clerks in the departments
  • Works in various departments(engineering departments-electrical, electronics, mechanical, etc.)
  • Working hours are fixed

Senior Clerk cum Typist

  • Candidates must have good typing efficiency
  • Manages and supervises junior clerks in the departments
  • Works in various departments(engineering departments-electrical, electronics, mechanical, etc.)
  • Working hours are fixed

Junior Account Assistant cum Typist

  • Provides administrative support to the accountants along with assisting with the clerical task of typing
  • Work involves accounting terminologies or using spreadsheets
  • Keeps the accounts of the railway according to the rules
  • Assists in Complies the Railway Budget from various departments
  • The candidate has to pass the Computer Based Test(Hindi/English proficiency). He has to work in various departments

Senior Time Keeper

  • They Maintain the time records of the movement of the trains hence, they have to be in sync with the train network
  • The workload is high as this post requires a great deal of management of time records
  • The person has to work in different shifts (focus and flexibility)
  • The training period will be 45 days after selection

Commercial Apprentice

  • The person is a mid-level multi-skilled supervisor
  • Has to maintain the balance between the field staff and people at the higher level of the bureaucracy
  • Training period- 2 years of training duty as Commercial Clerks, Goods clerks, Commercial Inspectors, Zonal/Divisional Headquarter Inspector, etc

Station Master

  • As the name suggests, the person is in charge of the station
  • The person is responsible for the smooth arrival/departure of the trains in a punctual manner
  • Has to make sure passengers are provided with all the basic amenities in the railway station
  • The person is the person of contact at the railway station
  • Bigger stations have more than one station master

The Indian Railways hold the RRB NTPC examination for non-technical positions. The exam is currently being conducted in four stages for more than 35,000 vacancies in railways. 1. The highest cutoff typically goes to the senior clerk/typist post because of the position's popularity at Level 2. 2. With this job, you can work in the division's DRM office and balance your work and personal lives better. Your work will be office-based with no field visits and a fixed holiday. 3. After this post, station masters and commercial apprentices are preferred in Level 6. These posts offer a comparatively better salary and supervisory authority. 4. According to government notification, there will be no interviews at the Group C and Group D level post recruitment. The RRB NTPC recruits for Group C level posts in railways; there will be no interviews for the RRB NTPC at levels 2, 3,4,5, and 6. The selection process for NTPC is as follows: 1. First Stage Computer Based Test, 2. Second-stage computer-based test 3. The third stage is a typing skill test or a computer-based aptitude test, depending on the post. 4. Finally, document verification and a medical examination will be done after shortlisting aspirants.
